Cool jewels for the day a day

¿Qué es una joya para vosotros? En mi opinión una joya es algo que nos hace sentir especiales y que hace que cualquier look destaque más delo normal. Hay joyas muy llamativas para eventos más especiales pero a mi las que más me gustan son las que puedo llevar a diario en mis días de trabajo.

Hoy os quiero enseñar uno de mis últimos descubrimientos: los relojes y joyas de la firma Bering. En el outfit de hoy llevo reloj y anillos de ellos y como veis son de mi estilo completamente. El reloj de hoy es muy clásico, dorado con esfera blanca y números naturales, pero lo que más quería enseñaros son los anillos. No son anillos normales… ¡son combinables! Me explico. se enroscan y desenroscan para poder inventar miles de posibles combinaciones entre ellos. Yo hoy he escogido estas pero el próximo día os enseñaré otras diferentes. ¿Qué os parece esta innovadora técnica para no llevar siempre la misma joya?

Y como os he comentado al principio para combinar estas joyas tan modernas he escogido un look muy cómodo y casual a la vez. Llevo maxi gabardina en color beige, camiseta negra con unos jeans blancos, mi nuevo pañuelo en tonos tierra con estampado de tigres, y un bolso bicolor a juego con las bailarinas. También llevo mis maxi gafas de sol negras y… ¡hoy me he hecho coleta! Se que a vosotros os encanta pero a mi no, hahaha pero bueno he querido cambiar un poco y no verme siempre con el pelo liso y suelto.

What is a jewel for you? In my opinion a jewel is something that makes us feel special and can make any outfit high light over the rest. There are very flashy jewelry for more special events but to me the ones I like most are the ones I can wear everyday for my working days.

Today I want to show you one of my latest discoveries in watches and jewelry: Bering time. On today’s outfit I’m wearing a watch and rings completely matching with my style. The watch is very classy, in gold with white dial and natural numbers, but what I really wanted to show you are these rings. They seem normal rings… but you can combine them! Let me explain to you: you can crew and unscrew all those thin rings to invent thousands of possible combinations. Today I’ve chosen these combinations but next day I will show you different ones. What do you think about this innovative technique to not always wear the same jewel?

And as I have mentioned before to combine these jewels I have chosen a modern and very comfortable and casual look. I’m wearing a maxi trench in beige, a black shirt with a pair of white jeans, my new scarf in earth colors with tiger print and a color blocked bag matching with the flats. I’m also wearing my maxi black sunglasses and… this day I made ponytail! I know that you love it but I don’t! hahaha but I just wanted to change a little bit and look different and do not always wear my straight hair.

2 in 1 coat!

¡Buenos días!

Como muchas me preguntasteis por este abrigo reversible que encontré el otro día en el pop up 1001 Atmosphera en la firma de mi amiga Carla, os traigo un look completo para que lo podáis ver más de cerca como me pedisteis.

Lo que más me gustó de él aparte de obviamente ser 2 en 1 y su precio tirado (25€) es que es reversible es dos de los colores que más me gustan: negro y beige. Por eso a la hora de escoger mi calzado lo tuve claro pensando en mis bailarinas color blocked en los mismos tonos. Vuelvo a recurrir a pantalones negros esta vez con mil cortes y un toque marinero que dio la camiseta de rayas con ancla. Maxi gafas negras de pasta y bolso beige para terminar de completar el outfit.

Bueno, y ya estamos a jueves así que espero entre mañana y el fin de semana poderos contar buenas noticias… ¡seguid atentos a mis redes sociales! (@itgirlmarta).

Morning my friends!

As many of you asked me about this cool 2 in 1 coat that I found the other day at 1001 Atmosphera pop up that I was hosting, here you have a complete look with it so you can see it closer and better, your wishes are like orders to me hehehe.

What I like most about this coat apart of the 2 in 1 model and the price (only €25) is that it is made in the two colors that I like most to combine together: black and white. So it was easy my flats choice, my color blocked beloved flats in the same colors. I return once again to some ripped black jeans (this ones so so ripped) and the sailor touch came with the striped with an anchor. Maxi black leather sunnies and my beige bag to complete the outfit.

