Color block. O lo que es lo mismo, contraste de dos colores diferentes.
Sabéis que suelo recurrir muchas veces a este binomio porque pienso que menos es más, y combinando dos colores apropiados podemos conseguir un estilismo muy acertado.
Soy muy fan de los pantalones midi esta temporada, ya lo habéis visto hehe. Me gustan porque aparte de que el corte, dejando ver el tobillo, me parece algo muy sexy (como diría mi padre, él se enamoró de mi madre por sus finos tobillos), además me parece que sientan genial para ir tanto con zapato plano como con tacón y que estilizan cualquier figura. Hoy llevo unos de cuello alto blancos en tela de crepe, que he combinado con un jersey gris y mis nuevas sandalias en color topo. Me encanta este color porque como veis es muy neutral así que las voy a poder combinar fácilmente con muchos outfits. Además el tacón ancho y de altura media hace que las podamos llevar en el día a día sin cansarnos ni acabar con dolor de pies.
Y ya si que ha llegado el momento de dejar Madrid de nuevo y ahora mismo me voy al aeropuerto con destino Mallorca.

Color block. Or what is the same, contrast of two different colors.
You know that I often use to wear color blocked clothes because I think less is more, and by combining two appropriate colors we can get a very successful styling.
I’m a big fan of midi pants this season, as you have seen hehe. I like them because apart from the design, showing the ankle which actually seems to me something very sexy (as my dad would say, he fell in love with my mom for her thin ankles) they also look great to go with flats or heels and I do think that they stylize any body. Today I’m wearing my new white ones, high waisted, which I have combined with a gray jersey and my new sandals in taupe color. I love this color because as you can see it is very neutral so I will be able to combine them with many outfits. Besides the width and half-height heel it allows us to wear these sandals all day without getting tired or having feet pain.
And now it is time to leave Madrid again. I’m going to the airport now destination Mallorca.
A vivir que son dos días… ¡y que me quiten lo bailao’!
Tengo que reconocer que soy muy muy fan de nuestro querido refranero español. Prácticamente en cualquier situación de mi día a día puedo encontrar alguna frase que venga al caso. Además me parece algo precioso ver cómo se han ido transmitiendo de generación en generación sin perder un ápice de su esencia. Pienso que es algo muy importante de nuestra cultura.
Pues lo dicho, días grises estos últimos en Madrid si, pero qué queréis que os diga, a mi me encanta el gris. Soy de las personas que piensa que en la vida no todo es blanco o negro, y lo he dicho mil veces, sino que hay una amplia gama de grises entre ambos colores. Los extremos en la vida nunca fueron buenos. Siempre hay que intentar alcanzar un punto intermedio, al menos así es como yo lo veo.
Me voy a terminar la maleta que mañana como sabréis viajo a Mallorca donde estaré hasta el domingo. Estoy deseando llegar para contaros y enseñaros todo lo que vamos a hacer allí.

