Off Duty Sunday

Ya sabéis que una de las cosas que más me gusta hacer los fines de semana (que es el único momento en que consigo sacar algo de tiempo libre) es pasear por el Retiro aprovechando los días soleados que disfrutamos en la capital.

En esta ocasión quería ir cómoda y con pantalones anchos, no ajustados. Por eso opté por estos vaqueros de cuello alto que me parecen muy modernos a la vez que estilosos. Llevo mis zapatillas Stan Smith en blancas y azules a juego con la camisa de cuadros en los mismos tonos. Encima llevo una chaqueta azul marino que ya me habéis visto en alguna ocasión y que compré en el mercadillo de Camden Town de Londres, de ahí su estilo british.

Me voy corriendo a un nuevo shooting para una firma de bolsos que os mostraré la semana que viene.

You know that one of the things that I like most to do on weekends (which is the only time that I have some ‘free’ time for myself) is to walk through the Retiro’s Park and even more enjoying these sunny days in the capital of Spain.

This time I wanted to dress up comfortably and with baggy pants, not so slim. So I chose this high waisted jeans that are very modern and trendy at the same time. I opted for my Stan Smith sneakers in white and blue matching with the checkered shirt in the same colors. On top I was wearing a navy blue jacket that you have already seen me on other posts and I bought at Camden Town Market in London, reason of the British style.

I’m going right now to a new shooting for a handbag brand that I will show you next week.

Snowing in Central Park

Último día de la semana laborable y último post de mi semana en Nueva York… ooooh!

Este es uno de los días que mejor me lo pasé y no por el frío que hacía (que te congelaba hasta las ideas) sino porque en Madrid no ha nevado así nunca y me hizo mucha ilusión ver tanta nieve por las calles y sobre todo por Central Park.

Estas fotos fueron tomadas a la entrada del Museo Americano de Historia de ahí que haya tantos autobuses escolares en las calles. Como veis allí son todos amarillos aunque sean de distintas compañías.

Otro día más voy bastante abrigada con gorro de pelo, jersey gris de cuello vuelto y lana, abrigo largo negro, pantalones de cuero con cremalleras y mis nuevas zapatillas con plataforma que ya me habéis visto.

Os deseo a todos un feliz viernes y fin de semana y estad preparados para la semana que viene porque ¡tengo muchas sorpresas para vosotros!

Last working day of the week and last post of my last trip to New York …ooooh!

This is one of the days that I had a real funny time and not by how cold it was (we were completely frozen, even our ideas hehe) but because in Madrid has not snowed so hard ever so I was thrilled to see so much snow on the streets and especially in Central Park.

These photos were taken at the entrance of the American Museum of Natural History where there wer so many school buses on the streets. As you can see there are all in yellow color although they are from different companies.

I decided once again to wear warm clothes to fight the cold weather so I was wearing a warm fur hat, a soft gray turtleneck wool jersey, my long black coat, leather pants with zippers and my new sneakers with platform that you have already seen me.

Neoprene rules

Ya sabemos que el tejido de neopreno ha sido una de las tendencias más innovadoras en el mundo de la moda de los últimos años introduciéndose en todo tipo de complementos y de ropa pero, ¿por qué nos gusta tanto?

A mi personalmente me gusta por varios motivos. La verdad es que al vivir sola te das cuenta de lo bien que se vive en casa de tus padres donde generalmente tienes a alguien que te ayude con las tareas domésticas como cocinar o planchar. Pues lo que me gusta de este tejido es que no es necesario plancharlo porque ¡no se arruga! También es suave al tacto y muy moldeable, por eso me encantan las ondas que hace esta falda aparte de ser unas prendas muy cómodas. Por último me gusta que se haya trasladado a infinidad de prints diferentes y yo hoy he escogido este de flores en tonos blancos, lilas y azules para conseguir un look muy moderno y deportivo con el toque de las zapatillas. Encima llevo un abrigo blanco con capucha muy abrigadito y opté por volver a dar color al estilismo con un bolso en lila también. Como accesorios escogí mis brazaletes con frases muy positivas y motivadoras en los colores del conjunto de sudadera y falda.

We all know that the neoprene fabric has been one of the most innovative trends in the fashion world in the few last years. It has been introduced in all kinds of accessories and clothing but, why do we like it so much?

I personally like it for many reasons, here some of them. The truth is that when you live alone you realize how well you were living at your parents’ house where usually you have someone to help you with chores like cooking or ironing. So what I like about this neoprene fabric is that it is not necessary to iron because it hasn’t wrinkles! It is also soft to the touch and very malleable, so I love these waves of the skirt besides it is a very comfortable clothing. Finally I like that it neoprene has been created in infinity of different prints and today I picked this floral one in white, lilac and blue colors for a very modern and sporty look with the touch of the sneakers. On top I’m wearing a white coat with hood very warm for this weather and I chose a bag in lilac too to give color to the outfit. Once again I picked my bracelets as accessories with positive and motivational sentences matching the colors with the complete look.

