Y un año más llegó el día del ¿”amor”?, el día más esperado por las parejas… y desde luego por los comercios: el día de San Valentín.

¿Invento americano para vender más? Personalmente pienso que sí.

Estaba guardando estas fotos del shooting con el vestido que llevé a la premiere de ’50 sombras más oscuras’ a la que asistí aquí en Los Angeles para el día de hoy, ya que la película se estrenaba a nivel internacional el día de San Valentín.

Yo nunca he celebrado San Valentín con mi pareja de una manera especial o diferente al resto de días del año. Bien es cierto que cuando eres más joven y tienes tu primer novio/a, te hace especial ilusión que se acerquen a ti con una sorpresa, que te den un beso inesperado, que te envíen una postal con una frase de amor o un ramo de rosas rojas… y cuanto más grande y más rojas, mejor, que te lleven a cenar a un restaurante “mejor de lo habitual”, o incluso hay gente que se compromete en este día…

Todo esto está genial, pero el amor es algo que se demuestra a diario y no con cosas materiales, y eso es lo realmente difícil.

Siempre buscamos el destacar por encima de los demás, el show off, el que todos vean cuanto tenemos, cuanto nos quieren o qué felices somos (y yo la primera que lo hago a través de mis redes sociales) en vez de centrarnos en lo realmente importante que es en vivir la vida con la gente adecuada, con gente buena, de buen corazón y que nos quiera de verdad. Con personas que se alegren cuando nos pasen cosas buenas y que lloren con nosotros en los momentos no tan buenos, y que sólo quieran sumar y nunca restar. Sin envidias. Sin decir una cosa a la cara y otra diferente por detrás. Gente directa y sencilla.

Me gusta estar con gente que de una forma u otra hacen que mi corazón palpite más rápido de lo normal, que hacen que me sienta viva y feliz. Que hacen que el ‘querer’ valga la pena.

Además pienso que el amor no existe sólo es entre dos personas que se atraen y quieren como pareja. Yo siento amor infinito por muchas personas que me rodean y que quiero: por mis padres y mi hermana, por mi familia, por mis amigos, por gente que conozco desde hace años y me han demostrado que me quieren bien y otros que he conocido hace menos tiempo y que me lo han demostrado igual… Porque el alma gemela no tiene por qué encontrarse en una pareja.

En fin, después de mi reflexión en un día ‘tan especial’ como hoy, me gustaría saber qué opináis vosotros de este día. ¿Lo celebráis de alguna manera más especial? ¿Pensáis que es una estrategia comercial de las marcas?

And one more year it came the ‘love’? day, the most awaited day by couples… and of course by the shops: Valentine’s Day.

Is it just an invention to sell more? Personally I think so.

I was saving these pictures from the shooing with the dress I wore to the ’50 darker shadows’ premiere that I attended here in Los Angeles for today’s post, as the film was released internationally on Valentine’s Day.

I have never celebrated Valentine’s Day with my boyfriend in a special or different way from other days of the year. It is true that when you are younger and have your first boyfriend/girlfriend, it makes you especially happy to get a non expected kiss, to receive a postcard with a love quote, to receive a bouquet of red roses… and the bigger and redder, the better, to go to have dinner at a special restaurant “better than usual”, or even there are people who compromise on this day…

All this stuff is great, but love is something that you have to prove daily and not with material things, and that is the real difficult part of all.

We always try to be more than others, we like the show off more and more every day, that everyone can see how much we have, how much they love us or how happy we are (and I’m the first one doing it through my social networks) instead of focusing on what really matters which is to live the life with the right people, with good people with a good heart and that really love us. With people who is happy when good things happen to us and who will cry with us in the bad moments, and who only want to add in our lives. No envy. Without saying one thing to your face and a different one behind. Direct and simple people. That’s really hard to find nowadays. 

I like being with people who in one way or another make my heart beating faster than normal, that make me feel alive and happy. That make me fell worth it.

Also I think that love does not exist only between two people who are attracted and love each other as a couple. I feel infinite love for many people around me like my parents and my sister, my family, my friends, the people I’ve known for years and have shown me that they love me and others I’ve just known but in less time they have shown me the same… Because the soul mate does not have to be a couple.

Anyway, after my reflection on such a ‘special’ day as today, I would like to know what do you think about this day. Do you celebrate it in any special way? Do you think that it is a marketing strategy from the brands?

¡Hola hola desde Nueva York!

Ya estamos por aquí, con un frío la verdad que impresionante, porque según las noticias no venía una ola de frío tan fuerte desde el año 1.947, pero estamos disfrutando al máximo como siempre y como os voy contando a través de mis redes sociales.

Como sabéis estoy con mi amiga Bea que sale conmigo en estas divertidas fotos y aquí nos hemos encontrado con varias amigas bloggers también, así que ¡nos lo estamos pasando genial!