I have to admit that I’m a very big fan of our amazing Spanish proverbs. I must say that for any situation in my daily life I can find some of these quotes that explain perfectly a situation. In addition to this I find them also something beautiful. Its impressive how they have been ‘said’ from generation to generation without losing their essence. I think they are a very important part of our culture.
Well, said this, and after these last gray days in Madrid, I want to tell you that I love gray. I am one of those who think that everything in life is not white or black, and I’ve said this a thousand times. There is a wide range of gray between these two colors. I think that we always need to find the middle point, at least that’s how I see my life.
I’m going to finish now my luggage because as you would know I’m traveling to Mallorca tomorrow where I’ll be until Sunday. I’m looking forward to tell and show you everything we are going to do there!
Comenzamos nueva semana. Yo esta vez desde París donde sabéis que me quedo hasta este próximo viernes.
Por cierto, ¡qué poco queda para mi cumple (es el día 23) y ya veréis dónde lo voy a celebrar! Estoy deseando enseñaros y contaros todo lo que voy a hacer…
Bueno, una de las cosas que más me gusta hacer en París, (cómo no siendo mujer y trabajando en el mundo de la moda hehe) es irme de compras con mis ahorros para poder conseguir piezas y productos de marcas que no tenemos en España. Por ejemplo Chloe o Celine no las tenemos, sólo un mini corner en El Corte Inglés. Por eso aprovecho para ir de compras aquí y suelo hacerlo en Galerias Lafayette porque así encuentro todas las marcas en un mismo sitio.
Esta vez, ya que se va acercando la primavera y además mi próximo destino es a un sitio muuuy caluroso, he escogido dos complementos de nueva temporada en color nude. Este bolso bandolera de piel que me lo pongo tanto para el día a día metiendo las tarjetas, mi barra de labios, las llaves y el móvil como para salir por la noche. Y estas bailarinas nude que ya tengo en otros colores y que os repito lo de siempre: son un poco más caras que las de otras tiendas low cost, pero yo las tengo desde hace años y me siguen durando perfectas, y ya sabéis que en verano las uso a diario. Y no, no tengo frío en los pies porque yo al menos eso lo aguanto bien, donde más frío tengo siempre es en el cuerpo por eso lo llevo más abrigado.
El abrigo también es nuevo en mi armario y me encanta por lo calentito que es y porque el color va perfecto con mis nuevos accesorios. Jeans en gris combinando con las rayas del abrigo y jersey en beige clarito. Look sencillo y cómodo para caminar por las calles parisinas.
Como aún me queda toda la semana aquí os iré enseñando más zonas típicas y sitios a visitar aunque ya habéis visto seguramente en mi Snapchat (itgirlmarta) lo bien que nos lo pasamos en el brunch de Yeels ayer. Os recomiendo visitar este club 100%, ya sea para comer, cenar o bailar.

Let’s start a new week. And this time from Paris where you know that I’m staying until next Friday.
By the way, just 2 weeks left to my birthday (is on the 23rd) and you will see where I’m going to celebrate it! I can not wait anymore to show you and tell you what I’ll do…
Well, one of the things that I like most to do in Paris (of course being a woman and working in the fashion world hehe) is go shopping with my savings to get products and brands that we don’t have in Spain. For example Celine or Chloe we just have a mini corner in El Corte Ingles. So I take the opportunity to go shopping here and I usually do it inside Galeries Lafayette because I can find there all brands in just one place.
This time, as Spring is almost here and also my next destination is a sooo hot place, I have chosen two complements from the new season in nude color. This leather shoulder bag that I’m wearing today and that I use for my day a day just taking my cards, my lipstick, the keys and my mobile but I also wear it to go out at night. And these nude flats fro, the same brand that I already have in other colors and I repeat you the same message: they are a little more expensive than other low cost stores yes, but I have them for years and they are still in perfect conditions, and you know that in Spring/Summer time I use them daily. And no, I do not have cold feet because I can stand it well, is in the body where I wear warmer clothes.
The coat is also new in in my closet and I love it because is so warm and because the color matches perfectly with my new accessories. Gray ripped jeans combined with the gray stripes of the coat. Simple and comfortable outfit to walk the streets of Paris.
As I will still be all week here in Paris I will show you more typical places and restaurants to visit although surely you have seen many of them in my Snapchat (itgirlmarta) like the super brunch we had yesterday in Yeels. I recommend you to visit this club 100%, either for lunch, dinner or dancing.
Viniendo de Madrid donde puedo salir, al menos yo, tranquilamente con tacones y zapatillas sin calcetines a la calle, la verdad es que me “emocioné” al hacer la maleta. Me pasó lo mismo el año pasado.
Este año como os dije, y más concretamente estos días, se está viviendo en Nueva York la ola de frío más fría desde el año 1.947. Se me congela todo el cuerpo pero de verdad que ha habido momentos en los que no sentía los dedos de las manos y los pies, ¡pensaba realmente que me los iban a cortar!
El caso es que estas fotos que hice con mi amiga Bea el primer día fueron con un top de pedrería semitransparente que quería enseñaros desde que me lo compré. Al llevar detalles en negro y azul lo combiné con unos jeans vaqueros estilo boyfriend y un abrigo negro. Me he traído pocos tacones para estos días pero unos que no podían faltar son estos tricolor ya que los puedo combinar con ropa y complementos en negro, blanco y rojo.
El viernes por la tarde tuvimos el desfile de Nika Tang. Después volvimos al hotel a cambiarnos y fuimos a cenar a uno de los restaurantes más conocidos de la ciudad: café Clover. Por último nos dirigimos a la fiesta que la firma Calvin Klein organizó en Brooklyn con modelos, directores de prensa, bloggers, etc. Yo no soy muy fiestera y como estamos durmiendo muy poco estos días porque no paramos literalmente en todo el día pues nos fuimos más o menos pronto de vuelta al hotel.

