Sentir el viento en el pelo, acariciando la piel. Inspirar. Respirar. Repetir. Dejar la mente en blanco. Disfrutar de este momento. No pensar en nada más. Estar en paz. VIVIR.

Como os he dicho muchas veces me encanta vivir en California por la cantidad de localizaciones preciosas que puedo encontrar allí pero sobre todo porque consigo tener muchos momentos de desconexión y meditación interior. Desde que lo he descubierto soy mucho más feliz porque aprendes a dar a cada problema su justa importancia y te das cuenta de que no todo es tan grave, de que pase lo que pase el mundo sigue girando, la vida continúa, y que tú tienes que seguir también.

No se si sois de las personas que cuando queréis algo lucháis hasta conseguirlo, pase lo que pase, o sin embargo pensáis que cuando algo tiene demasiados impedimentos es porque no es para vosotros. Yo he vivido a lo largo de mi vida ambas situaciones y no se por cual decantarme más. Me gusta luchar por las cosas o personas que quiero y que considero que van a sumar pero también es cierto que cada vez me doy más cuenta de que no a cualquier precio.

Como leeríamos en nuestro mítico El Quijote, “Y, diciendo esto, Don Quijote dio de espuelas a su caballo Rocinante, sin atender a las voces que su escudero Sancho le daba, advirtiéndole que sin duda alguna eran molinos de viento, y no gigantes, aquellos que iba a acometer … —¡Válame Dios! —dijo Sancho—.”

¿La locura de Don Quijote o la cordura de Sancho? Yo, sin duda alguna, me quedo con la locura del querido maestro. Y que me quiten lo bailao’.

As I have said many times I love living in California because of the number of beautiful locations that I can find there but especially because I get many moments of disconnection and inner meditation. Since I discovered it I am much happier because you learn to give each problem its just importance and you realize that not everything is so serious, that no matter what happens the world keeps turning, life keeps going, and you have to keep on walking too. 

I do not know if you are the people that when you want something you fight until you get it, whatever happens, or however you think that when something has too many impediments is because it is not for you. I have lived through my life both situations and I do not know which one I’m more likely to. I like to fight for the things or people that I want and I consider that they are going to add to my life but it is also true that every time I realize more than not at any price.

As we read in our mythical Spanish book “El Quijote”: “And saying this, Don Quijote spurred his horse Rocinante, not listening to the voices that his squire Sancho gave him, warning him that they were windmills, and not giants, those whom he was about to undertake- “” God help him, “Sancho said.”

The madness of Don Quijote or the sanity of Sancho? Me, without any doubt, the madness of the dear teacher. You Only Live Once.

“En un lugar de la Mancha de cuyo nombre no quiero acordarme…” así comienza uno de los libros más prestigiosos de nuestra literatura sino el que más, El Quijote, escrito por Miguel de Cervantes. Estoy segura de que la mayoría de vosotros os lo habréis leído porque aparte de ser un libro entretenido narrando las aventuras de un ingenioso pero algo chalado Don Quijote  junto a su lacayo Sancho Panza es también un libro de obligatoria lectura (al menos cuando yo era pequeña así era).

Como muchos ya sabréis el fin de semana pasado estuvimos por tierras manchegas conociendo un poco más de su historia y visitando a los famosos “gigantes” de Don Quijote que como veis son molinos de viento enormes. Es muy bonito verlos de cerca y que te cuenten las historias que recoge cada uno de ellos. Comimos literalmente dentro de una cueva, La Martina.

Al estar por estas tierras aprovechamos la ocasión para visitar la bodega del castillo donde dormíamos, Chateau Viñas Oro y por primera vez he realizado una cata de vinos. Si si, yo, pero bueno ha sido una experiencia muy enriquecedora y diferente. Es impresionante ver todo el proceso desde la recogida de la uva hasta el propio embotellamiento del vino y colocación de las etiquetas.

Para los días de excursión y más con el frío que hace en el interior de la Península me abrigué con un jersey de cashmere de cuello vuelto en beige, unos pantalones ajustados burdeos, unas botas camperas y un abrigo de piel de borrego marrón.

Y el domingo estaré viajando a México así que os escribiré el post del lunes desde allí y os iré contando en mis redes sociales y mi canal de Youtube todos los detalles de mi viaje. ¡No os lo perdáis! (It Girl Marta).

“Somewhere in La Mancha whose name I do not want to remember …” that’s the beginning of one of the most prestigious books of our literature, maybe the top one, ‘El Quijote’ written by Miguel de Cervantes. I’m pretty sure that many of you have read it because apart from being an entertaining book recounting the adventures of a clever but sometimes crazy Don Quixote with his servant Sancho Panza is also a must-read book (at least in my school when I was little).

As many of you already know last weekend we were in Mancha region to know a little bit more about its history and visiting Don Quijote famous ‘giants’. As you can see on the pics they were huge wind mills. It is very nice to see them up close to you and people tell you the story it tells each one. Then we literally ate inside a cave, La Martina.

Being in these lands I took the opportunity to visit the wine cellar of the castle where we were sleeping ‘Viñas Oro Chateau’ and for the first time in my life I made a wine tasting. Yes yes, me, but hey it’s been a very rewarding and different experience. It is impressive to see the whole process from grape harvest to bottling wine and label placement on each bottle.

For these trip kind of days I like to wear warm clothes to fight against the cold interior lands of our country. So I was wearing a beige cashmere turtleneck sweater, a burgundy skinny jeans, my cowboy style booties and my sheepskin coat in brown. 

And on Sunday finally we will be traveling to Mexico so I will write you Monday’s post from there. Also stay tuned to all my social networks and Youtube channel where I will be publishing all the details of my trip. Don’t miss it! (It Girl Marta).
