Mykonos, day 4

¡Buenos días!

¡Qué triste me levanto hoy porque es mi último día en este paraíso… vuelvo mañana a Madrid porque el Sábado tengo la boda de uno de mis mejores amigos desde siempre, Rober, y me mata si me la pierdo… hahaha. Pero ¿os imagináis despertaros cada día en esta casa, con esta piscina justo en frente del mar? Esto de verdad que no tiene precio… me he pasado horas aquí sentada meditando sobre mi vida, todo lo que me ha pasado, lo que quiero hacer en el futuro, etc… mirando las olas ir y venir…

Pero he disfrutado muchísimo de esta isla y de la gente griega en general, así que pienso volver muy pronto.

Este es mi look favorito de la semana sobre todo por el top. Me enamoré de él desde que lo vi y tuve que esperar varias semanas a que recibiesen mi talla. Es en azul clarito con bordados en blanco y lo he combinado con jeans blancos y alpargatas marrones. Si si, me ha dado fuerte este año con las alpargatas pero es que son tan cómodas y fresquitas…

Nos vamos corriendo a descubrir otra playa desierta de Mykonos, os lo enseñaré todo en Snapchat como cada día.

Good Morning babes!

How sad I am today because it is my last day in this paradise… I will come back to Madrid tomorrow because on Saturday I have the wedding of one of my best friends since many years ago, Rober, and he will kill me if I lose it… hahaha. But can you imagine to weak up every day in this house with the pool right in front of the sea? This is really priceless… I have spent hours sitting here meditating about my life, everything that has happened to me, what I will do in the near future, etc… watching the waves come and go…

But I have enjoyed this island and the Greek people in general, so I will come back very soon for sure.

This is my favorite look of the week especially for the top. I fell in love with it since I saw it for the first time and I had to wait some weeks until they received my size. It is in light blue and embroidered it white, so I have combined it with white short jeans and brown espadrilles. Yes yes, I’m loving espadrilles this summer because they are so comfortable, cool and chilly…

We’re going now to discover another beach of Mykonos, I’ll show everything on Snapchat like I do every day.

Mykonos, day 3

Un día más que me despierto en este paraíso… y tengo que deciros que me estoy acostumbrando a esto de dar clase de yoga a las 7:30 de la mañana. La verdad es que te relaja todo el cuerpo y la mente y luego el día se hacen mucho más llevadero.

Además, dadas mis grandes dotes de socializar con la gente hehe, me he hecho muy amiga de Miki, que es nuestra profe de yoga que ha venido directamente desde Los Ángeles. ¡Es un amor! Y me encanta rodearme de gente que transmite buenas vibraciones, positiva y sobre todo buena. Ya la habréis visto en alguna foto en mis redes sociales.

Y hoy cambio el color azul por el rosa y en esta ocasión las rayas verticales. Este vestido es tan fresquito y cómodo para verano que se va a convertir en un imprescindible en mis maletas de viaje. Sirve tanto para ir a la playa como para salir por las tardes o noches. Es de lino y lleva toda la espalda al aire cruzada. Ya se que os gustó mucho hehe por eso tenéis el link al final del post.

Hoy es miércoles, pero aquí la conexión es muy lenta y me cuesta horrores publicar cada post… así que imaginaros un vídeo. Voy a intentar subirlo pero si no puedo lo haré el fin de semana en cuanto vuelva a Madrid.

Another day waking up in this paradise… and I have to say that I’m getting used to this and to have yoga class at 7:30 in the morning every day. The truth is that it relaxes my body and mind and then the day become much more bearable.

As you now I’m a very sociable girl and what I like most when travelling is to talk and meet new people, so I have become a close friend of Miki, who is our yoga teacher who has come directly from Los Angeles. She is all love! And I love to surround myself with people that transmits good vibes, positive vibes and especially they are good persons. You might have already seen her on my pics and videos on my social networks.

And today I change the blue color for the pink and vertical stripes. This dress is so cool and comfortable for summer and for sure it will become an essential in my suitcases for my coming trips. I can wear it for both to go to the beach or to go out in the afternoons or evenings. It is linen and it has full open back with cross laces. I know that you liked it hehe so you have the link at the end of the post.

