Mirto SS’15

Modelos semi desnudos, patrones a medias, piezas sin cosas de camisas, cintas métricas… así comenzó el desfile de Mirto para mostrarnos las propuestas del verano que viene. Claro que poco a poco los diseños fueron cogiendo fuerza y terminaron en trajes perfectos a medida, camisas, incluso ropa interior y pijamas para dormir.

Tengo que reconocer que de este desfile hay dos cosas que me llamaron la atención. La primera es ver (y aseguraría que por primera vez) a hombres “mayores” desfilando. Me parece una idea muy buena porque en realidad esta ropa es para hombres de todas las edades y cuerpos, no sólo para los modelos que salen en las pasarelas. Además he de reconocer que estos señores que desfilaron lo hicieron bastante bien. Otra cosa que me llamó la atención de este desfile y que tampoco creo que haber visto antes es que uno de los modelos apareció en bici, si si, ¡una bici en el catwalk! Increíble pero fue un momento muy divertido ya que además era un modelo muy alegre y gracioso.

Mirto apuesta por coloridos cuadros y rayas siempre dentro de su elegante línea y estilo. Incluso se atrevió a introducir camisones para chico, algo también poco común en la ropa para ellos, pero algo que yo valoro mucho en la moda, innovar.

¿Qué opináis de estas propuestas? ¿Os gustan más o menos que las de ayer?

Semi naked bodies, half patterns, pieces of shirts, measuring tape… that’s the way it started Mirto fashion show with the proposals for the next summer. Gradually gaining strength and designs were perfectly completed, custom shirts and suits, even underwear and pajamas sleeping suits.

I have to admit that in this fashion show there were two things that caught my attention. The first one is to see (and I’m pretty sure that for the first time in my life) “old” men parading. I think that this is a very good idea because these clothes are actually for men of all ages and bodies not only for models that usually come out on the catwalk. I must also recognize that these gentlemen who paraded did it pretty well. Another thing that struck me about this show and I think once again that I haven’t seen it before is that one of the models appeared on a bike, yes yes, a bike on the catwalk! Unbelievable but it was a funny time and he was also a funny model.

Mirto bets for colorful checks and stripes forever following his elegant line and style. Even dared to introduce boys nightshirts, something too strange in clothing for them but a thing that I love in fashion, to innovate.

Altona Doc SS’15

¡Buenos días!

¿Cómo va vuestro fin de semana? Yo he decido hacer una escapada con mis amigas porque me espera una semana dura y con operación de por medio… pero no os preocupéis que no es nada grave.

Hacía tiempo que no actualizaba la sección It Boy porque soy muy exigente con el contenido y por fin al asistir a la semana de la moda para ellos he podido realizar estas fotos de las propuestas que más me han gustado para la temporada Primavera/Verano 2015.

Estas fotos en concreto son del desfile de Altona Doc. Como veis apuestan por los colores muy vivos, la mezcla de estampados, los contrastes hippies y veraniegos de los collares hawaianos de flores combinados con un estilo más hip hop del pañuelo en la cabeza. Los trajes se llevan tanto largos como cortos y está claro que el estampado de cuadros es el protagonista mezclado con prendas deportivas. La clave está en la mezcla como ya he dicho muchas veces en mis posts.

Y desde luego menudos modelos nos hemos encontrado este año en la pasarela, yo no se si es que el año pasado no me fijé bien pero desde luego no hay ninguno feo eh? hehehe.

Morning people!

How is going your weekend? I decided to make a quick trip with my friends because I will have a very busy week and even with an operation on tuesday… but don’t worry because it’s nothing serious.

I hadn’t update the It Boy section of my blog because I’m very picky about the content and finally I attend the fashion week for him so I could take these pictures of the proposals that I really liked for Spring/Summer 2015 season.

These photos are from Altona Doc brand and they bet on bright colors, mixing prints, hippies and summer contrasts with the hawaiian flower necklaces combined with more hip hop style with the headscarf. You also can see both: long and short colorful suits and it is clear that the checkered pattern is the protagonist mixed with sportswear. The key is in the mix as I have said many times in my posts.

And of course we have found all these handsome models on the catwalk this year, I do not know if the last year I did not notice it but this year there are no one ugly eh? hehehe.

