¡Con gorritos y a lo loco!

Esta es la impresión que tengo este invierno sobre los ya míticos gorros de lana de toda la vida que vuelven renovados en mil diseños y colores… una vez más he vuelto a escoger uno en mi color favorito para esta temporada: burdeos.

Y cómo me gusta el sonido de las hojas secas bajo los pies… creo que es algo que me viene desde pequeña cuando mi madre nos llevaba al parque a mi hermana y a mi con vestidos de princesita y mi hermana, mucho más “modosita” me yo me veía hacer el gamberro y tirarme por los suelos sin parar… qué recuerdos tan bonitos. Por eso creo que ha quedado innato para siempre en mi una parte de esa niña alocada que iba de un lado a otro sin parar y siempre con una sonrisa dibujada en la cara (esto realmente me recuerda a mi día a día he he).

En fin, vamos a lo nuestro. Como desde mi punto de vista estos ‘beanies‘ son muy modernos quise buscar un look acorde con ello. Llevo un jersey tipo crop con estampado étnico en negro y burdeos muy suavecito por cierto, unos shorts de cuero negros que siempre dan el toque roquero, medias negras con dibujos, y el punto más ‘animal‘ lo conseguí con este calentito abrigo de leopardo marrón. Como complementos un bolso bandolera también en burdeos, mis gafas de sol ‘so real’ y unos botines de tacón medio para caminar todo el día sin cansarme.

Going crazy with beanies!

This is the impression I have this winter about the already famed wool hats (or beanies) which have returned renewed in thousands of designs and colors… once again I have chosen one in my favorite color for this season: burgundy.

How much I love the sound of dry leaves under my feet… I think it’s something that comes from my childhood when my mother used to take us to the park (my little sister and me) all dressed up like princess and my sister, more shy than me, saw me doing the thug and throw me on the floor without stopping… what beautiful memories. So I think it has been something innate in me forever, I will always be that crazy girl who went from one side to another without stopping and always with a big smile on his face (this really reminds me of my day a day he he).

Anyway, let’s talk about what I’m wearing. From my point of view these ‘beanies’ are very modern so I wanted to find a modern look to combine mine. I’m wearing a crop style sweater with ethnic print in black and burgundy very softly indeed, a black leather shorts that always give the rocker touch, black stockings, and I get the ‘animal’ touch with this warm brown leopard coat. As complements I chose a shoulder bag in burgundy, my ‘so real’ sunnies and a medium heel booties to walk all day without getting tired.

Riding my bike!

Cómo me gusta que aunque estemos en pleno invierno siga habiendo estos días de solazo para poder salir a montar en mi nueva bici por el Retiro… realmente consigo desconectar y me ayuda a relajarme y coger fuerzas para seguir con mi rutina diaria, ¡me encanta!

Esta vez como no hacía mucho frío escogí un look muy sencillo y cómodo con prendas que todos tenemos en nuestro armario: camiseta blanca básica, camisa vaquera y chaqueta extra larga de lana en color beige por encima. Abajo unos pantalones encerados negros y mis slip on sneakers doradas. Ya es de sobra conocida mis pasión por los sombreros y siempre que el día acompaña escojo uno que combine con mi outfit. Lo bueno de tener una bici tan bonita como esta (lo siento pero a mi me encanta haha) es que además lleva una pequeña cesta de mimbre delante donde suelo llevar mi bolso, un pañuelo y alguna cosa más que necesite para mis paseos.

Espero que os guste mi propuesta casual de hoy.

You just can’t imagine how much I like that even though we are in winter time there are still days like this, super sunny days when I can go the Retiro’s park to ride my new bike… It really helps me to disconnect and relax and it gives me energy to continue with my daily routine.

This time as it was not very cold I chose a very simple and comfortable look with clothes that we all have in our closet: a basic white shirt, a denim shirt and a maxi wool jacket in beige color above. I was wearing some black pants and my new golden slip on sneakers. It is well known my passion for hats and whenever the weather allows me to wear them I do it like today. I always choose one that matches my outfit. As I have a nice and beautiful bike (sorry but I really love it haha) it also has a small wicker basket in front where I usually carry my bag, a scarf and anything else I need for my rides.

My SkinCeuticals Diary: treatment

¡Buenos días!