Today is Wednesday, but here the connection is very slow and it doesn’t work so good so it takes much time to publish each post… so imagine a video. I will try to upload it tonight but if I can’t don’t worry because I will do it on the weekend when I come back to Madrid, ok?

Despertarme un nuevo día en este paraíso…

Estas son la piscina y las vistas que tiene la villa en la que nos estamos quedando. Me tiro horas sentada en estas rocas mirando el mar… ya sabéis que es una de las cosas que más me gusta hacer cuando tengo tiempo porque me da mucha paz interior y calma.

Sigo con otro look en tonos azules que es lo que me había planteado para este viaje para ir a juego con la isla. Hoy llevo un body de estampado étnico en tonos azules, blancos y verdes. Este no es tan ajustado como otros por lo que sí se puede adaptar más a cualquier cuerpo. Y por fin he estrenado mis shorts plateados que sabéis que tengo desde hace varios meses. Me pareció la ocasión perfecta hacerlo con mis nuevas bailarinas también plateadas con estrellas.

Y ayer por la tarde fuimos a uno de los restaurantes más conocidos de la isla, Alemagou, desde donde pudimos disfrutar de una preciosa puesta de sol y unos exquisitos cocktails y cena. Os lo recomiendo si tenéis pensado pasar por aquí.

Nueva sesión de fitness + yoga ahora, que son las 7:30 de la mañana, así que me despido ya por hoy chicos. Recordad que os voy contando todo en directo en mi Snapchat: itgirlmarta.

To wake up one more day in this beautiful island…

These are the pool and the views that we have in our villa where we are staying. I’m spending hours sitting here in these rocks looking at the sea… you know it’s one of the things that I like to do when I have time because it gives me a lot of inner peace and calm.

And here you have another look in blue tones which is what I wanted to do for this trip to match the island colours. Today I’m wearing a ethnic print body in blue, white and green tones. This is not as tight as others so it can adapts more to any body. Do you like it? And I finally released my silver shorts that you know that I bought some months ago. I found the perfect opportunity to do it with my new silver flats too with little stars in red and blue.

And yesterday afternoon we went to one of the most famous restaurants on the island, Alemagou, where we could enjoy a beautiful sunset and exquisite cocktails and dinner. I recommend it to you if you have planned to stop by the island.

Mykonos, day 1

¡Buenos días de Lunes familia! Y yo tengo la suerte de despertarme en Mykonos…

Me he venido esta semana para disfrutar de esta bonita isla griega y a la vez disfrutar de unos días de vida súper sana. Tenemos dos sesiones de fitness al día y comida más sana de lo que como habitualmente, todo gracias a Soma Pnevma Retreats. Desde luego poder unir relax, localización perfecta, sol y un estilo de vida más saludable, es algo genial para unas vacaciones perfectas, ¿no creéis?

A este viaje he venido con mi amigo Emilio, amigo mío desde la infancia, que aparte de unirse a las actividades me está haciendo estas fotos tan bonitas y los vídeos que veréis pronto. Mientras tanto os dejo con el último vídeo que grabé en mi casa para que veáis las prendas que me he traído al viaje y que os iré enseñando estos días.

Este es uno de los vestidos azules que me traje para la isla ya que como sabéis y os cuento en el vídeo, aquí todas las casitas son en azul y blanco y he querido traerme la mayoría de la ropa en esos tonos. El vestido me gusta por el estampado y el diseño con escote en pico por detrás y botones delante, y porque sinceramente reconozco que en verano me encanta poder ir sin sujetador, siento que me libero hahaha. Las cuñas también os han gustado bastante y es verdad que son súper cómodas. Dan altura pero con plataforma, no con tacón, por lo que sirven para cualquier momento del día.

Mañana os contaré y enseñaré más cositas… ¡os deseo un feliz Lunes a todos!

Good morning family! And I have woken up in Mykonos to do some exercise…

I have come here this week to enjoy this beautiful Greek island and at the same time enjoy a few days of super healthy life. We have two fitness sessions a day and we ear healthier than I usually do, thanks to Soma Pneuma Retreats who have bring us here. Of course to mix relax, perfect location, sun and a healthier lifestyle, it’s a great thing for a perfect holiday, don’t you think so?