And as today is Thursday I hope that between today and tomorrow I could tell you finally some good news… so stay tuned to my social networks! (@itgirlmarta).

Color block jacket

¡Buenos días desde Riviera Maya, México!

Aquí son casi las 7 de la mañana y nos hemos levantado con un sol radiante y 25 grados, ¡yuhuu!

He tenido un viaje un poco complicado porque me vino una fuerte gastroenteritis en el avión que me trataron en cuanto aterricé… pero ya me encuentro mucho mejor aunque todavía no podré probar hoy la comida mexicana que tanto me gusta.

Os dejo este look que saqué en Madrid antes de irme. Ya conocéis mi pasión por la mezcla de blanco y negro por eso cuando vi esta chaqueta en b&w no pude resistirme a ella. La combiné con una camiseta negra básica y mis pantalones estilo boyfriend. ¿Qué os parece mi elección?

Morning from Riviera Maya, México!

Here it’s almost 7 in the morning and the sun shines like in summer time and the weather is 25 degrees, amazing!

I’ve had a bit tricky trip because I had a strong gastroenteritis on the plane but they treated me when I landed … but I feel much better now although I still can not prove today Mexican food that I like so much…

I show you today this look that I took in Madrid before leaving. You know my passion for black and white mix so when I saw this wool jacket in b&w I could not resist to get it. I combined it with a basic black shirt and my boyfriend style jeans. What do you think about my choice?

Now I’m going to have a healthy breakfast and then to the beach!

Tea time: Palace Hotel in Madrid

¡Buenos días desde Plentzia, un pueblo pesquero dentro de la provincia de Bizkaia!

Estoy segura de que muchos de vosotros ya habéis visto esta mañana en mis redes sociales el vídeo del madrugón que nos hemos pegado (a las 7 de la mañana ya estábamos en el puerto de Plentzia) para dar un paseo matutino llegando hasta el faro de Gorliz (Aztondo). Pero os contaré todos los detalles la semana que viene.

Hoy quiero inaugurar una nueva sección en mi blog que he querido titular “Tea Time” (o lo que es lo mismo “la hora del té”) donde cada viernes intentaré enseñaros los sitios que más me gustan para ir a tomar un café o té con amigos, familia, pareja, … tanto de Madrid como de todas las ciudades que visite. ¡Espero que os guste la idea! A mi me parece doblemente buena porque aparte de enseñaros mi look puedo mostraros lugares realmente bonitos que algunos conoceréis pero quizá otros no.

He querido empezar por estos salones en el centro del Hotel The Westing Palace de Madrid ya que desde que empecé con el blog la directora, Paloma, me ha tratado siempre con mucho cariño y me ha ayudado siempre que lo he necesitado y es sin lugar a dudas uno de los mejores hoteles de la capital, aunque para mi probablemente el mejor.

Para un momento de confidencias con amigos, familia, tu pareja, o incluso un meeting o reunión donde lo importante es ponerse al día mientras se toma un café he escogido un estilismo sencillo y muy matutino acorde con la hora del día. Llevo una camisa beige con flores bordadas, unos shorts de cuero negros con lazo en la cintura, mis bailarinas bicolor y un maxi bolso para llevar mi agenda y cuadernos ya que muchas veces estos momentos se acaban convirtiendo en reuniones de trabajo.

¡Un beso y a disfrutar del finde! (Nos os perdáis mañana un post especial sobre mi centro de belleza favorito de Madrid donde cuido mi cabello, que ya me lo habéis preguntado en muchas ocasiones).

Good morning from Plentzia, a fishing village in the province of Bizkaia!

I’m sure many of you have seen this morning on my social networks the video I’ve shared of the early morning when we woke up (at 7 am and we were at Plentzia’s port) for a morning walk arriving to Gorliz’s lighthouse (Aztondo). But I will tell you all the details on next week post.

Today I want to introduce you a new section on my blog and I wanted to headline “Tea Time” where every Friday I will try to show you the places where I like to go for a coffee or a tea with my friends, family, my couple… in Madrid and in all the cities I will visit. Hope you like the idea! It seems to me twice as good because aside from showing you my look I can show you some really nice places that you could know but maybe others that you don’t.