Estoy segura de que estabais esperando saber cómo he continuado mi tratamiento con SkinCeuticals… pues os lo cuento todo en el post y vídeo de hoy.

Sabéis que las sesiones de láser se realizando cada 3 o 4 semanas dependiendo de la intensidad del mismo y del tipo de piel.

A mi me tocó volver la semana pasada para mi segunda sesión con el láser Emerge que ha sido incluso mejor que la primera porque los resultados cada vez son más notables. Mi piel es más sedosa y suave cada día y las imperfecciones parecen ir desapareciendo a medida que avanzan los días. Además he encontrado el tratamiento que mejor le conviene a mi tipo de piel gracias a la línea específica para piel grasa de SkinCeuticals, ¡estoy encantada!

Evidentemente lo más importante para el cuidado de la piel y especialmente la del rostro es limpiarla y aplicar un tónico tanto por las mañanas como por las noches. A continuación hay que aplicar un serum o corrector y una crema hidratante para mantener la piel hidratada y antes del maquillaje utilizar un protector solar. Incluso en invierno esto es necesario porque el sol sigue siendo fuerte y los rayos también perjudiciales.

Lo bueno de SkinCeuticals es que hay tratamientos y productos igual de especializados para cada uno de vuestros problemas cutáneos y tipos de piel, así que no esperéis más a informaros sobre ellos.

Morning people!

I’m sure you were waiting for this new Diary post to know how I have continued my treatment with SkinCeuticals… so here I tell you everything in today’s post and video.

You know that laser sessions are performing every 3 or 4 weeks depending on its intensity and your skin identity.

I come back to Dr. Lajo last week for my second session with the Emerge laser that was even better than the first because the results are increasingly noticeable. My skin is more silky and smoothy every day and imperfections seem to disappear day after day. Also finally I’ve found a treatment that is the best for my skin type thanks to the specific line for oily skin from SkinCeuticals, I’m thrilled!

Obviously the most important steps for the skin care and especially for the face is to clean it and apply a tonic both in the mornings and nights. Next step is to apply a serum or concealer and moisturizer to keep hydrated the skin before makeup and use a sunscreen with high protection. Even in winter this is very necessary because the sun is still strong and also harmful.

The good thing about SkinCeuticals is that there are also treatment and specialized products for each of your skin problems and skin types, so do not wait more to check them out!

Gray over black

¡Buenos días!

Lunes soleado en Madrid para recibir al último mes del año… ¡cómo pasa el tiempo! A mi este año se me ha pasado volando…

Hoy os propongo un look muy moderno y a la vez cómodo para estos días en los que las “altas” temperaturas invernales nos permiten salir a la calle menos abrigados de lo normal. Llevo un jersey de cuello vuelto gris que me encanta por su tacto de cashmere (aunque luego es un poco royo la pelusa que deja en la ropa…) y lo he combinado con una falda de estilo lencero negra dejando ver sólo el borde de encaje. EL toque moderno lo conseguí con unos calcetines grises también de lana y mis botas negras de cordones. Un maxi bolso y unos anillos plateados fueron mis accesorios para completar el outfit. Y por supuesto algo de color en los labios que no falte para alegrar estos días de fiesta.

Morning world!

Sunny Monday in Madrid to receive the last month of the year… time flies! To me this year really has gone so quickly… thought that’s a good point.

Today I propose you a very modern but comfy look for these days when the “high” winter temperatures allow us to go out less warm than usual. I’m wearing a gray turtleneck sweater that I love for its cashmere touch (but then is a bit bad because it leaves lint on clothes…) and I have combined it with a black lingerie style skirt showing only the lace edge. The modern touch I got it with a gray wool socks and my black lace-up boots. A maxi bag and some thin silver rings were my accessories to complete the outfit. And of course some color on the lips matching the colors of this Xmas time!

Olivia would wear it!

Un viernes más de mi vida termina como siempre: de reunión en reunión hasta bien entrada la tarde.

Así que hoy os vuelvo a enseñar otra de mis opciones para un día de trabajo. Ya he sacado varias de mis botas favoritas del armario como es el caso de estas negras con detalles y hebilla plateados. Llevo unos jeans ajustados grises con una camiseta también gris con la frase “Olivia would wear it“. Ya sabéis que me encantan las camisetas con mensaje, ¿vosotros pensáis que de verdad Olivia llevaría este look? hehehe. Encima llevo una de mis chaquetas favoritas para este invierno con estampado de príncipe de gales y bordes en negro. Mis gafas negras, un reloj estilo vintage y un maxi bolso negro fueron mis complementos.