To this trip I came with my friend Emilio, we are friends since childhood, and apart from being joining us in our daily activities he is making me so nice pictures and videos like these ones and many others that you will see soon. Meanwhile I leave you with the last video that I recorded in my house in Madrid so you can see the clothes I brought to this trip and I will show these days the rest.

This is one of the blue dresses that I brought to the island because as you know and as I tell you in the video, here all the houses are painted in blue and white and I wanted to bring with me most clothes in these tones. The dress I like the print and design with a V-neck behind and buttons in front, and because honestly I do admit that in summer time I love to go without any bra, I feel like free, like if I was liberating myself hahaha. The wedges you also asked me about and it is true they are super comfortable. With the platform they are perfect for any time of the day.

Summer tunics

Ya está aquí el verano y con él las ganas de comenzar a llevar shorts, tops, vestidos y prendas frescas y cómodas, alpargatas…

Me encantó está túnica/vestido desde que la vi por varios motivos. El primero porque ya sabéis que el negro es mi color favorito. También me encanta la apertura delantera para que se vea un poco el bikini, y luego la tela es de gasa fina, muy cómoda y fresquita para ponérnosla rápidamente para ir a tomar algo, a comer…

En esta ocasión combiné este vestido playero con las alpargatas que os enseñé el otro día y que son comodísimas, a mi me encantan porque además combinan mis dos colores favoritos: blanco y negro.

Quiero deciros que me alegra mucho que os haya gustado tanto el último vídeo en mi canal con mi hermana. Es otro vídeo para que me conozcáis un poco más y a mi hermanita, y la verdad es que como siempre lo hice de la manera más natural y espontánea posible, tal cual nos iba saliendo. Summer is here and with it the desire to start wearing shorts, tops, summer dresses and cool and comfortable clothes, sandals and espadrilles…

I loved this tunic/dress since I saw it for the first time for many reasons. The first one is because you know that black is my favorite color. I also love the front opening to show a little bit the bikini, and then the fabric is very comfortable and cool so you can put it on quickly to go to eat something, stroll around, …

This time I have combined this tunic with the espadrilles I showed you the other day and they are very comfortable too. I love them also because they combine my two favorite colors: black and white.

I want to tell you that I am very glad you liked it so much my last video on my tv channel with my little sister. Is another video for you to know me a little bit more and my sister too, and the truth is that as I always use to do, it is as natural and spontaneous as possible, we are just like this hehe. Being a woman

No es fácil ser mujer. Nada fácil.

Lo siento mucho chicos, pero ser mujer siempre ha sido más complicado que ser hombre. Desde el momento en que nacemos se nos trata inconscientemente como el sexo débil. A medida que crecemos vamos experimentando cambios en nuestro cuerpo y en nuestras hormonas muy diferentes a los que sufren los hombres, eso es así. Al principio no los entendemos bien pero luego nos acabamos acostumbrando… porque no nos queda más remedio. En nuestra juventud siempre tenemos que andar con más ojo que ellos en todos los sentidos, porque o somos muy “guarras” o muy “santas”, o incluso podemos tener algún problema serio sólo por ser mujeres… Y cuando somos mayores nuestro cuerpo vuelve a sufrir una transformación brutal tanto por fuera como por dentro, y a volver a adaptarnos a otra nueva etapa…

También somos más sensibles. Y yo la que más. Lo reconozco. A veces pienso que nos gusta sufrir de más, en serio. No se darle a las cosas y a las situaciones (buenas noticias o por el contrario problemas) la importancia que tienen, somos un poco más “dramáticas” que ellos, pero ¿y qué sería de mi vida sin drama? hahaha. Lo sufro todo mucho si, lo vivo todo mucho. Pero siempre acabo aprendiendo tarde o temprano y todo nos hace más fuertes. La vida nos hace más fuertes.

No es fácil trabajar luchando por la igualdad de sexos cuando una semana al mes nuestras hormonas se van “de fiesta” haciendo que no nos reconozcamos ni a nosotras mismas. Esos días son los peores. Al menos para mí. Y necesitamos más cariño, más mimos, sí. Y si alguien nos quiere de verdad debería saberlo y tenerlo en cuenta.

