Dec. 24: Happy Xmas!

Todavía no me puedo creer que estemos a una semana de que termine el 2014… ¡a mi este año se me ha pasado volando! Aunque bien es cierto que cuanto más trabajas y más cosas tienes que hacer el tiempo pasa más rápido… Mi balance de este 2014 desde luego es muy positivo: he seguido trabajando, esforzándome y mejorando en lo que más me gusta, he conocido a gente nueva increíble que ahora me acompañan en la divertida aventura de mi vida y aunque he perdido a una persona muy importante en ella se que siempre seguirá viva en mi corazón y que ahora me cuida desde arriba.

Después de esta mini introducción ‘recap‘ de mi año 2014 comentemos el look de hoy. Espero no pareceros repetitiva con mis nuevas motas de estilo mosquetero pero a mi me gustan tanto que me las pongo prácticamente a diario. Por eso hoy he querido enseñaros una nueva propuesta con ellas. Vuelvo a recurrir a prendas oversize y a otro de los colores que siempre suelo ponerme en invierno: el verde en todas sus tonalidades. Llevo una chaqueta verde y debajo una camisa de cuadros con jersey oversize encima. El cinturón lo puse para ajustar más el sweater en la cintura. Como la camisa es en colores negro, blanco y burdeos escogí este bolso bandolera en burdeos también.

Os deseo a todos una feliz cena de Navidad reunidos con vuestros seres más queridos.

I still can not believe that we’re one week to the end of the 2014… to me this year has gone so fast! Although it is true that the more work and more things we have to do the faster the time pass… My 2014 balance of course is very positive: I continued working, striving and improving on what I really like, I’ve met new amazing people that now accompany the funny adventure of my life and although I lost a very important person to me I know that she will always live in my heart and she takes care of me from above.

After this mini introduction as a ‘recap’ of my 2014 let’s talk about today’s look. I hope not being repetitive to you wearing again my new musketeer style boots but I like them so much, I wear them almost daily. So today I wanted to show you a new proposal with them. Once again I opted for oversize clothes and other color that I always use to wear in winter time: green in all its hues. I’m wearing a green jacket and a plaid shirt underneath with and oversize sweater on top. I put on a belt to adjust the waist sweater. As the checkered shirt is in black, white and burgundy colors I picked this shoulder bag in burgundy too.

A day in Segovia

Como ya sabéis la mayoría de los fines de semana que no tenemos “nada que hacer” nos gusta improvisar un plan de última hora que siempre acaba convirtiéndose en un bonito día y sobre todo muy divertido.

Este sábado aprovechando el solazo con el que nos levantamos decidimos ir a Segovia como habréis visto en mis redes sociales a visitar el acueducto, pasear por sus calles y saborear un delicioso cordero en uno de sus restaurantes más conocidos: Casa Cándido. En el vídeo os cuento todo lo que hicimos y además una de las tradiciones más antiguas de este restaurante, si quieres conocerla puedes hacerlo AQUÍ. Si no conocéis Segovia sin duda es una de las ciudades más bonitas de obligatoria visita de nuestro país.

Y aprovechando el día tan soleado quise abrigarme pero con colores llamativos a juego por eso escogí este abrigo en amarillo limón. Encima llevo una bufanda de cuadros y por abajo una camiseta con una chaqueta de lana en burdeos, unos jeans rotos y mis deportivas personalizadas y diseñadas por mi misma.

As you already know many weekends that we have “nothing to do” we like to improvise a last minute trip that always ends up being a beautiful day and above all a funny time.

This last Saturday taking advantage of the sunny day we decided to go to Segovia as you have seen on my social networks to visit the aqueduct, strolling around its streets and enjoy a delicious lamb in one of his most popular restaurants: Casa Cándido. In the video I tell you everything that we did and also one of the oldest traditions of this restaurant, if you want to know everything you can do it HERE. If you haven’t visited Segovia yet is certainly one of the most beautiful cities ‘must go’ of our country.

Once again I took advantage of the sunny day to wear bright colors matching with the sun that’s why I was wearing this coat in lemon yellow color. I was wearing also a checkered a scarf on top and a shirt with a burgundy wool jacket, a pair of skinny ripped jeans and my customized and designed by myself sneakers.