Espero que paséis buen viernes y finde y estad atentos a mis redes sociales porque mañana tengo un viaje muy bonito a Castilla La Mancha que os iré contando con detalles! (@itgirlmarta).

One more Friday in my life that ends like always: from meeting to meeting until late afternoon.

So today I show you again another of my options for my day a day. I’ve rescue from my closet my favorite black booties with silver buckle and details. I was wearing a pair of gray skinny jeans with a gray shirt also with “Olivia would wear it” sentence. You know that I love shirts with message, do you really think that Olivia would wear this look? hehehe. On top I chose one of my favorite jackets for this winter with prince of wales print and black borders. My black glasses, a vintage style watch and a black maxi bag were my accessories.

Tile color rocks it

No es rojo valentino… no es marrón… tampoco naranja… se le conoce como color teja y va cogiendo protagonismo a medida que avanza la temporada.

Yo no he podido resistirme más a enseñaros esta blazer en este color que he diseñado yo misma, ¿qué os parece a vosotros? Ya sabéis que yo soy muy simple y que tiendo más al estilo clásico, de ahí el corte amplio y largo y la doble botonadura pero he querido añadir un toque más moderno y roquero con las cadenas que lleva en las hombreras. Como acabo de mencionar sabéis que para mi día a día me gusta vestir con colores sencillos y sin mucho estampado, por eso combiné la chaqueta con una camiseta negra y unos jeans negros cortados. Como calzado escogí unas slip-on sneakers doradas a juego con complementos dorados: cinturón con letras doradas, collar de varias vueltas, bolso negro y maxi gafas de sol.

It’s not valentino red… it’s not brown… either orange… it is tile color and it is becoming more trendy as the season goes forward.

I couldn’t resist anymore to show you this blazer in this color who I have personally designed for me, what do you think about it? You know that I am a very simple woman and I tend more to the classic style, because of that the wide and long cut and double breasted but I also wanted to add a more modern and rocker touch with those golden chains on the shoulders. As I have just mentioned before you know that for my day a day I like to dress up with simple colors without much print, so I combined this jacket with a black t-shirt and black ripped jeans. All the complements were in gold too: a belt with golden letters, some necklaces, a black shoulder bag and my XL sunnies. All matching my gold slip-on sneakers.

Save the date: satin floral dress

Ya que se van acercando las Navidades y es época de reencuentros, visitas de los que están fuera, comidas y cenas copiosas y por supuesto también de fiestas, os voy a ir enseñando algunas de mis opciones para vestir bien en estas ocasiones especiales.

Como ya habréis visto en mis redes sociales este vestido de raso con estampado floral es el que me puse para el evento de presentación de la nueva colección de una conocida joyería española. Me encantó desde que lo vi por su diseño: falda de largo por encima de la rodilla, no muy corto para eventos arreglados, manga larga y cerrado al cuello pero con un bonito y desde mi punto de vista sexy escote de espalda. Al llevar flores en colores pastel lo combiné con mis sandalias con tachuelas negras con bordes en color nude. Escogí un clutch pequeño dorado en forma cuadrada que lo llevo con una pequeña cadena enganchado a la muñeca. Una vez más suelo maquillarme y peinarme yo misma porque al final es la forma en la que mejor me veo.

¿Qué os parece esta propuesta para una ocasión más especial de esas que abundan por estas fechas?

As Christmas time is coming now is time of familiar meetings, visits from those who live outside, heavy meals and dinners and of course party time, so I’m going to show you during these coming weeks some of my fav options to dress well on these special occasions.

As you have already seen last week on my social networks I was wearing this satin dress with floral print to the launch event of the new collection of a famous Spanish jewelry. I loved it since the first time I saw it: long skirt above the knee, not too short for events like these, long sleeves and closed at the neck but with a nice and from my point of view very sexy neckline back. As the flowers are in pastel colors I combined it with my sandals with black studs and nude and black colors. I chose a small golden clutch square style with a small chain around my wrist. Once again I makeup and did my hair myself because in the end it is the way I feel more pretty and comfortable.