No es la primera vez que escribo acerca de lo que me gusta ser mujer, porque me encanta serlo. Me encanta sentirme más fuerte cada día. Ver que si ellos pueden yo también. Que en la vida querer es poder y que el que la sigue la consigue, más allá de cualquier barrera social. Que todo esfuerzo siempre acaba teniendo su recompensa y que no hay mal que por bien no venga. Cuando una puerta se cierra se abre una ventana, eso está comprobado. Y todo sucede por algo… todo.

It is not easy being a woman. Not so easy.

I’m sorry guys, but being a woman has always been more complicated than being a man. From the moment we are born we are treated as the weaker sex unconsciously. As we grow up we experience changes in our bodies and with our hormones that men suffer different that us, that is true. At first time we do not understand well but then we just got used to it… because we have no choice. In our youth we always have to walk with more eye than them in every way, because either we or very “bitch” or very “holy” or we may even have some serious problems just because we are women… And when we are older our body again suffers a brutal transformation both outside and inside, and we have to re-adapt to a new situation again…

We are also more sensitive. Me the most. I do admit it. Sometimes I think we like to suffer more than it is. I do not know many times how to give things and situations (good news or problems) the real importance they have, we are a bit more “dramatic” than them, but so what? My life wouldn’t be my life be without drama, hahaha. I suffer all that much, and I live all that much. But I’m always learning too, and everything that happens to us makes us stronger. Life makes us stronger every day.

It is not easy to work fighting for gender equality when one week a month our hormones are going “to party” making us not recognize even ourselves. Those days are the worst. At least for me. And we need more love, more kisses and details, yes. And if someone really loves us then they should know this and act.

It is not the first time I write about how much I like being a woman, because I love to be a woman. I love feeling stronger every day. To say: if they can, me too. That in life is just a matter of want something, to want is to can. Love is stronger than any social barrier. Every effort always ends up having his reward and everything “bad” that happens to us is because something better is coming… When one door closes a window opens, true story. And everything happens for a reason… everything.

Our future

Menuda nochecita la de ayer… y me refiero al famoso “Debate” que hemos vivido en España entre los cuatro representantes de los cuatro partidos más importantes del país.

Se que no puedo o no debo dar mi opinión en este tipo de temas, igual que en los deportivos, etc. pero sinceramente sólo quiero decir una cosa desde mi propio punto de vista y desde lo que yo misma vivo cada día. Yo, Marta Carriedo, autónoma, que intento sacar adelante una empresa yo SOLA, de verdad si me suben los impuestos más me voy de este país… porque os digo que llevo mucho tiempo intentando contratar a alguien que me ayude para aliviar un poco mi carga de trabajo y poder centrarme en proyectos que me hacen ilusión y que creo que os encantarían… y todavía sigo sin poder hacerlos realidad. Creo que no se puede ni subir más los impuestos a la gente que no puede pagarlos igual que no estoy de acuerdo en dar un “sueldo gratuito” a la gente que no trabaje porque lo único que se fomentará con eso es que más gente sin empleo. Porque, ¿quién querría trabajar si el Estado te da un salario gratis? No quiero un gobierno corrupto pero tampoco quiero que me traten como idiota o me vendan imposibles. Quiero un gobierno transparente, justo y realista.

Dada mi opinión chicos, os pido que seáis sensatos a la hora de votar porque no está sólo en juego nuestro futuro sino el de nuestros hijos y el del país en general.

Y ahora viene la parte divertida hehe. ¡Este es de mis looks favoritos de pisci/playa! Me encantan los crop tops y si son de crochet mucho mejor. El tejido crochet sabéis que es la última moda y sobre todo en tops, shorts y bikinis para la playa. Yo me estoy haciendo ya una buena colección que os he ido enseñando y lo seguiré haciendo en mi siguiente viaje, y este lo he cambiando con mis shorts vintage y mis nuevas alpargatas que por cierto, ¡qué cómodas son! A mi me recuerdan a los trajes de pastora haha y me encanta que se hayan vuelto a poner de moda.

What a night yesterday … and I mean about the “Debate” we have lived in Spain with the four representatives of the four major parties in the country.