I wanted to start with this beautiful coffee place in the center of The Westing Palace Hotel in Madrid because since I started the blog the director, Paloma, has always treated me great and she has always helped me with everything that I needed and is without doubt one of the best hotels in the capital, but for me probably the best.

For a time of confidences with friends, family, your partner, or even a meeting where the main idea is catching up while tasting a coffee I have chosen a simple and very fresh style according to the early time of day. I was wearing a beige shirt with embroidered flowers, a black leather shorts with bow at the waist, my color blocked flats and a maxi bag to carry my schedule and notebook for those work meetings.

“El Prado” Museum

¡Hey Sábado!

De nuevo un fin de semana soleado en Madrid… ¿quién dijo otoño?

En el post de hoy os enseño una de mis zonas favoritas de Madrid: la Iglesia de Los Jerónimos que está pegada al Museo del Prado. Me gusta mucho esta Iglesia tanto por la arquitectura exterior en colores claros y mármol con su gran escalinata, como por la zona en la que se encuentra enfrente del Museo más conocido de Madrid. Es un área de obligatoria visita para turistas tanto nacionales como extranjeros. No se si sabéis que el Museo del Prado es de entrada gratuita los domingos por la tarde y es uno de los planes que más me gusta hacer a mi sobre todo esos domingos de invierno en los que no sabes qué hacer.

Para este agradable paseo escogí mis jeans negros ajustados con cortes, una camiseta negra de ‘Homies‘, una blazer de cuadros blancos y negros y unas bailarinas bicolor en blanco y negro a juego con el resto del look. El toque de color ya veis que lo pone mi bolso rojo con tachuelas.

Y para los que estéis disfrutando del partido, Real Madrid-Barcelona, ¡que gane el mejor!

Hey Saturday!

Once again a perfect sunny weekend at the city… who said Autumn?

In today’s post I show you one of my favorite parts of Madrid Los Jeronimos church that is next to the Prado Museum. I love this church not just because its exterior architecture in light colors and beige marble and its grand staircase, but for the area in which it is located just in front of the most famous museum in Madrid. It is a must go place for both national and foreign tourists. I don’t know if you already know that the Prado Museum is free entrance on Sunday afternoons and is one of the plans that I like most to do my especially those Sundays in winter when you do not know what to do with those low temperatures.

For this wonderful stroll I chose my black ripped skinny jeans, a black ‘Homies’ t-shirt a checkered blazer in black and white and my color-blocked flats in black and white too matching the rest of the look. As you can see on the pics the touch of color came with my red studded shoulder bag.

For those of you who are watching the football match, Real Madrid-Barcelona, may the best win!

Back to the roots

Nunca está de más recordar los orígenes de uno mismo, su esencia. Aunque se que muchas veces me pedís que me arriesgue un poco más a la hora de vestir y la verdad es que reconozco que a mi misma me gusta el resultado, tengo que reconocer de la misma manera que unos jeans y una camiseta o jersey básico con unas bailarinas son y serán siempre mi look estrella para mi día a día.

Por eso para dar un paseo por la playa antes de volver a Madrid escogí mis jeans de pitillo con vuelta en el bajo, mi nuevo jersey beige con tachuelas plateadas en las mangas y mis bailarinas color block a juego. Esta vez escogí varios complementos para destacar sobre un look tan básico: mis pulseras de plata de infinito, mil colgante con M de Marta, mi chapa personalizada con “it girl” y mi nuevo reloj dorado con detalles en azul pastel. Para estos viajes tan fugaces me gusta llevarme un bolso maxi para poder llevar lo que necesite en cada momento, incluyendo cómo no mi inseparable cámara de fotos.

¿No os parece un look muy simple pero estiloso para un día de diario?

It never hurts to remember the roots of oneself, the essence. Although often you ask me to risk a little bit more on my dressing and the truth is that I must recognize that many times I like the result, I have to admit in the same way that a pair of slim fit jeans and a basic shirt or jersey with some flats are and will always be my fav look for the day a day.