Musketeers booties

La verdad es que llevo desde la vuelta de verano viendo botas tipo “mosqueteras” por todas partes pero no encontraba unas que me gustasen y fuesen con mi estilo… hasta que he descubierto estas. Son negras de piel, por encima de la rodilla y tienen la puntera y el tacón en charol, ¿qué os parecen a vosotros?

Aprovechando que seguimos con unos días muy soleados para ser invierno y una media de 15 grados por el día en la capital he elegido como primera opción para estrenarlas unos shorts también de cuero negros, una camisa blanca, una chaqueta de lana de estampado étnico en blanco y negro y por encima un abrigo bicolor en los mismos colores.

Gracias a ser embajadora del pop up 1001 Atmosphera tengo muchas joyitas nuevas que os iré enseñando en los próximos posts… las que llevo hoy son algunas de ellas: anillo con circonita y dos anillos de plata con piedras negras. Y lo que más ilusión me hace enseñaros hoy es mi nuevo reloj de cuarzo y cerámica en negro que es uno de los regalos de mi novio por Navidad, ¡es precioso!

Os deseo un bueno comienzo de semana y me voy corriendo a Las Rozas Village para conoceros a los que estéis por allí,

The truth is that since I’ve come back from summer I’ve been looking forward to find a pair of “musketeers” booties everywhere but I could not find anyone that I liked and that matched with my style… until I discovered these ones. They are all in black leather and above the knee and they have the toe and heel in patent leather, do you like them?

And as we continue having a very sunny days for being in winter time (with an average of 15 degrees during the day in the capital) I have chosen as first choice to wear them for the first time my black leather shorts, a white shirt, a fleece ethnic jacket in black and white and above a color-blocked coat in the same colors.

Thanks to being the ambassador of 1001 Atmosphera pop up I have many new rings and necklaces that I will be showing you in the next posts… Today I’m wearing some of them: a ring with cubic zirconia and two silver rings with black stones. And what makes me more excited to show you today is my new watch in black ceramic quartz because is one of my boyfriend’s gifts for Christmas, it’s beautiful!

Maya Adventures

¡Domingo!

Me he retrasado un día en publicar el último post de mi viaje a Riviera Maya pero es que ayer decidimos a última hora ir a pasear por Segovia como seguro que muchos visteis en mis redes sociales… Pero aquí tenéis lo prometido.

En el vídeo AQUÍ os cuento todas las aventuras que vivimos en “Maya Adventures” y en las fotos podéis verme como una mexicana más (me he enamorado de estos vestidos de lino o hilo con flores tan coloridas bordadas) paseando por las impresionantes playas donde contrastaban los diferentes azules turquesa del mar con el color verde de las palmeras y la blanca arena.

La parte que no se ve en le vídeo fue el circuito de tirolinas que para mi fue lo más divertido. Evidentemente a esa velocidad y altura no nos permitieron llevar la cámara de fotos… El circuito constaba de tres tramos donde atravesábamos literalmente la selva pasando por encima de los árboles, fue realmente impresionante.

Como sabéis yo no tomo alcohol pero allí estaba en el paraíso porque había zumos y batidos que mezclaban todo tipo de frutas. Nosotros hemos estado en el Hotel Gran Palladium que es la segunda vez que me alojo en él pero todos los de alrededor son igual de buenos.

Sunday!

I’m so sorry for the delay on posting this last post about my trip to Riviera Maya but yesterday we decided at the last minute to go for a walk to Segovia as I’m pretty sure that many of you saw on my social networks… But here you have the promised post.

On the video HERE I tell you all the adventures that we lived in “Maya Adventures” and the photos you can seeon the post are from me as a Mexican woman (I love these kind of dresses made of linen with all those colorful embroidered flowers) strolling around the stunning beaches which contrasted the different turquoise blue sea with the green palm trees and white sand.

The part that is not shown in the video was tirolinas circuit that for me was the most funny moment. Obviously at that speed and height we were not allowed to bring the camera… The circuit consisted of three sections where we literally passed through the jungle rising above the trees, it was really impressive.

As you know I do not drink alcohol but there I was in paradise because there was mingled juices and smoothies of all kinds of fruits. We’ve been in the Grand Palladium Hotel where it was my second time there but all hotels around are equally good.

Back to college

¡Y llegó el último viernes antes de Navidad!