What do you think about this proposal for a especial date that we usually have in this time of the year?

My denim dress!

¿Qué puede haber mejor que comprarte ropa que te guste? ¡Que además te la personalicen!

Está muy de moda lo de llevar complementos y accesorios personalizados (como joyas, bolsos…) pero cuando fui a una de las tiendas más conocidas de denim me enamoré de este vestido vaquero y me enteré que también te lo personalizaban a gusto… ¡qué divertido! Y como no podía ser de otra manera escogí mi logo “it-girl by Marta Carriedo” para insertarlo en la manga. Te lo hacen en el acto, es algo realmente novedoso y original.

Estas fotos vuelven a ser en Bilbao este fin de semana donde como veis el tiempo nos acompañó los dos días y pudimos pasear por uno de sus parques más conocidos: el Parque de Doña Casilda más comúnmente conocido como Parque de los Patos. ¿Habéis estado vosotros?

Como ya os he comentado en más de una ocasión no me gusta mucho lo de llevar medias en invierno… y en color transparente menos, creo que nunca las he llevado. Por eso aprovecho estas temperaturas para poder seguir llevando vestidos sin medias aunque se me vean mis piernas blanquecinas hehe. Escogí complementos en burdeos para combinarlos con el vestido vaquero: chaqueta de lana estilo oversize, sombrero con plumas y botines de piel. De nuevo opté por el bolso en color crema que me llevé para el fin de semana y mis gafas negras son montura en la nariz.

What can be better than buying clothes that you like? That they personalize them just for you!

It is very fashionable to wear custom accessories and complements (such as jewelry, bags…) but when I went to one of the most famous denim stores in Madrid and I fell in love with this denim dress I couldn’t believe that they would personalize it for me, amazing! And as you can imagine I chose my logo “it-girl by Marta Carriedo” to insert it into the sleeve of the dress. I think that this is an original and funny way to customize our clothes.

These pictures were taken again in Bilbao this weekend where as you can see the weather was perfect both days and we could stroll around through one of its most popular parks: Doña Casilda’s Park or more commonly known as Parque de los Patos. Have you been there?

As I have said on more than one occasion I did not like what to wear tights in winter… and I especially hate them in transparent color, I think I’ven ever worn them. So I take advantage of these high temperatures to continue wearing dresses with socks although you can see my whitish legs hehe. I chose to combine the denim dress with complements in burgundy: oversize style wool jacket, my hat with feathers and my comfy booties. Again I opted for my shoulder bag in cream that I carried with me for the weekend and my new black sunnies.

Back in Bilbao for the weekend

¡Buenos días!

Como seguramente muchos de vosotros habréis visto en mis redes sociales este fin de semana he vuelto a subir a tierras vascas a seguir disfrutando de sus asombrosos paisajes, de su exquisita gastronomía y por supuesto de su maravillosa gente.

Esta vez el recorrido fue bastante largo y bonito porque una vez más el tiempo nos ha vuelto a acompañar. Las temperaturas no han bajado de los 20 grados por el día, ¡increíble! Por eso aprovechamos para subir al Monte Artxanda en el divertido funicular. ¡Menudas vistas desde ahí arriba de todo Bilbao! Si no habéis subido aún os lo recomiendo. Después bajamos y fuimos caminando una vez más por la Ría donde volví a sorprenderme con la elegante arquitectura de sus edificios y el color rojizo de las hojas que caen en otoño. Terminamos en la Plaza Nueva comiendo al solecito en una terracita donde me encontré con alguna de vosotras, ¡qué bonito encontrarme con vosotros allá donde vaya!

Como os podéis imaginar escogí un look muy cómodo para poder caminar todo el día: una chaqueta étnica de lana, un jersey de canalé blanco debajo, unos jeans burdeos con cortes en las rodillas, mis nuevas slip on sneakers doradas que son comodísimas por cierto y mi nuevo bolso en color crema que al no tener antes ninguno en este color estoy segura de que me lo vais a ver mucho. Como siempre y más en estos días soleados escogí unas gafas de sol, esta vez el modelo ‘so real‘.

Morning world!

I’m pretty sure that many of you have seen on my social networks that this weekend I have came back to Basque lands to continue enjoying its stunning landscape, exquisite cuisine and of course its wonderful people.