Day 1 of New York Fashion Week.
Coming from Madrid, where I can perfectly wear with heels and sneakers without socks in my day a day, the truth is that I got too “excited” packing… It happened the same to me last year.
This year, as I said, specifically these days, New York is living the coldest cold wave since 1.947. I freeze my whole body and really there’s been some moments when I didn’t feel my fingers and toes, I really thought they were going to cut them off!
The fact is that these pictures I took with my friend Bea for the first fashion shows we had were around our hotel area. I wanted to show you this cool embroiled top since I bought it.Having all these details in black and blue I decided to combine it with boyfriend style jeans and a black fur coat. I brought a few heels for these days but one that I could not miss are these tricolor ones because I can combine them with clothes and accessories in black, white and red.
On Friday afternoon we had Nika Tang fashion show. Then we returned back to the hotel to change our clothes for the night and we went to have dinner at one of the most popular restaurants of the city: Café Clover. Finally we went to the party that the top brand Calvin Klein organized in Brooklyn, plenty of models, press directors, bloggers, etc. I’m not so much party girl you know so as we are sleeping very little hours these days because literally we do not stop all day we decided to come back to the hotel soon.
Tomorrow I will tell you my second day in NYFW.

Antes que nada quiero comenzar hoy dándoos las gracias por tantos mensajes públicos y privados de apoyo por estos dos días que he estado malita. ¡GRACIAS! Yo personalmente lo paso muy muy mal porque soy una persona muy activa (nada nuevo ¿no? haha) y no me gusta nada “perder” mi tiempo así, pero está claro también que a veces el cuerpo nos dice basta y pienso que debería frenar un poquito mi ritmo de trabajo…
Pero ¿qué le voy a hacer yo cuando tengo la suerte tan grande de trabajar en lo que más me gusta del mundo? Esto es algo muy complicado que no todos tienen el lujo de poder hacer, pero mucha más gente podría si nos arriesgásemos y luchásemos incansablemente por nuestros sueños. Os digo esto porque en España está mal visto y no se lleva eso de estudiar una carrera y trabajar luego en algo completamente diferente, pero en el resto del mundo sí sucede. Yo estudié economía si, por lo tanto tengo una carrera y creo que más o menos soy apta para realizar cualquier trabajo que se me explique, como os pasará a la mayoría de vosotros. Con 18 años muchas veces no sabemos bien qué queremos hacer, a mi me pasó, y al final haces lo que hacen tus amigos, o lo que hicieron tus padres o lo que hace la mayoría de la gente. Yo no me arrepiento porque sabéis que soy muy decidida y luchadora y al final he luchado por lo que realmente me hace feliz, ¡hacedlo vosotros también! Como me dijo mi padre cuando le conté que dejaba el mundo de los números y me metía en todo esto: “mira hija, se que eres una luchadora y trabajadora y que no te vas a quedar de brazos cruzados, así que tienes mi apoyo y haz algo que te guste porque es en lo que vas a trabajar el resto de tu vida”. ¡Qué sabio mi papi!
En conclusión: haced lo que os guste en la vida porque sólo tenemos una, y ¡hacedlo muy a menudo!