Start-Stop

Desde el momento en el que vi estas zapatillas en un shooting que tuve el lunes la verdad es que me enamoré de ellas. Y cual fue mi sorpresa cuando pude ir a buscarlas y vi que las había en blancas pero también en plateadas… Como tengo varias sneakers en blanco así que me arriesgué y me decidí por las plateadas, ¿qué os parecen a vosotros?

Ya sabéis que soy muy fan de los mensajes en la ropa ya sea en chaquetas, camisetas, bolsos… y por supuesto también en el calzado. Creo que hoy tiene una enseñanza clara: “Start” empezar de nuevo y “Stop” parar. Dado el ritmo de vida que llevamos creo que muchas veces no olvidamos de parar, recapacitar y recapitular lo que hemos hecho hasta ahora y hacia dónde queremos ir, y luego ya volver a empezar nuestro camino basándonos en esas conclusiones. Y yo pienso que ¡qué mejor que verlo en mis propios pies que son los que me llevan a todas partes!

Quise combinar estas zapatillas con los mismos colores por eso opté por unos leggings de cuero negros, una camiseta de rayas, y mi abrigo largo negro con detalles en cuero. También sabéis que soy fan de los sombreros y más en estas época así que hoy llevo uno negro y azul marino y un bolso bandolera también negro.

From the first moment that I saw these sneakers in a shooting that I had on Monday the truth is that I fell in love automatically. And what surprised me more was when I could go to the store and I saw this model in white but also in silver… As I have many white sneakers I decided to risk a little bit more and bet for the silver ones, do you like them?

You know I am a super fan of clear messages on clothing either in jackets, shirts, bags… and of course in footwear. I think that today we have a clear instruction: “Start” to start from the beginning and “Stop” to sometimes stop in life. As we live in a world continuously moving I think that we don’t have time often to stop, reflect and recap what we have done so far and where we really want to go, and then start again our way based on these thoughts. So what’s better than to see it on your own feet which take you everywhere!

I wanted to combine these shoes with the same colors so I opted for a black leather leggings, a striped shirt and my black long coat with leather accents. You also know that I’m a hats lover and more in these winter days so today I took one in black and navy blue and I was wearing also a black shoulder bag.

Let’s start a new day with full battery and energy, a lot of kisses!

Comfy for the weekend

¡Buenos días!

Termino la semana con un outfit muy deportivo y casual para el fin de semana… porque los findes es cuando nos bajamos de las alturas (de los taconazos), colgamos el traje y cerramos los ordenadores y nos toca disfrutar un poquito de nuestro tiempo libre ¿no?

Llevo una trenca verde militar con capucha que desde luego creo que ha sido una de las prendas top de la temporada. Debajo una chaqueta de lana beige y una camiseta de las que me gustan con mensaje: Vogue 09 Wintour, en honor a Anna Wintour que es la editora jefe de edición norteamericana de la revista Vogue. Escogí unos jeans rotos en las rodillas y mis zapatillas sin cordones doradas y blancas ir lo más cómoda posible.

Espero que todos disfrutéis de vuestro finde y recordad que nos vemos el domingo a las 22h en Telecinco.

Morning morning!

I end up the week with a very sporty and casual outfit for the weekend… because the weekends are when we get off our working heels, hang out our suits and close our computers to really enjoy a little bit our time free, right?

I’m wearing a military green trench coat with hood that I certainly think it has been one of the top items of this winter season. Under I’m wearing a beige wool jacket and a white t-shirt with message: Vogue 09 Wintour, in honor of Anna Wintour who actually is the editor in chief of the merican edition of Vogue Magazine. I chose some ripped jeans at the knees and my gold and white slip-on to go as comfortable as possible.

Friday mood!

¡¡VIERNESSS!!

Despido la semana con este look para otro día de trabajo pero más relajado, esta vez cambiando los tacones por mis adoradas sneakers. Llevo una blazer de cuadros que aunque no lo parezca es de lana gorda así que me abriga para ir de reunión en reunión en coche. Debajo llevo un jersey negro con pequeñas tachuelas plateadas. Opté por unos pantalones grises de vestir para dar el toque elegante y formal al estilismo y las sneakers dan el punto más deportivo y también moderno porque llevan cuero negro y estampado de serpiente. ¿Qué os parece esta propuesta?

Espero que disfrutéis de vuestro finde, yo tengo bastantes planes esta noche y mañana así que espero que también me sobre algún ratito para descansar y estar tranquila en casa, que a mi eso también me encanta.

TGIF!!