Popped by Men Fashion Week

Una vez más hemos vivido la semana de la moda para ellos con los nuevos diseños para la Primavera/Verano 2015 pero esta vez no ha sido como las anteriores… No se si ha sido porque El Corte Inglés se ha metido de por medio pero desde luego estos modelos tan guapos, altos y sobre todo simpáticos no son a lo que yo por lo menos estaba acostumbrada a ver en anteriores ediciones. Os dejo fotos con algunos de ellos y este fin de semana haremos un repaso de alguno de los desfiles que más me han gustado a mi, ¡así que estad atentos!

En las fotos salgo también con mi compi y amigo Carlos Arnelas que además es blogger oficial de ECI y con mi amigo Luis Yanes que sólo puedo decir que es un crack.

Como venía directa de una grabación para mis joyas favoritas, Ararat by Yanes, no me dio tiempo de cambiarme de ropa. Por lo tanto llevo un vestido color block en blanco y negro donde la falda es lisa y el cuerpo es de tirantes con pequeños volantes. Opté por mis sandalias de cordones en estampado de serpiente y cómo no por un anillo y una combinación de pulseras muy original mezclando brazaletes anchos con pulseras de tornillo. Como siempre un maxi bolso para poder meter todos mis imprescindibles del día a día.

Espero que paséis un buen día y fin de semana y mañana acordaros de revisar la sección de chico para conocer las nuevas propuestas de los diseñadores españoles de cara al verano que viene.

Once again we have attended the men fashion week with the new designs for the Spring/Summer 2015 but this time it has not been like the last year… I don’t know if it was because El Corte Inglés has gotten in between but of course these very handsome, tall and mostly friendly models are not what I was used to see in the last previous editions. I show you some pics with some of them and this weekend we will review some of the shows that I liked most, so stay tuned!

In the pics I’m also with my cool friend Carlos Arnelas who actually is an official blogger of ECI and my super friend Luis Yanes which I only can say that is a top.

As I came directly from a shooting with my favorite jewelry brand, Ararat by Yanes, I didn’t have time to change my clothes. So I was wearing a color block dress in black and white where the skirt is smooth and the body is a top with small wavelets. I chose my sandals with laces in snake print and how not a ring and these very original combination of bracelets in gold, silver, and rose gold. Always a maxi bag to bring with me my essentials for the day a day.

Cool friends lunch

¿Hay algo más divertido para alegrarnos la semana que una comida de mujeres GUAPAS para celebrar el Santo de una de ellas? Personalmente creo que no.

Ayer fue el día de la Virgen del Carmen, desde aquí os felicito a todas las Cármenes, y en especial a mi “madrina” Carmen Lomana que nos invitó a sus amigas más cercanas a una comida muy divertida. Y digo “madrina” porque es una persona que si la veis maravillosa por fuera por dentro lo es aún más. No se ha podido portar mejor conmigo desde que nos conocimos hace ya varios años y para mi aparte de ser un referentes es una confidente en este “mundo de lobos” como yo le llamo. La comida tuvo lugar en un céntrico restaurante de la capital, Bicoca, y entre langostinos, jamón “del bueno” y huevos rotos aparte de unos exquisitos segundos empezamos a repasar el actual panorama social español entre risas y con buen humor.

Yo para una comida de este tipo opté por un total white look: falda blanca de neopreno con lunares grabados (de Topshop de este verano), camisa blanca semitransparente (de Zara de temporada también) y mis tacones de serpiente con cordones (de las rebajas de Zara).

Is there anything more funny that to have lunch with BEAUTIFUL women to celebrate the day one of them? Personally I think that not.

Yesterday was the day of the Virgin Carmen, from here I congratulate all Carmen’s, and especially my “godmother” Carmen Lomana who invited her closest friends to a funny meal. And I say “godmother” because she is a person that if you see wonderful outside inside is even more. Since we met some years ago she’s been always taking care of me and she is my reference apart from being a good confident in this “world of wolves” as I call it. The lunch took place at a downtown restaurant in the capital, Bicoca and between prawns, good ham and broken eggs besides exquisite seconds plates we began to review the current Spanish social news between laughs and good humor.

For this special meal I opted for a total white look: white neoprene skirt with polka dot print (Topshop this summer), semi-transparent white shirt (Zara this season too) and my heels snakeskin with laces (Zara sales).