Good morning my friends!
First of all I want to begin today by thanking you all for your public and private messages of support for these two days that I’ve been sick. THANK YOU! I personally was very sad because I am a very active person (nothing new, right? ha ha) and I do not like to “waste” my time like this, from sofa to bed and so, but it is also true that sometimes the body says “it´s enough” and I think I should slow down my daily working rhythm a little bit…
But what can I do when I’m so luck to work in what I like most in my life? This is something very complicated to get that not everyone has the luxury to do, but many more people could do it if we risk and we fight and follow our dreams. I say this because in Spain we are used to work in something related to what we have studied, not to work in something completely different, but in the rest of the world it doesn’t happen like this. I studied economics you all know it, therefore I have a career and I think I am more or less qualify for any job that they explain to me, as it will happen to the most of you. With 18 years old we often do not know what we want to do in our lives, it happened to me, and in the end we do what our friends are doing, or what your parents did or what the most people do. I do not regret it because I like numbers and economy too and I’m very determined to do what I like. In the end I fought for what really makes me happy, you should do it too! As my father told me when I told him that I was leaving the world of numbers and I got into all this fashion world, “Look daughter, I know you’re a fighter and hardworking woman and that you will not waist your time, so you have my support and do something you really like because it is in what you are going to work the rest of your life. ” How wise my daddy!
So, do what you like in your life as we one live once, and do it often!

Noviembre. El pobre parece un mes que llega sin pena ni gloria, porque va después de Octubre donde ya nos hemos acostumbrado a nuestro ritmo de trabajo después de las vacaciones y llega justo antes de Diciembre donde esperamos las ansiadas Navidades…
Pero a mi me gusta Noviembre. Es un mes más si, pero yo intento disfrutar cada momento, cada día, cada semana, cada mes de mi vida… al máximo. No solía ser así antes. Y no hablo de hace años, sino de un pasado no muy lejano. Pero hace un tiempo ya que estoy trabajando internamente ciertas facetas de mi personalidad y de mi forma de ver la vida que creo que no eran las correctas.
Bien es cierto que muchas veces necesitamos el apoyo de quien más nos conoce para dar el paso, para arriesgar y pensar que vamos a ganar; o de gente que nos rodea y está con nosotros día a día (no necesariamente nuestros amigos de siempre) para abrir los ojos en algunos aspectos, y al final os digo que se abren.
Yo ahora os aseguro soy mucho más feliz e intento sacar la parte positiva a todo lo que me pasa. Es verdad que en el momento en que nos pasa algo “menos bueno” (porque las cosas verdaderamente malas, las tragedias, no nos pasan a nosotros, no olvidemos lo afortunados que somos), es difícil cambiar de mentalidad instantáneamente, pero es cuestión de practicarlo en serio. Al final son enseñanzas, cruces como hace poco decía mi cura en la homilía, que tenemos que afrontar y llevar lo mejor posible y que nos ayudan siempre a crecer y a hacernos más fuertes. Nada es tan malo como para que dejemos de querernos y de pensar en nosotros mismos porque ya sabéis que si no lo hacemos nosotros, ¿quien lo hará?
Es bonito el amor, pero personalmente no creo que sea para siempre. Nada es para siempre. Se puede ser muy feliz con pareja, pero también sin ella. Por eso desde que decidí vivir el momento, el día a día, sin preocuparme en qué pasará o dónde estaré mañana, soy mucho más feliz, y también vivo y duermo más tranquila. No es tarea fácil como os digo, pero ya sabéis que todo con esfuerzo y constancia se consigue. La vida es cuestión de actitud; podría decir que más de un 90% es cómo afrontamos nosotros los problemas.
Para terminar y cambiando de tercio os dejo mi look de comienzo de Noviembre con un estilo muy colegial: vestido negro básico con blucher con plataforma. El toque de los calcetines es también un detalle muy otoñal. Maxi cazadora vaquera por encima para romper con el total black.
Buen Lunes a todos, a los que estéis de puente y a los que para bien o para mal trabajéis como yo. En mi caso para bien porque me encanta mi trabajo.