This time the stroll was quite long and nice because once again the weather was perfect, the sun shines almost every day. Temperatures have not dropped below 20 degrees during the day, amazing! So we take the opportunity to climb to Artxanda Mount in the funny funicular. What a view from up there of Bilbao! If you have not yet come up I recommend you to do it. After we got off and walked again by the river side where I was again surprised with the elegant architecture of its buildings and the reddish color of the falling leaves in autumn. We ended up at Plaza Nueva eating at the sun on a terrace where I met some of you, how nice is to meet you wherever I go!

As you can imagine I chose a very comfortable look to walk all day: an ethnic wool jacket, a white ribbed sweater white below, a burgundy ripped jeans, my new gold slip on sneakers that are very comfy so I’m going to wear them a lot and my new bag in cream color (I haven’t one in this color so I’m sure I’m going to wear it many days). As always when is a sunny day I chose a pair of sunglasses, this time ‘so real’ model in black.

Royal Palace of Aranjuez

¡Buenos días!

Una de las cosas que más me gusta hacer cuando llega el fin de semana es escaparme de Madrid por unas horas e ir a “redescubrir” lugares típicos y con encanto que tenemos cerca de la capital.

El fin de semana pasado visteis que estuve en el Palacio Real de Aranjuez. Desde luego es una excursión obligatoria porque el Palacio por dentro es precioso y se visitan más de 30 salas diferentes por sólo 9€. Es muy impactante el contraste de colores de terciopelo en las cortinas y paredes de las habitaciones (verde, rojo y dorado que son colores muy típicos de la realeza) con salas de estilo mozárabe (“salas de fumar”) o salas adornadas enteras con esculturas de porcelana, ¡incluso las paredes! Sus majestuosas escaleras centrales con barandillas doradas, los carruajes y equipajes que utilizaban antaño… y por supuesto los trajes de novia que lucieron en sus respectivas bodas la que fuese reina, Sofía, y la actual reina de nuestro país, Letizia.

No es menos asombroso el paseo por los jardines siguiendo el camino del río hasta llegar a las falúas reales (los barcos en los que reyes, príncipes y princesas y, en general la clase alta salían a pasear los días que el tiempo lo permitía). Todas ellas fabricadas en madera pero cuidando hasta el último detalle: escudos identificativos, ángeles, sirenas, … se mezclaban de nuevo con terciopelos y borlas de hilo dorado.

Además en Aranjuez confluyen dos importantes ríos: el Tajo y el Jarama. Es precioso ver la vegetación que surge a ambos lados de estos y se puede pasear y comer a orillas del río comida típica en restaurantes de toda la vida.

En esta ocasión escogí un look muy sencillo compuesto por unos vaqueros de cintura alta, una camiseta de rayas y un abrigo y botas negras. El sombrero sabéis que es un must para mi en este tipo de excursiones otoñales.

One of the things that I like most when the weekend arrives is to get away from Madrid for a few hours and go to “rediscover” typical and charming places near the capital. It really makes me disconnect of my working week.

Last weekend you saw that we visited the Royal Palace of Aranjuez. Of course it is a mandatory trip because the Palace is beautiful inside and you can see over 30 different rooms for just €9 per person. It is amazing the contrast of colors of the velvet curtains and walls of the rooms (green, red and gold colors which are very typical of royalty) the Moorish-style rooms (“smoking rooms”) or complete rooms adorned with china porcelain, even the walls! Its majestic central staircase with golden railings, the carriages and baggage they used at those days… and of course the wonderful wedding dresses that our last Queen Sofia, and the current Queen of Spain, Letizia, wore on their respective weddings.

It’s also amazing to walk through the gardens along the river road until you reach the old barges (ships in which kings, princes and princesses and generally the upper class went for a walk when the weather allowed it). All of them made of wood but taking care even of the slightest details: identification shields, angels, mermaids, … mixed again with velvet and gold thread tassels.

Also in Aranjuez is the confluence of two important rivers: the Tajo and Jarama. It’s lovely to see the vegetation that arises on both sides of them and you can walk and eat on the banks of the river typical Spanish food in traditional restaurants.

This time I chose a very simple look with a pair of high waisted jeans, a striped shirt and a black coat and boots. The hat is a must to me in this kind of autumnal road trips.