Floral day

Una de las cosas que más me gusta del verano es poder ponerme a diario mi colección de vestidos que utilizo indistintamente para el día o la noche. Este es uno de mis favoritos porque lleva la mezcla de dos colores muy básicos y elegantes: beige y blanco. Además la parte de arriba lleva unos volantes que son un adorno muy chic. Como también fue un día largo (para variar en mi vida) opté por ponerme zapato plano también en color block con negro y beige. Como accesorios escogí este bonito cinturón dorado con hojas hecho a medida para mi y esta corona de flores. Mis brazaletes dobles en plata y oro son el complemento perfecto para este look sencillo y muy dulce por los detalles tanto del vestido como de las flores en cintura y pelo. Un maxi bolso es imprescindible en mi día a día para poder tener a mano todo lo que necesito en cada momento.

¡Y me voy a seguir con mi súper miércoles! Iréis viendo en mis rrss todas las cositas que tengo hoy pendientes… ¡como me encanta mi trabajo me apetecen todas!

One of the things that I like most about summer time is to wear daily my collection of dresses that I use either for day or night. This is one of my favorites because it mixes two very basic and elegant colors: beige and white. Besides the top has little flyers which are a very chic detail. As it was also a long day (something strange in my life?! hehe) I decided to wear flat shoes also color block with black and beige. As accessories I chose this beautiful gold belt with golden leaves made for me and this floral headband. Double bracelets in silver and gold are the perfect jewelry to combine with the details of the dress and the flowers. A maxi bag is a must in my day to day to carry on everything I need.

And now I’m going to continue with my wednesday which is going to be a looong day as you will see on my social networks… But as I love my work I’m really happy for doing everything!

Colour your life

¡Buenos días amigos!

Si ayer os enseñaba una propuesta para ir a un evento especial como una boda o un cocktail hoy os traigo un look completamente diferente y muy deportivo.

Y he llamado al post “añade color a tu vida” porque cuando vi las fotos es lo primero que se me vino a la cabeza. Me fijé en que en todo el conjunto hay muchos focos de color y rápidamente lo comparé con mis looks de invierno donde me atrevo a añadir color simplemente en calzado o complementos… ¡y esto es lo bueno del verano! Decidí ponerme este chaleco de estampado étnico en tonos azules sin nada debajo para ir más fresquita. Lo combiné con unos jeans ajustados y mis zapatillas Stan Smith que para los días que tengo que ir a mil sitios son siempre una buena opción. El bolso tipo tote en color azul bebé es también un must para mi día a día porque puedo llevar todo lo que necesito. Otro foco de color está en el espejo de las gafas de sol que es en color azul también. Como accesorios un veraniego reloj de tela rayas azules y blancas y una maxi pulsera en verde esmeralda.

¿Qué os parece este outfit para un día casual y menos arreglado?

Yesterday I showed you a good choice to go to a wedding or a cocktail, to go to a special event. Today it’s a complete different look and very sporty.

And I’ve named the post “colour your life” because when I saw the photos it was the first thing that popped into my head. I noticed that there are many points of color in this look and quickly compared it with my winter outfits where I only add color with the shoes or accessories… but this is the good point of the summer! I decided to wear this ethnic print vest in blue colors with nothing underneath to go more chilly. I combined it with some skinny jeans and my Stan Smith sneakers which are always a good choice for those days that I’ve to go quickly from one place to another. My tote bag style in baby blue is also a must for my day a day because I can bring with me everything I need. Another color focus is on the blue mirror of the sunglasses. As accessories my blue and white striped summer watch and a maxi emerald bracelet.

Bermuda day

¡Buenos días!

Hoy es un día muy largo pero importante para mi. En mi empresa de comunicación hemos organizado un evento muy divertido para uno de nuestros clientes, por eso comienzo el día desde bien pronto pero con mucha energía.

Y para estos días que seguimos sin saber si hace calor o frío he escogido esta vez unas bermudas. Ya sabéis que cada año me compro y rescato las que más me gustan porque me parecen una prenda elegante tanto para el día como para la noche. Por eso he combinado estas en color maquillaje con un crop top blanco de canapé y una camisa azul marino por encima. Las cuñas son otra de mis adquisiciones de rebajas y desde luego no me las quito estos días porque las llevo desde con vaqueros hasta con faldas, vestidos o shorts como hoy. ¡Son comodísimas! La cuña no es muy alta y al no llevar tacón la base es más ancha y se camina con más equilibrio.