¿Qué planes tenéis vosotros para estas fiestas? Yo me voy a quedar este año tranquilita por aquí para preparar bien todos mis viajes y trabajo que tengo ya en mente para 2015…

Es algo innato en mi volver de vez en cuando a mi mezcla favorita: blanco y negro. Por eso cuando vi esta falda de pata de gallo no pude resistirme a ella. La he combinado con una camiseta negra de canalé con cuello vuelto (si, es la misma que llevé el otro día pero me encantan este tipo de camisetas lisas y me la compré en varios colores). No llevo medias porque sabéis que siempre que puedo lo evito porque no me gustan y el sol de Madrid estos días permite ir sin ellas y con calcetines cortos como estos que llevo hoy con mis oxfords negros. Para protegerme estos días tan soleados llevo un sombrero y mis gafas So Real. El toque de color lo conseguí con mi bolso rojo con tachuelas.

And the last Friday before Christmas came!

What plans do you have for Xmas holidays? I’m staying trying to rest a little bit this year to prepare well all my travels and work that I have already in mind for 2015…

It is something innate in me to come back occasionally to my favorite mix of colors: black and white. So when I saw this checkered skirt in these colors I could not resist to buy it. I have combined it with a black shirt with ribbed turtleneck (yes, it’s the same one as the one I was wearing this week HERE but I love this kind of basic and simple shirts and I bought it in various colors). I do not wear tights because you know that whenever I can I try to avoid it but the sun in Madrid these days allows me to go without them and I opted for these short shocks with my black oxfords. To protect these days from the sun I’m wearing a hat and my So Real sunnies. I got the color touch with my red studded shoulder bag with gold chain.

Beauty Party!

¡Buenos días!

Como os prometí ayer aquí tenéis el post del divertidísimo evento de belleza que tuvimos ayer en la boutique de Benefit de la calle Ayala 19.

Quiero empezar agradeciendo a Marta, a todo su equipo y a todas las chicas de la tienda lo bien que nos trataron y lo simpáticas que son, ¡es un lujo tratar con gente así!

Aunque en el vídeo que dura más de 8 minutos y que podéis ver AQUÍ os cuento y os enseño todo lo que hicimos, el evento consistía en pasar un rato divertido con mis amigas a la vez que aprendíamos los mejores trucos a la hora de maquillarnos para cada ocasión y cómo cuidar nuestra piel. Todo el evento estuvo acompañado por unos deliciosos dulces y pasteles muy navideños y de bebidas y zumos de divertidos colores.

Realizamos unos tests para saber qué tipo de mujer somos y así comprobar qué perfume y productos son más acordes con nuestra personalidad, ¡increíble pero cierto!

Yo utilizo desde hace años muchos de sus productos al maquillarme a diario porque realmente me han dado buenos resultados y son aptos para todo tipo de pieles. Ya me contaréis qué es lo que más os gusta de la tienda.

Y para presentar este evento opté por unos jeans negros cortados con un jersey de estampado floral y mis salones con tachuelas.

Morning!

As I promised you yesterday here’s the post of the fabulous beauty event we had yesterday at Benefit boutique in 19 Ayala street.

I want to begin by thanking Marta, his entire team and all the girls in the store for the warm welcome and how good they treated us, it is really a luxe nowadays to find people like them!

Although in the video that lasts more than eight minutes and you can see HERE I tell you and show you everything we did, the event was to have a fun time with my friends while we were learning the best tricks to make-up for any occasion and how to take care of our skin. The whole event was accompanied by a delicious sweet and very Christmas cupcakes and juice drinks and pastries in funny colors.

We did some personal tests to find out what kind of woman we were so we can check out what perfume and products are more according with our personality, incredible but true!

I do admit that I’ve been using many of these products for years to makeup every day because they have really given me good results and are suitable for all skin types. Tell me what you like about the store when you visit it.

And for hosting this event I chose my black ripped jeans with a floral print sweater and my studded sandals.

My red soles in nude

Parece que no me he portado tan mal este año… y es que Papa Noel y los Reyes Magos (si si, todos juntos por este regalazo) se han adelantado este año para que pudiese estrenar por fin mis nuevos tacones más conocidos como “suelas rojas”.

Al ser el primer par que tengo he escogido el modelo So Kate de 12mm de tacón en color nude porque pienso que es más fácil de combinar con cualquier prenda de mi armario, ¿no creéis? Por eso esta vez he optado por unos vaqueros ajustados con flecos en el bajo (es un detalle que me encantó y sin duda fue decisivo a la hora de comprármelos) una camiseta de canalé blanca básica con cuello alto y un abrigo también en color rosa palo.