Last day of the working week and I show you this last look for another day of work but more relaxed, this time changing heels for my beloved sneakers. I’m wearing a checkered blazer crop style, it’s wool made so it’s perfect for the cold to go by car from meeting to meeting. I also was wearing a black jersey with small silver studs. I opted for a gray suit pants to give the elegant and formal styling touch and my sneakers gave the sportiest point and modern because they have black and snake print leather. What do you think about this proposal for a working day, working girl?

Hope you all enjoy your weekend. I have many night plans tonight and tomorrow… hope to have also some time to myself and to rest at home because I really need and enjoy those moments too…

Hello November!

¡Bienvenido, Noviembre!

Día 4 de Noviembre y parece que ya llegan las verdaderas temperaturas otoñales en toda la Península y por supuesto también en Madrid. ¡Qué cambio tan brusco pasar de estar en camiseta y pantalón corto en el Norte de España a sacar jerseys y abrigos en Madrid!

Desde que os enseñé estas zapatillas que he diseñado yo misma desde cero y que llevan mi nombre en las lengüetas (it girl marta) he pensado varios looks para combinarlas y la final este ha resultado el primer ganador. Para día de frío siempre solemos tender a colores oscuros y neutros. Por eso he optado por un jersey de cuello vuelto gris (que siempre estoy con la garganta delicada) y unos jeans en gris oscuro como prendas básicas y simples para resaltar el colorido de las zapatillas. El toque más elegante viene de la mano de mi nuevo abrigo negro con doble botonadura que espero que os guste porque me lo vais a ver mucho. Es de la firma Nouvelle Epoque donde siempre encuentro prendas exclusivas que no hay en otras tiendas y además al mejor precio. Tampoco es necesario sacar todavía abrigos gordos y botas de pelo, por lo que estos abrigos de estilo chaqueta y las gabardinas me parecen una buena alternativa para comenzar el otoño. Un maxi bolso y un sombrero fueron mis únicos complementos.

Welcome November!

November, 4th, and it seems that autumn temperatures are already here in Spain and of course in Madrid. What a quick change to go from being in shirt and shorts in the North of Spain and now wearing sweaters and coats in Madrid!

Since I received these colorful sneakers that I designed by myself from scratch and they have my name in tongues (it girl marta) I have thought in many looks to combine them and this was the final result for the first winner look. For cold days I usually tend to choose dark and neutral colors. So I opted for a gray turtleneck (I have always delicate throat) and dark gray jeans as basic and simple clothes to highlight the colorful sneakers. The most elegant touch comes from the hand of my new black coat with double breasted that I hope you like it as much as me because I’m going to wear it so much. It is form Nouvelle Epoque where I always find unique items that are not in other stores and also at the best price. I don’t really want to wear coats and wool oversize sweaters every day so these style jacket coats and trench seems to be a good choice to start the fall. A maxi bag and a hat were my only accessories.

Toledo, Spain

Otra cosa no pero en España tenemos mil ciudades y pueblos de estilo medieval que merece la pena visitar en cada Comunidad Autónoma. El fin de semana pasado estuve en Toledo como ya visteis en mis redes sociales.

Si tenéis la ocasión de ir no dejéis de visitar el Parador, el Castillo Medieval, el museo de El Greco, la Catedral y por supuesto comer un buen corderito o cochinillo en Casa Aurelio.

La verdad es que tuvimos mucha suerte con el tiempo porque nos hizo una temperatura perfecta para estar ya en Octubre. Yo escogí unos cómodos jeans oscuros, mis zapatillas NB azul marino, grises y blancas y una camiseta azul marino con mensaje como ya sabéis que me gustan. El sombrero me sirvió para protegerme un poco del sol tan fuerte de las horas del mediodía.

Me voy corriendo a ultimar los preparativos de mi evento de esta tarde. ¡Que tengáis un buen día!

Here in Spain we have a thousand cities and towns in medieval style that are worth visiting in each region. The last weekend I was in Toledo as you already saw on my social networks.

If you have the chance to go to visit this beautiful city don’t forget to visit the Parador, the Medieval Castle, El Greco Museum, the Cathedral and of course eat a good lamb or suckling pig at Casa Aurelio.

The truth is that we were very lucky with the weather because we had a perfect temperature to be already in October. I chose a comfortable dark jeans, my sneakers in navy blue, gray and white and a navy blue shirt with a message as you know I like it. The hat helped me to protect myself of the hot sun of midday.

¡Buenos días!

Como mucho veríais anoche en mis redes sociales estuve en el estreno de la nueva película de Megan Montaner y Hugo Silva “Dioses y Perros” y os puedo asegurar que no me defraudó, os recomiendo ir a verla al cine porque ambos han logrado una película muy buena que te mantiene expectante los 85 minutos que dura. Pero sin duda lo que más me gusta es que te hace pensar, darte cuenta de lo que realmente importa en la vida y además valorar lo que tienes porque siempre hay alguien que está peor que tu.