Hi guys!

Today is a long but very important day to me. In my communication agency we have organized a communication a funny and cool event for one of our clients, so I started working from very early today but with a lot of energy.

And these days we still don’t know if it’s hot or cold (this crazy weather…) so this time I have chosen one of my bermudas. You know that I buy every year and rescue from my closet the ones I like most because I really think they are so stylish for both day and night. So I combined these make up color bermuda with a white crop top and a blue marine shirt above. Wedges are another of my purchases from sales and I’m wearing them almost everyday because they match everything: from jeans to skirts, dresses or shorts as today. They are so comfortable! The wedge is not too high and not wearing heel is better and more steady for walking.

Kimono style

¡Buenos días chicos!

Cómo me gusta añadir tanto a mi armario como a mis looks diarios prendas que sean originales y diferentes… Este verano me ha dado por la tendencia asiática. Si hace poco me veíais con un kaftán de flecos negro hoy os enseño este kimono de flores que me parece una prenda muy veraniega y combinable para casi cualquier situación.

La palabra kimono viene de Japón donde literalmente significa “cosa para vestir”. Aunque desde la antigüedad se ha utilizado por este área como prenda de vestir tanto para mujeres y hombres como para niños hemos visto una clara evolución en los diseños y una progresiva introducción en el mundo de la moda y en las nuevas colecciones.

Yo he escogido este en particular en blanco con flores porque me recuerda mucho a esta corriente asiática. Lo he combinado con prendas a juego con los colores del estampado: unos jeans rotos en verde caqui, unas cuñas en rosa palo y este clutch que es lo último en bolsos con estampado de naturaleza que ya le habréis podido ver a Ariadne Artiles o a su hermana Aída por ejemplo.

I always like to add to my closet some clothes that are original and different… This summer I’ve been following the Asian trend. If you recently saw me wearing a black fringed kaftan today I show you this floral kimono that seems like a very cool and combinable complement for almost any situation.

The word “kimono” comes from Japan which literally means “thing to wear.” Although it has been used in this area as the cloth to wear for men, women and children we have seen a clear evolution in the designs and the progressive introduction into the world of fashion and into the new collections.

I chose this particular one in white with pink flowers that reminds me of this Asian culture. I’ve combined it with clothes to match its print colors: a ripped pair of jeans in khaki green, soft pink wedges and this clutch which is the ultimate in cool prints bags with nature scene that you maybe have seen Ariadne Artiles or her sister Aida wearing it for example.

Sneaka freaka

¡Buenos días!

Me gustaría comenzar el post de hoy aclarando un tema que creo que hay algunas personas que no saben o que no tienen claro. Yo comencé este blog porque me encanta la moda y mostraros varias cosas: los looks y combinaciones de ropa que hago, mi forma de entender la moda, la gente que conozco, las firmas que descubro y con las que colaboro, las ciudades que visito, los restaurantes en los que como, pero sobre todo por “conoceros” virtualmente y cada vez que puedo hablar con vosotros (por las redes sociales más que por aquí). Pero yo, como supongo que vosotros, tengo vida aparte de esto. Es decir, me cuesta mucho esfuerzo mantener mi blog con mi trabajo en mi agencia de publicidad, muchas horas y no descanso ni los fines de semana, pero lo hago porque las dos cosas son mis pasiones. Os cuento todo esto porque en mi post de ayer de la colaboración que realicé con Nivea os decía a las 10 de la mañana que en ese link os daban muestras gratuitas. A las 16h volví a subir una foto contándolo y al parecer ya no lo daban pero evidentemente yo estaba en la oficina trabajando y no había comprobado si lo daban ya o se habían agotado. No es mentir, no es intentar conseguir seguidores (todavía no entiendo muy bien qué seguidores voy a conseguir por decir que os dan una muestra gratis de Nivea en su web) ni es maldad. Es simplemente algo que cuando publiqué el post si funcionaba y pensé en vosotros para que también lo probaseis. No se qué maldad puede haber en eso cuando yo ya tengo mis botes pero en fin…

Y vamos a lo nuestro que es analizar el look de hoy. Como me encantan las sneakers plateadas que me compré en mi último viaje a Milán (ya las he conseguido en doradas también hehe) me gusta buscar opciones que cuadren dentro de mi estilo con las que poder combinarlas. En esta ocasión me apetecía un outfit fresco pero con mucha luz, por eso escogí esta falda plisada blanca y una camisa vaquera sin mangas atada en la cintura a modo crop top. Opté por otro de mis maxi bolsos para poder llevar todo lo que necesito a diario. Accesorios simples y no llamativos: anillos finitos, reloj negro, y colgante con “m” de Marta.