November. This poor month seems to be a month that comes unnoticed, because it goes after October where we have already get used to our daily working routine after the holidays and it also comes just before December where we expect the awaited Christmas time with our families and beloved people…
But I like November. It is a ‘common’ month ok, but I try to enjoy every moment, every day, every week, every month in my life… the most. I didn’t use to be like this before. And I’m not talking about many years ago, but about my recent past. But from some months ago to nowadays I’m working internally in certain facets of my personality and my way of life that I think were not the correct ones.
It is true that often we need the support of our family to make a big change, to make that step, to risk and think that we will win; or the support of those around us in our day a day, true friends (not necessary from all our lives) that help us to open your eyes in some ways, and in the end I tell you that you will open them.
I can assure you that now I am so much happier and I try to take the positive side of everything that happens to me. It is true that when something “less good” happens (and I say between quotation marks because the really bad things, tragedies, do not happen to us, not forget how lucky we are), it’s hard to change your mind instantly, but seriously, it is a matter of practice. In the end life teaches us, gives us crosses as recently said my priest in his homily, that we have to face and bring the best part of it and that always will help us to grow up and become stronger. Nothing is so bad and nothing should make us stop loving ourselves and think about ourselves because you know that if we do not do it, who will?
Love is nice, I agree, but I personally do not think it is forever. Nothing is forever. You can be very happy with your couple, but also without it. So since I decided to live the moment, to enjoy my day a day, without worrying about what will happen or where I’ll be tomorrow, I am so much happier, and I live and sleep more peaceful. It is not easy as I say, but you know that everything with effort and perseverance is achieved. Life is a matter of attitude; I could say that almost a 90% is how we face our daily problems.
To finish the post and after this long reflection here you have my look to start November. It’s a very collegial style: basic black dress (LBD) with platform blucher also in black. The touch of the short socks is a very autumnal detail too. An oversize denim jacket over to break the total black mood.
Good Monday to everyone, to those of you that are enjoying your long weekend and to those which for better or worse have to work like me. In my case for good because I love my job.
¿Cómo ha ido vuestra noche de Halloween? ¿Algún muerto que merezca la pena destacar? hehehe.
Yo tuve una cena con amigos en otro de mis restaurantes favoritos de Madrid pero no salimos de fiesta porque ya venía yo arrastrando sueño de toda la semana y del viernes…
Y como más vale tarde que nunca aquí tenéis el vídeopost de los Domingos que por cierto es muy divertido y especial.
Hoy nos hemos levantado con ganas de ir a pasear por el Retiro aprovechando que hacía un buen día otoñal y además es una de las cosas que más me gusta hacer cuando tengo un ratito libre…
Por eso he cogido mi bici vintage que me encanta y hemos alquilado otra en Bici Madrid y nos hemos ido a dar una vuelta al parque. Hemos ido parando para hacer vídeos y por cierto, no es nada fácil eso de ir montando en bici a la vez que se graba… ¡tiene mucho mérito!
Ahora con este buen sabor de boca de finde completito y súper feliz me despido hasta mañana, ¡que yo si trabajo! A los que estéis de puente os deseo que lo disfrutéis mucho y a los que tengáis que trabajar como yo ¡ánimo y a por todas, como siempre!

I had a dinner with some friends in another of my favorite restaurants in Madrid but we didn’t went party on Saturday because I was already very tired for all the working week and for the Friday night…
And better late than never here you have Sunday’s videopost which is very fun and special for me, hope that you enjoy it as much as me.
Today we woke up wanting to go for a walk to the Retiro’s park taking advantage of the nice autumn day at the city and you know that this is one of the things I like to do when I have some free time…
So I took my vintage bike that I really love and we rented another one in Bici Madrid and we have gone to stroll around the park. We have been stopping to take videos and of course pics, but this is not easy to go riding a bike while recording … this really has so much merit!
Now with the good taste of a super happy and fully weekend I leave you until tomorrow, because yes, I have to work! For those of you that have taken this long weekend enjoy it so much and to those of you who have to work like me, let’s do this and go for it, as always!

Es uno de mis hashtags favoritos que se que la mayoría conoceréis por leerlo siempre en mis redes sociales.
Tengo manías si, como todos, y una de ellas es el trabajo bien hecho. Me gusta esforzarme al máximo en lo que hago cada día para poder estar tranquila y contenta con los resultados porque se que siempre he dado lo mejor de mí.
Este es mi look favorito de la semana y probablemente del mes. Un outfit para una ‘femme fatale‘ trabajadora que arrasa en su día a día, que va a por todas. Es serio por el negro estricto combinado simplemente con un jersey blanco de cashmere pero a la vez la falda y los tacones “suelas rojas” le dan ese toque sexy y rebelde al estilismo. A mi me encanta, poco más puedo decir de él. A veces hay que tomar riesgos para ganar y no os olvidéis de dar lo mejor de vosotros mismos cada día.
Y hoy me llega una sorpresita desde Milán… seguro que ya sabéis qué es hehe.