Bueno, y pasando a analizar el look de hoy ya sabéis que hay días que me gusta ir más “moderna”. Esta falda plisada de cuero ya la he combinado con varias opciones pero creo que todavía no había publicado ninguna aquí. Como estos días hay momentos de más frío y de pronto sale un sol radiante escogí una camisa vaquera medita por dentro y un jersey gris atado en la cintura. Mis sneakers Stan Smith que me las pongo indistintamente con faldas, vaqueros, shorts e incluso vestidos por lo cómodas que son además de estar en plena tendencia. Como complementos un bolso negro, unas gafas de sol XL, mi reloj dorado con detalles en azul celeste y un colgante con la M de Marta.

¡Vamos a por la mitad de la semana con energía positiva!

Morning people!

Some of you would see last night on my social networks that I attended the premiere of the new movie of Megan Montaner and Hugo Silva “Gods and Dogs” and I can assure you I was not disappointed, I recommend you to go to see this film because they make you to be expectant all the 85 minutes and furthermore they play really good roles. But certainly what I liked most is that it makes you think, realize what really matters in life and also appreciate what you have because there is always someone worse than you.

Well, going to analyze today’s look you know that there are days that I like to go more “modern”. This pleated leather skirt is one of my must for this season and I’ve already combined it with other options but I had not yet posted any here. Because of the weather of these days (there are times cooler and suddenly the sun shines more than ever) I chose a denim shirt with gold studs and a gray sweater tied around the waist. My Stan Smith sneakers that I wear almost every day with skirts, jeans, shorts and even dresses because they are so comfortable and they are sooo trendy. As complements a black shoulder bag, my XL sunniess, my gold watch with light blue details and a necklace with “M” from Marta.

¡Buenos días a todos!

Tenía tantas ganas de enseñaros mi nueva bici que me tiene completamente enamorada que no he podido esperar hasta mañana. La he recibido esta semana pero no fue hasta el viernes por la tarde cuando pude sacar un hueco y bajar al Retiro a estrenarla, ¡me encanta! ¿y a vosotros?

He escogido personalmente los colores (color crema con asiento de cuero marrón oscuro) porque creo que son los que más combinan con mi estilo. Casualmente es la misma bici y el mismo diseño que Olivia Palermo saca este mes en la portada de la revista Traveler, y eso me gusta aún más porque sabéis que me encanta su estilo y clase. He añadido algunos detalles a la bici como la cesta de mimbre delantera para poder llevar el bolso o lo que necesite y las luz delantera y trasera para alumbrar el camino por las noches.

Para un paseo en bici escogí unos pantalones verdes con bolsillos estilo militar, con una camiseta blanca básica y una gabardina verde oscuro por encima. Mis sneakers doradas eran el calzado más apropiado para este paseo. Como accesorios llevo mis colgantes de monedas antiguas que me compré este verano en mi viaje a Cuba, un cinturón con estampado de serpiente y mi nuevo reloj de metal dorado con detalles en azul pastel.

Para terminar este post quiero mandar desde aquí un beso a mi súper seguidor Marcos que me vio en el Retiro y se acercó corriendo a saludarme, ¡me alegro mucho de haberte conocido por fin en persona! Y a un grupo de chicas jóvenes que se acercaron también. No me dijisteis vuestros nombres pero mil gracias por acercaros a saludarme y por seguir mi blog, ¡estas cosas me hacen muy muy feliz!

Morning people!

I was so excited to finally show you my new bike which I absolutely love that I could not wait until tomorrow. I’ve received it this week but it wasn’t until Friday afternoon when I was able to take a ride on it and I go to Retiro’s park to release it, I absolutely love it! Don’t you?

I have personally chosen the colors (cream color with dark brown leather seat) because I think they match with my style, very classy. Casually is the same bike and the same design and colors that Olivia Palermo shows this month on the cover of the Traveler magazine, so I like it even more because you know that I love her style and class. I added some details to the bike such as a front wicker basket to carry the bag or whatever I need and the front and rear light to light the way at night.

For a bike ride I chose a green military style pants with pockets, with a basic white shirt and a dark green trench coat above. My golden sneakers were the most appropriate footwear for this walk. As accessories I was wearing my old coins that I bought this summer on my trip to Cuba, a snake print belt and my new golden metal watch with soft blue details.

To end this post I want to send from here a big kiss to my super follower Marcos that saw me this day and came running to greet me, I’m very glad to have met you in person finally! And a group of young girls also approached. You didn’t tell me your names but thanks for get close to meet me and thank you so much for like and follow my blog, these things make me very very happy, you guys really made my day!