¿Qué os parece el combinar una falda que en principio puede ser de un estilo más elegante con una camisa vaquera y sneakers?

I would like to start today’s post clarifying an issue that I think there are some people who do not know or they haven’t clear. I created this blog because I love many things around fashion world and I really enjoy showing you the looks and combinations of clothing that I do, how I understand this fashion world, the people I meet, the new brands that I discover and collaborate with, the cities I visit, the restaurants I like, but mostly for “meeting you” virtually and every time I talk to you (through my social networks more than here). But as you can imagine I have life apart from this. I mean, I can hardly keep my blog with my actual work in my advertising agency, I spend too many hours and no rest even on weekends, but I do the effort because both are my passions. I tell you all this because in yesterday’s post about my collaboration with Nivea I said at 10 am that through that link you can have free samples of the new Nivea body lotion. At 16h I shared a new pic telling it again but obviously from my office, I was working and had no time to check again if the promotion was still available. Not lying, not trying to get new followers (still I don’t understand why fans will follow me only for saying that the can get a free sample of Nivea at it website) not evil. It’s just something that when I published the post it worked and I thought of you so you can try them too. I mean I already have my own products at home…

And now let’s talk about what interest us, today’s look. As I’m totally in love with my silver sneakers that I bought in my last trip to Milan (and I also got in golden he he) I found options that fit with my style but that can also combine with them. This time I wanted a cool but bright outfit, so I chose this white pleated skirt and sleeveless denim shirt with a tieat the waist kind of crop top style. I chose one of my maxi bags again to carry everything I need for my day a day. Simple and not flashy accessories: thin rings, black vintage watch, and my “m” of Marta necklace.

Body lotion in the shower

El miércoles pasado como algunos ya visteis en mis redes sociales tuve la suerte de volver a formar parte de la presentación de los nuevos productos de Nivea. En este caso se trata desde mi punto de vista de un 2 en 1. Por una parte yo utilizaba gel de cuerpo durante ducha y crema de cuerpo después de la ducha pues ahora con las nuevas lociones de cuerpo que se aplican mientras nos bañamos la piel ya sale suave e hidratada y así es mucho más eficiente.

En esta ocasión esta presentación tuvo lugar en un conocido centro de belleza de Madrid, Mi Calle de Nueva York, donde además de conocer y probar los nuevos olores (cacao y miel) pude disfrutar de los tratamientos que más me gustan: manicura, pedicura y masaje. Como os digo esta nueva línea la han realizado en dos aromas: a cacao que como veis en los siguientes esquemas os ayudará a relajaros a final del día o a miel que yo lo utilizo para empezar mis días con energía y buen humor, ¡que buena falta nos hace a todos!

¿Vosotros conocíais ya estos productos? A mi me parece un producto clave que aparte de ser 2 en 1 y ahorrarme tiempo por las mañanas que siempre voy con el tiempo justo me hace sentir bien por el olor que deja durante todo el día en mi piel. Last Wednesday, as some of you already saw on my social networks, I was so happy to host once again the presentation of the new Nivea products. This time it is from my point of view a 2 in 1 product. Firstly when I take a shower I use shower gel for the body and body cream after the shower but now with the new body lotions that you apply while the bath your skin will be soft and hydrated the whole day and this is much more efficient.

This time the presentation took place in a popular beauty center of Madrid, My Street of New York, where in addition to try and test the new Nivea fragrances (cacao and honey) I could enjoy the treatments that I like most: manicure, pedicure and massage. As I’ve said this is a new line that you can find in two different fragances: cocoa as you can see in the following diagrams will help you to relax at the end of the day and honey which I use to start my days with helps me to begin with energy and good humor, I really think we need that!