I know I can not or I should not give my opinion on this kind of issues, like in sports, etc. but honestly I just want to say one thing from my own point of view and from what I personally live every day. Me, Marta Carriedo, autonomous, I try to get ahead a new company by myself, really if they increase me taxes more I will leave this country… because I have been trying to hire someone to help me to relieve some of my daily work to can focus on new projects that I really would like to do… and I still can not realise them because I really can’t. I think you can not set higher taxes to people who can not pay them just as I do not agree to give a “free salary” to people who do not work because then more people will be freely unemployed. Because who would want to work if they receive a free salary? I do not want a corrupt government but I do not want them to treat me like an idiot or sell me impossible things. I want a transparent, correct and realistic government.

Given my opinion guys, please, think it well before voting because it is not only our future what we are talking about, it’s also our children’s and the nation’s in general.

And now comes the fun part hehe. This is my favorite looks of pool/beach! I love so much crop tops and crochet even more. You know that crochet fabric is the latest fashion and trend and specially in tops, shorts and bikinis for the beach. I am collecting many crochet pieces that I have been showing you and I will continue doing also on my next trip, and this time I have combined this new crochet top with my vintage shorts and my new bicolor espadrilles which by the way, they are very comfortable! They remind me to shepherdess costumes and I love that they have returned to be fashion.

Back necklines

¡Hola a todos!

Perdonad pero se ha vuelto a colgar este fin de semana el blog… Como ya sabéis esto es bueno y malo. Yo lo paso muy mal cada vez que se cuelga porque me escribís vosotros y mis amigos y familia para avisarme y me pongo muy nerviosa, pero por otra parte es bueno porque nuestra familia sigue creciendo (#martacarriedofamily), ¡qué bien!

La semana pasada en concreto hubo más visitas de lo normal superando el millón de visitas en un mismo día, y ese tráfico tan alto aunque pago para que no se cuelgue, pero es normal que de vez en cuando falle…

Pero bueno, ya está aquí el post de hoy con el primero de los looks que os enseño en el vídeo de hoy y que es con este vestidazo de fiesta que ya visteis algunos en Snapchat. Lo reconozco, me he vuelto adicta a los escotes de espalda porque me encantan. Me parecen muy sexis a la par que elegantes y este en concreto con cuerdas en zig zag me gustó también por el diseño y el color nude.

El hotel como veis es una maravilla. Es todo de estilo asiático, de ahí su nombre Asia Gardens. Mi amiga Isa y yo hemos conseguido lo que queríamos: volver morenitas, descansadas y con las pilas recargadas para una semana a tope de trabajo ya que me vuelvo a ir de viaje el Sábado… Os mantendré informados de todo como siempre en directo a través de mi Snapchat: itgirlmarta. Hello everyone!

Forgive me once again for the last problems with the blog… As you know this is something good and bad at the same time. I always have a very bad moment every time you or my friends and family write me to let me know that it doesn’t work, and I get very nervous, but on the other hand is something good because our family continues growing up (#martacarriedofamily), sooo good!

Last week in particular I had more visitors than normal, over a million visits in one day, and that is a good thing that I pay for of course, but it is normal to occasionally fail with such a big traffic…

But hey, finally is here today’s post with the first look and video where I’m wearing my new cocktail dress in the amazing hotel where I spent the whole weekend. Some of you have already seen it on Snapchat. I do admit it, I have become addicted to back necklines because I love them. They are very sexy and elegant at the same time and this one in particular with zigzag laces I also liked for the design and the nude color.

The hotel is wonderful as you can see. Everything is Asian style, because of that its name “Asia Gardens”. My friend Isa and me have got what we were looking for: time to relax, sunbathe and eat healthy. We have recharged batteries for a new non stop working week because I will be traveling again on Saturday morning… I will keep you informed of everything as always live through my Snapchat account: itgirlmarta. De nuevo Viernes y fin de semana, de los pocos que paso en Madrid. Por eso quería despedir la semana con las últimas fotos que tengo de mi viaje a Costa Rica, de un estilo mucho más playero y relajado.

Ya sabéis que siempre voy corriendo a todas partes, que como lo que pillo de pie en la cocina o por la calle, que por mucho que lo intento siempre suelo llegar tarde a las citas porque en cuanto se me retrasa una se retrasan todas, que voy pegada al móvil casi 24h… en fin, que voy como pollo sin cabeza, y por eso valoro mucho MUCHO cuando tengo momentos de paz y tranquilidad, aunque sean muy de vez en cuando, como este.