Como acabo de volver de la playa no he querido maquillarme así que simplemente llevo un poco de máscara de pestañas, para así poder dejar descansar a la piel y además lucir el color que he cogido.

Mañana os contaré todo acerca de la Beauty Party que presenté ayer en Benefit.

It seems that I have been a good girl this year… and because of that Santa Claus and the Magi (yep, all together for this best gift) have come before this year so I could finally release my new heels popular known as “red soles “.

As they are the first pair I get I have chosen So Kate model in 12mm heel and nude color because I think it is easier to match with any outfit from my closet, don’t you think so too? So this time I opted for a pair of skinny jeans with fringe on bass (it is a detail that I loved and it was certainly the one which made me buy them) a basic white ribbed turtleneck t-shirt and a warm fur coat also in pale pink color.

As I just arrive from the beach don’t wanted to wear make-up so I’m just wearing a bit of black mascara. This way I can leave my skin free for some days and I can shine with my brown color touch.

Tomorrow I will tell you everything about Benefit’s Beauty Party that I was hosting yesterday afternoon.

Discovering Cobá & Tulum

¡Buenos días!

Casi una semanita sin saber de mi por aquí eh… espero que me halláis echado de menos hehe.

La verdad es que no he podido publicar tanto como me gustaría porque ha sido un viaje algo “problemático” ya que incluso me ingresaron en el hospital pero aparte de esto el wifi del hotel tampoco es que funcionase muy bien… pero aquí os traigo el primer post de mi viaje.

Para mi fue uno de los días más divertidos porque alquilamos un coche y nos fuimos a conocer la zona por nuestra cuenta. Al final es como mejor se conoce un país, una ciudad, hablando y parándote con su gente a ver cómo viven, cómo piensan, qué comen…

Decidimos ir a Cobá que es una ciudad maya construida en mitad de una selva donde como os cuento en el vídeo de esta excursión que podéis ver AQUÍ vivían ya más de 55.000 personas en el siglo VIII, increíble. La pirámide central tiene más de 120 escalones y ahí que me puse yo a subirlos para mostraros las espectaculares vistas que se ven desde arriba.

Comimos en un humilde bar en mitad de la carretera que une Cobá con Tulum, como podéis ver en el vídeo la gente es muy hospitalaria, nos dejaron entrar a conocer su propia casa aparte de que nos cocinaron unos burritos buenísimos.

Cuando llegué a Tulum la verdad es que me quedé sin palabras… No podía creerme que atravesando un simple túnel de piedra surgiese esta fabulosa ciudad como de la nada. Es probablemente el sitio que más me ha impactado por su localización al lado del mar contrastando los colores verdes de la vegetación con el color turquesa de las aguas y por su amplitud de espacio y cantidad de edificaciones antiguas por todas partes.

Para un día de excursión opté por lo típico en estos casos: un crop top y unos shorts.

Morning!

It’s been almost a week from my last post… hope you have missed me! hehe.

The truth is that I couldn’t post as much as I would like because it has been a “problematic” journey… even I was in the hospital for one day but apart from this the hotel wifi was not that working fine … but here I show you the first post of my amazing trip.

For me this was one of the most funny days because we rented a car and went to visit the area by our own. I think this is the better way to discover a country, a city, talking with their people to see how they live, how they think, what they eat…

We decided to go to Cobá which is a Mayan city built in the middle of a jungle where as I tell you in the video of this tour that you can see HERE lived more than 55,000 people in the eighth century, amazing. The central pyramid has over 120 steps so I wanted to climb up to the top to show you the spectacular views that can be seen from there.

We ate at a humble bar/house in the middle of the road between Tulum and Cobá, as you can see in the video they were very hospitable people because they even let us get to into their house to see how they lived and they cooked us some really good burritos.

When I arrived to Tulum the truth is that I was speechless… I could not believe that through a simple stone tunnel this fabulous city arose out of nowhere. It is probably the site that has impressed me more with its location by the sea contrasting the colors of green vegetation with turquoise waters and its spaciousness and many old stone buildings everywhere.

For a trip day I was wearing a comfy look: a crop top with a floral shorts.

Color block jacket

¡Buenos días desde Riviera Maya, México!

Aquí son casi las 7 de la mañana y nos hemos levantado con un sol radiante y 25 grados, ¡yuhuu!