‘Work hard, play hard’, it says it all.
It is one of my favorite hashtags that I use almost every day on my social networks, I’m sure you have seen it.
I do admit it: I have some manias, like everyone else I guess. But one of them is a well done job. I like to do my best every day in what I do to be proud and happy with the results because I have always tried to give my best.
This is my favorite look of the week and probably of the month. An outfit for a ‘femme fatale’, worker who highlight every day, all in or nothing. It’s really just the strict black combined with a white cashmere sweater, but the skirt and “red soles” heels give that sexy and rebel touch to the styling. I can not add so much more to this. Remember to take risk in order to live and to win sometimes, and to do your best every day.
And tonight will arrive and amazing surprise directly from Milan… I’m pretty sure you know what I’m talking about hehe.
Después de miles y miles de peticiones aquí tenéis el vídeo-post de cómo me maquillo a diario.
Conseguí convencer a mi amiga y experta Anabel Gornés para que me ayudase a preparar un tutorial con los productos que yo utilizo cada día a la hora de maquillarme.
Como os explicamos en el vídeo paso a paso yo mezclo dos bases de maquillaje, luego las fijo con polvos, a continuación aplico una ligera sombra de ojos clarita, máscara de pestañas y barra de labios. Con estos simples pasos consigo un resultado muy natural cada día aunque a mi no me queda como le ha quedado a ella hehe.

After thousands and thousands of petitions here you have a new video-post about how I do my daily make up.
I convinced my friend and artist Anabel Gornés to help me to prepare a tutorial with the products I use every day when I makeup.
As we explain in the video step by step I use to mix two foundations, then I fix them with some powder, after this I apply a light eye shadow, mascara and lipstick. With these simple steps I get a very natural result every day although I do not get it as good as Anabel does, hehe.

¡Cómo me gusta el toque elegante que da siempre el terciopelo negro! Y cómo no, no podía faltar en nuestra lista de esenciales para el Otoño.
Que el negro es mi color favorito creo que es algo que todos sabéis y más después del vídeo que os colgué sobre mí el Domingo (que podéis ver los que aún no hayáis tenido tiempo AQUÍ), pero si encima añadimos el terciopelo negro ya se convierte en una pieza imprescindible para mi.
Y es que si os soy sincera me encanta este tejido para el invierno. Me recuerda a cuando era pequeña y mi madre nos llevaba a mi hermana y a mi con abriguitos de terciopelo de colores y vestidos con detalles también de terciopelo en los bordes. Yo tenía ya una blazer negra parecida de hace bastantes años y por eso ha sido el momento de renovarla por esta. En cuanto la vi en la tienda me la llevé en el acto. Los botones dorados además son un detalle que me hizo decidirme por ella aún más. Este Domingo para ir a comer con mi familia la combiné con un jersey finito de cashmere en blanco roto y unos jeans negros cortados. Escogí mis conocidas slippers neoyorquinas de gatitos en terciopelo negro a juego.
Pero esta no es la única prenda que tengo en este tejido. Ya me habéis visto hace poco en uno de los programas con un vestido de terciopelo negro. ¿Qué os parece a vosotros esta tendencia para la nueva temporada?

I really love the elegant touch that always gives to a look the black velvet! It was a fact that it would be in our mast haves list for the new season.
Black is my favorite color, I think that this is something we all know and more after the video I shared with you on Sunday (which you can see HERE just if you had no time to watch it before), but if we add the black velvet it becomes for sure a must have in my wardrobe.
To be honest I love this fabric for winter. It reminds me when I was a kid and my mother used to dress my little sister and me with little warm velvet coats in every color and beautiful dresses with velvet details on the edges. I already had a similar black blazer from many years ago and I thought that it was time to renew it for this new season From the first time I saw this one in the shop I absolutely liked it. The golden buttons are also a detail that made me decide to get it. I wore it this Sunday for lunch with my family and I combined it with a thin cashmere sweater in off-white color and some black ripped jeans. I chose my New Yorkers kitty flats in black velvet matching the blazer.