Las fotos de la hamaca son en una de las habitaciones del hotel Tango Mar en playa Tambor. ¡Qué siestas me eché en estas ‘camitas’, y qué cómodas son!

También os dejo algunas fotos de la preciosa playa virgen que teníamos llena de palmeras, llevando una túnica blanca y un bikini de crochet. Las túnicas o vestidos me parecen una opción muy cómoda y rápida para los días de playa. El bikini es más de ‘postureo’ que otra cosa, lo reconozco, pero me encanta igualmente. Este tipo de prendas no se pueden mojar porque la tela cede muy rápido, así que sólo sirven para momentos de puesta de sol o de ir a tomar algo muy monas con un bikini seco.

Y menudo finde de nervios nos espera… el sábado tenemos ¡el partido de Champions! Real Madrid VS Atlético de Madrid. ¡Que gane el mejor! Yo me siento muy orgullosa de que dos equipos españoles hayan llegado a la final.

Friday again and t’s gonna be a full weekend in Madrid. So I wanted to say goodby to this working week with the last photos I have from my last trip to Costa Rica, a more beachy and relaxed style.

You know I’m always running everywhere, I use to have lunch standing in my kitchen or running through the street, that I’m always late to my meetings because when the first one is delayed then it delays the other ones, that I’m almost 24h connected to my phone… anyway, I’m like headless chicken, so I value a lot when I have moments of peace and calm, although they are very occasionally, like this.

Pics on this amazing hammock were taken in one of the hotel rooms of Tango Mar Hotel, in Playa Tambor, where we were staying. What wonderful naps I had there and how comfortable they are!

I also have some pictures from the unspoiled beach full of palm trees, wearing a white beach robe and a crochet bikini. Tunics or dresses seem to me a very comfortable and quick option for beach days. The bikini is more for posing, I admit it, but I love it anyway. This type of clothing can not be wet because the fabric yields very fast, so that only serve to moments of sunset or going to take something very cute with a dry bikini.

And here in Spain we are all very nervous… because tomorrow, Saturday, we have two Spanish football teams face to face for the Champions League match! Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid. May the best win! I feel very proud that two Spanish teams have reached the final.

Hey, babe!

Cómo me gusta seguir encontrando prendas que me encanten nada más verlas, como esta camiseta. Es muy básica y sencilla, de mi estilo, blanca pero con la palabra clave “babe”.

Y de nuevo no pude evitar pensar en otra canción cuando vi esta camiseta, en este caso de la peli “Mi chica” la canción “My girl”, mi chica, o lo que es lo mismo, mi baby. No se si a vosotros os pasa pero en casi todas las situaciones de mi vida se me suele venir una canción a la cabeza; ya sea porque una palabra me lo recuerda o porque me siento identificada con una determinada situación.

Hoy os enseño un poco más la urbanización donde estuve en Valencia y el paseo marítimo. Otra de las cosas que me encanta hacer en verano es ducharme después de un largo día de playa y bajar a dar un paseo para disfrutar del atardecer…

Llevo también unos shorts que tienen muchas papeletas para convertirse en mis favoritos de este verano: vaqueros claritos con flecos negros a los lados. Para ir más cómoda escogí un bolso bandolera pequeño y mis alpargatas bicolor. Hey, babe!

I like to keep finding clothes that I really like since the first moment I see them, like today’s t-shirt. It is very basic and simple, absolutely my style, in white but with the keyword “babe”.

And again I could not avoid thinking about another song when I saw this tee, in this case from the movie “My Girl” and the song “My girl” from The Temptations, or what is the same, my baby. I don’t know if this happens to you but in almost any situation of my life it usually comes to mind a song; either because of a word that reminds me or because I feel identify with a particular situation.

Today I show you a little bit more about the place where I was staying in Valencia and around. Another thing that I love to do in summer time is to take a shower after a long day at the beach and then stroll around to enjoy the sunset…

I can say that it is probably that these shorts become my favourites ones for this summer: washed jeans with black fringe on the sides. To be more comfortable I chose a small shoulder bag and my color block sandals.