He tenido un viaje un poco complicado porque me vino una fuerte gastroenteritis en el avión que me trataron en cuanto aterricé… pero ya me encuentro mucho mejor aunque todavía no podré probar hoy la comida mexicana que tanto me gusta.

Os dejo este look que saqué en Madrid antes de irme. Ya conocéis mi pasión por la mezcla de blanco y negro por eso cuando vi esta chaqueta en b&w no pude resistirme a ella. La combiné con una camiseta negra básica y mis pantalones estilo boyfriend. ¿Qué os parece mi elección?

Morning from Riviera Maya, México!

Here it’s almost 7 in the morning and the sun shines like in summer time and the weather is 25 degrees, amazing!

I’ve had a bit tricky trip because I had a strong gastroenteritis on the plane but they treated me when I landed … but I feel much better now although I still can not prove today Mexican food that I like so much…

I show you today this look that I took in Madrid before leaving. You know my passion for black and white mix so when I saw this wool jacket in b&w I could not resist to get it. I combined it with a basic black shirt and my boyfriend style jeans. What do you think about my choice?

Now I’m going to have a healthy breakfast and then to the beach!

Don Quijote and the giants

“En un lugar de la Mancha de cuyo nombre no quiero acordarme…” así comienza uno de los libros más prestigiosos de nuestra literatura sino el que más, El Quijote, escrito por Miguel de Cervantes. Estoy segura de que la mayoría de vosotros os lo habréis leído porque aparte de ser un libro entretenido narrando las aventuras de un ingenioso pero algo chalado Don Quijote junto a su lacayo Sancho Panza es también un libro de obligatoria lectura (al menos cuando yo era pequeña así era).

Como muchos ya sabréis el fin de semana pasado estuvimos por tierras manchegas conociendo un poco más de su historia y visitando a los famosos “gigantes” de Don Quijote que como veis son molinos de viento enormes. Es muy bonito verlos de cerca y que te cuenten las historias que recoge cada uno de ellos. Comimos literalmente dentro de una cueva, La Martina.

Al estar por estas tierras aprovechamos la ocasión para visitar la bodega del castillo donde dormíamos, Chateau Viñas Oro y por primera vez he realizado una cata de vinos. Si si, yo, pero bueno ha sido una experiencia muy enriquecedora y diferente. Es impresionante ver todo el proceso desde la recogida de la uva hasta el propio embotellamiento del vino y colocación de las etiquetas.

Para los días de excursión y más con el frío que hace en el interior de la Península me abrigué con un jersey de cashmere de cuello vuelto en beige, unos pantalones ajustados burdeos, unas botas camperas y un abrigo de piel de borrego marrón.

Y el domingo estaré viajando a México así que os escribiré el post del lunes desde allí y os iré contando en mis redes sociales y mi canal de Youtube todos los detalles de mi viaje. ¡No os lo perdáis! (It Girl Marta).

“Somewhere in La Mancha whose name I do not want to remember …” that’s the beginning of one of the most prestigious books of our literature, maybe the top one, ‘El Quijote’ written by Miguel de Cervantes. I’m pretty sure that many of you have read it because apart from being an entertaining book recounting the adventures of a clever but sometimes crazy Don Quixote with his servant Sancho Panza is also a must-read book (at least in my school when I was little).

As many of you already know last weekend we were in Mancha region to know a little bit more about its history and visiting Don Quijote famous ‘giants’. As you can see on the pics they were huge wind mills. It is very nice to see them up close to you and people tell you the story it tells each one. Then we literally ate inside a cave, La Martina.

Being in these lands I took the opportunity to visit the wine cellar of the castle where we were sleeping ‘Viñas Oro Chateau’ and for the first time in my life I made a wine tasting. Yes yes, me, but hey it’s been a very rewarding and different experience. It is impressive to see the whole process from grape harvest to bottling wine and label placement on each bottle.

For these trip kind of days I like to wear warm clothes to fight against the cold interior lands of our country. So I was wearing a beige cashmere turtleneck sweater, a burgundy skinny jeans, my cowboy style booties and my sheepskin coat in brown.

And on Sunday finally we will be traveling to Mexico so I will write you Monday’s post from there. Also stay tuned to all my social networks and Youtube channel where I will be publishing all the details of my trip. Don’t miss it! (It Girl Marta).