El primer día que llegamos, como ya no llegamos a tiempo de asistir a dos de los desfiles que nos habían invitado, decidimos irnos de compras… ¡muy de mujeres esto! haha. Yo hice parada obligatoria en Victoria’s Secret porque al no tenerlo en Madrid siempre me gusta poder llevarme alguna de sus cosas ya que a mi al menos me sientan muy bien.

No voy a entrar en el tema de la ropa. Evidentemente a un desfile no voy a ir con botas como las que llevo en este look por ejemplo. Claro que se puede si, pero yo no lo voy a hacer. Como me gusta enseñaros todo por eso lo hago. Podría ir al desfile con mi abrigo de pelo y no quitármelo en medio de la calle a menos 17 grados para no enseñaros lo que llevo debajo y luego acabar con fiebre como anoche, pero lo hago si, es parte de mi trabajo y se que a la mayoría os gusta y como me llevo bien con casi todos vosotros y me hacéis muy feliz por apoyarme todos los días y dejarme comentarios tan bonitos pues lo hago muy alegremente. A los desfiles vamos en taxi del hotel al sitio y del sitio al hotel, y luego ya nos recorremos la ciudad con looks como este, abrigados, y yendo en metro.

Mañana os cuento el primer día de desfiles que hemos tenido.

¡Que paséis un buen domingo y día de San Valentín! Que como dije ayer, es el día del AMOR. No tiene por qué ser amor de pareja, aunque así se inventase, yo celebro el amor a mi familia, a mis amigos y a todos vosotros. <3

Hello from New York City!

We’re here with a really low temperatures because according to the news it did not come a cold wave such as this one since 1947, OMG! But we are enjoying everything the same as I am telling you through my social networks.

As you know I am with my friend Bea who appears with me in these funny pictures and here we have met some other friends bloggers too, so we’re having great days!

The first day we arrived, as we no longer had time to attend two shows that invited us, we decided to go shopping… very women thing! haha. I made a mandatory stop at Victoria’s Secret store because as we do not have it in Madrid I always like to take some of their clothes as they suit me so well.

I will not get into the issue of the clothes I’m wearing. Obviously to a fashion show I will not go wearing these kind of boots. Of course you can do it if you want, there’s no dress code, but I’m not going to do it. I could have gone to the show with my fur coat and not taking it off in the middle of the street with at least 17 degrees below zero to show you what I was wearing under and then finish the day with fever at night, but I did it yes, it’s part of my work and I know that that most of you like it. One more time thank you because I’m happy for all your support, every day, and for leaving me so lovely comments. To the shows obviously we go by taxi from our hotel to the place and then to the place back to the hotel. The rest of the day then we we walk the streets or go by underground which is a quick and easy way to discover NYC.

Tomorrow I will tell you the first day of fashion shows we had.

Comienzo nueva semana aunque la verdad es que no se si lo hago con mucha fuerza o no… porque he trabajado como sabréis tanto el Sábado como el Domingo y sólo de pensar en todo lo que me queda por hacer estos días en Madrid antes de irme a Nueva York el Jueves… ¡me mareo! hahaha.

Hoy os enseño otro look de los que más me pedís que es para ir a trabajar. Las tiendas están llenas este año de vestidos de colores básicos y con cortes sencillos como este de canalé negro que llevo yo hoy. Seguro que todas tenemos un LBD (Little Black Dress) que nos lo podemos poner con un mocasín o bailarinas y vamos tan monas a la ofi. Como no voy a poder llevarme estar chaquetitas de lana a mi viaje ya que allí hace aún mucho más frío que aquí, he aprovechado estos días para ponérmelas. Esta de estampado y estilo étnico sabéis que es mi favorita por el toque burdeos que tiene que me permite jugar con accesorios en los mismos tonos, en este caso el pañuelo y el bolso. Las slippers son las que me compré en mi último viaje a NY y son de ante con forma de gatito, me gustan porque son muy originales y en accesorios siempre busco destacar justo en eso, en diseño diferente.

I start a new week although I really do not know if I do it with too much energy or not… because as you would know I worked the whole weekend, Saturday and Sunday, and if I just stop and think about all that I have to do these days in Madrid before going to New York on Thursday… I’m scared! hahaha.

Today I show you another look that you use to ask me about, is to go to work. The shops are full this year with basic dresses and simple designs like this one that I’m wearing today. I’m sure that you all have a LBD (Little Black Dress) that you can wear with blucher or flats and you will get a  cute outfit to go to your office. As I will not be able to bring with me my wool cardigans to my coming trip because there is even colder than here, I’ve decided these days to wear them. This ethnic style one is my favourite because of the burgundy that allows me to play with accessories in the same colors, in this case the scarf and my fav bag. The slippers are what I bought on my last trip to NY and are with a kitty face, I like them because they are very original and when talking about accessories I always try to wear different design to highlight my outfit.