So for a walk along the beach before returning to Madrid I chose my skinny jeans with turn-ups at the bottom, my new beige sweater with silver studs on the sleeves and my color block flats matching the soft color. This time I opted to highlight many complements on such a basic look: my silver bracelets with the infinite symbol, my M from Marta necklace, my personalized silver tag with “it girl” and my new gold watch with pastel blue details. For these quick trips I like to take a maxi bag to carry everything I need at all times, including my inseparable camera.

Again and again

¡Buenos días! ¿Cómo va vuestra semana? La mía genial disfrutando mucho de mis vacaciones. Estos días estoy por Tarifa con mis amigas que me parece el mejor plan posible aunque dentro de poco tengo otros viajes que os iré contando…

La verdad es que para ser Tarifa está haciendo muy buen tiempo porque generalmente hacen bastante viento y por eso es una de las zonas del sur de España donde se practican más deportes acuáticos. La playa de Valdevaqueros y “El Tumbao” o “Tangana” son los chiringuitos de playa más conocidos pero también hay playas que merece la pena visitar como Punta Paloma o la playa de los Alemanes.

Bueno, analizando ya mi look de hoy he tenido que volver a recurrir a mi combinación de colores por excelencia: el blanco y negro. Este vestido que visteis que me puse la semana pasada para mi último día de trabajo en la ciudad es uno de mis favoritos. Es de una firma de diseñadores emergentes de Londres que siempre como en Top Shop de Oxford Circus en Londres. Me encantó nada más verlo porque es blanco con detalles de encaje negro en los hombros pero no se transparenta así que se puede llevar tanto para el día como para salir por las noches. Como calzado para caminar todo el día escogí mis bailarinas color block también en blanco y negro y un maxi bolso negro. Como accesorios mis brazaletes de plata con motivo infinito.

Good Morning! How’s going your week? Mine is going perfect! I’m enjoying a lot my holidays. These days I’m in a super funny trip with my friends in Tarifa, in the South os Spain. I think that is the best plan to start the holidays but I’ll be traveling to other countries soon so stay tuned…

The truth is that we are having a perfect weather for being in Tarifa because it usually does quite windy and that is one of the areas of southern Spain where most water sports are practiced. Valdevaquero’s beach and “Tumbao” or “Tangana” are the best known beach bars but there are also beaches that are worth visiting: Punta Paloma beach or the Germans beach.

Well, analyzing my look today and I had to come back again to my fav match of colors: black and white. This dress you saw me last week that I was wearing for my last day of work in the city is one of my favorites. It’s from a sign of emerging London designers that I always like and go to visit in Top Shop of Oxford Circus in London. I loved it because it is white with black lace detail on the shoulders but you can wear for both day and to go out at night because it doesn’t have transparencies As flats for walking all day I chose my color block flats also in white and a black maxi bag. As accessories my silver bracelets with my infinite design.

Lady at the city

No podía pasar una semana sin que os enseñase un look de estilo lady de los que a mi me gustan… En verano las faldas blancas son un must y además nos sirven para cualquier ocasión, tanto para el día o ir a trabajar como para salir por la noche con un zapato de tacón. Yo esta vez he optado por combinar en blanco con un top en color maquillaje con detalles de encaje en el borde a juego con la falda. Mis bailarinas favoritas, las color block en negro y beige fueron el calzado que escogí para recorrerme las calles de Madrid. Un maxi bolso siguiendo los tonos de la ropa y como accesorios un reloj tipo vintage en marrón oscuro, un par de anillos finos en dorado hoy y unos colgantes de piñas en oro y plata que claramente dieron un toque muy veraniego al estilismo (ya sabéis que las piñas están muy de moda esta temporada, os recuerdo por ejemplo ESTE post con camiseta con estampado de esta rica fruta).

Vamos a por el miércoles que ya estamos a mitad de semana…

I couldn’t spend a week without showing you some lady look like this one hehe… I like the white in summer and we all know that skirts are a must for these season because we can wear them in any occasion, for the day or to go to work or for a night out with a high heel shoe. To combine it I have chosen this time a make up color top with lace details in the edge to match the skirt. My favorite flats, the color block black and beige were the shoes I chose to stroll around Madrid’s streets. A maxi bag according with the colors of the rest of the clothes and as accessories I was wearing a vintage watch in dark brown leather, a pair of thin rings in gold today and two pineapple necklace in gold and silver that clearly got the summery styling touch (you know that pineapples are very fashionable this season, I remember you for example THIS post where I was wearing a shirt with this rich fruit printed).

Stripes over lace

¡Buenos días!

Nueva semana y como ya os he comentado la mía va a ser bastante completita, pero la superaré hehe.

Como estos días está haciendo un tiempo que ni mucho menos es el esperado en esta época del año yo he optado por llevar lago de manga larga combinado con shorts ya que en realidad ¡estamos en verano! Por eso combiné mi camiseta oversize de rayas azul marino y blancas con unos shorts negros con encaje en el borde. Como era una tarde de paseo me puse mis bailarinas color block en blanco y negro y mi maxi bolso negro para, como siempre, poder llevar todos mis must diarios. En esta ocasión opté por llevar una única joya pero que se lleva toda la atención del look: este maxi anillo de diamantes. Unas gafas de sol negras y un reloj estilo vintage también en negro completaron el outfit.

Muchas veces pensamos que combinar distintos estampados, colores que “aparentemente” no pegan o texturas completamente diferentes no es estiloso pero hoy como veis he decidido mezclar tanto rayas marineras con encaje como el azul marino con el negro, y el resultado me ha gustado, ¿a vosotros qué os parece?

Morning!

New week and a very busy one for me… but I’ll do it! hehe.

As these days the weather hasn’t been the expected for this season of the year I have chosen to wear long-sleeved shirt combined with shorts because actually it’s summer time! So I wore my oversize striped shirt in navy blue and white with a pair of black shorts with lace on the edge. It was an afternoon stroll so I chose my color block flats in black and white and my black maxi bag for, as always, bring with me all my daily musts. This time I decided to take a unique jewel but it gets all the attention of the look: this maxi diamonds ring. My black leather sunglasses and a vintage style watch in black completed the outfit.

Many times we think that combining different prints, colors that “apparently” don’t match or completely different textures is not fashionable but today as you can see I decided to mix both sailor stripes style with black lace and I really like the result, don’t you?

Floral day

Una de las cosas que más me gusta del verano es poder ponerme a diario mi colección de vestidos que utilizo indistintamente para el día o la noche. Este es uno de mis favoritos porque lleva la mezcla de dos colores muy básicos y elegantes: beige y blanco. Además la parte de arriba lleva unos volantes que son un adorno muy chic. Como también fue un día largo (para variar en mi vida) opté por ponerme zapato plano también en color block con negro y beige. Como accesorios escogí este bonito cinturón dorado con hojas hecho a medida para mi y esta corona de flores. Mis brazaletes dobles en plata y oro son el complemento perfecto para este look sencillo y muy dulce por los detalles tanto del vestido como de las flores en cintura y pelo. Un maxi bolso es imprescindible en mi día a día para poder tener a mano todo lo que necesito en cada momento.

¡Y me voy a seguir con mi súper miércoles! Iréis viendo en mis rrss todas las cositas que tengo hoy pendientes… ¡como me encanta mi trabajo me apetecen todas!

One of the things that I like most about summer time is to wear daily my collection of dresses that I use either for day or night. This is one of my favorites because it mixes two very basic and elegant colors: beige and white. Besides the top has little flyers which are a very chic detail. As it was also a long day (something strange in my life?! hehe) I decided to wear flat shoes also color block with black and beige. As accessories I chose this beautiful gold belt with golden leaves made for me and this floral headband. Double bracelets in silver and gold are the perfect jewelry to combine with the details of the dress and the flowers. A maxi bag is a must in my day to day to carry on everything I need.

And now I’m going to continue with my wednesday which is going to be a looong day as you will see on my social networks… But as I love my work I’m really happy for doing everything!
