¡Pura vida!

Que es la forma que tienen aquí de decir prácticamente todo: hola, adios, gracias, de nada… Y a mi personalmente me encanta porque es una frase representativa de Costa Rica y da muy buen rollo cuando la escuchas, ¿o no?

Ya no se ni por qué día voy en este precioso país pero hoy os cuento otra de las maravillosas experiencias que estamos viviendo. Paseo en bote por el río San Carlos hasta llegar a la frontera entre Costa Rica y Nicaragua donde este río se une al río San Juan. Justo en la frontera paramos en un pequeño pueblo llamado Boca San Carlos donde una vez más me encantó la experiencia de poder charlar y conocer a gente espectacular como Isidro, dueño de uno de los pequeños bares, que aparece conmigo en estas fotos.

Así de felices estábamos Mónica y yo (en las fotos de abajo) justo antes de que una plaga de mosquitos saliese a pasear cuando llegó el atardecer. Ya visteis en mi Snapchat el momento: millones de mosquitos se esconden por el día en la selva pero salen por la noche y justo fue nuestro momento de volver al hotel, así que nos comimos a todos y terminamos con miles de ellos por todo el cuerpo… ahora es un divertido recuerdo pero en su momento no lo fue tanto.

De nuevo bastante calor por lo que nos aconsejaron ir en pantalón corto y cómodos, así que yo escogí unas alpargatas que luego me cambié por unas chanclas dentro del barco, unos shorts blancos con rotos y un body negro para no llevar sujetador e ir más a gusto. El sombrero es fundamental para protegernos del sol y me até un pañuelo en la mano por si en algún momento el pelo me molestaba demasiado, sujetármelo con el mismo.

Hoy estamos en otro resort llamado Río Celeste donde aprovecharé también para hacer algunas fotos y enseñároslas en cuanto pueda.

Pure Life!

That’s the way they use here to say almost everything: hello, goodbye, thank you, you’re welcome… And I personally love it because it is a representative quote of Costa Rica and it has a very good feeling when you hear it, don’t you think so?

Today I tell you another wonderful experience that we are living in this amazing country. Boat riding on San Carlos’s river until the border point between Costa Rica and Nicaragua where this river joins San Juan’s river. Right on the border line we stopped to visit a small village called Boca San Carlos where once again I enjoyed the experience of being able to talk and meet for a while great people like Isidro, owner of one of these small bars, with me in these photos.

So happy were Monica and I (on the pics too) just before a plague of mosquitoes come out for a walk in the sunset. Guess you saw it all in my Snapchat: millions of mosquitoes hide during the day in the jungle but come out at night and that was our time to go back to the hotel, so we ate many of them all and we ended up with thousands of them all over our bodies… it is now a fun memory but at that moment it wasn’t so funny.

One more day we were advised to go as comfortable as possible so I chose my espadrilles that then I changed it to flip-flops inside the boat, white ripped shorts and a black body without bra to go even more comfy. The hat is essential to protect from the sun here and I tied a handkerchief on my hand just in case my hair bothers me, to make a quick tie with it. 

We are now in another resort called Rio Celeste where I will also take the opportunity to take some photos today to show you as soon as possible.

Bueno…

Se que estáis deseando que os cuente un poquito más acerca de mi finde en Italia, hehe.

En primer lugar muchas gracias por tantos mensajes, mails y comentarios bonitos que me habéis enviado, me encanta que os guste verme feliz y una parte importante de mi felicidad sois vosotros con estos mensajes, ¡se os quiere!

Bueno, el viernes salí de Madrid con destino a Milán para pasar unos días de relax con una persona ‘especial’ por ahora que ha llegado a mi vida. No nos quedamos ahí sino que nos fuimos a una bonita casa situada en un pueblecito cercano a Verona, Valeggio sul Mincio, a pasar el fin de semana. Las fotos de hoy las tomamos en el jardín exterior de la casa, que muchos visteis en mi Snapchat. Mirad qué maravillosas vistas… estoy deseando volver.

Por fin pude realmente desconectar de mi ritmo de trabajo diario y despejar la mente, pensar, plantearme nuevos retos que siempre he querido hacer, pasármelo bien, conocer a gente maravillosa y ser muy feliz.

Pienso que las cosas inesperadas de la vida son las que nos mantienen vivos…

Para un día nublado como este escogí comodidad ante todo pero con una de mis prendas favoritas para este invierno: esta capa de cuadros azules, burdeos y blancos con detalles de terciopelo en las mangas y en el cuello. ¿Os gusta? A mi me volvió loca desde que la vi así que me la vais a ver mucho… Como quería centrar toda la atención en ella la combiné con una camiseta en blanco roto y unos vaqueros ajustados de pitillo. Mis zapatillas Stan Smith doradas son de la edición limitada que se hizo para Footlocker que me lo habéis preguntado muchos.

Y ahora vamos a seguir a tope con la semana que tengo muchísimo trabajo acumulado…

Morning babes!

I know you’re wanting to know a little bit more about my weekend in Italy, hehe.

First of all I want to thank you all so much for your lovely messages, mails and nice comments you sent me, I love that you like to see me happy and a big part of my happiness is for you and these messages, so I really love you guys!

Well, last Friday I left Madrid to Milan to spend a few days relaxing with a ‘special’ person that has come into my life. We did not stay there because we went to a nice house in a village near Verona, Valeggio sul Mincio, to spend the whole weekend. We took hese pictures in the garden outside the house, you saw many of them in my snapchat. Look how wonderful views… I can not wait to come back.

I finally could disconnect of my daily rhythm, my work and clear my mind, think, try to figure out new challenges I have always wanted to do, have fun, meet wonderful people and be very happy.

I think that unexpected things in life are the things that keep us alive… 

For a cloudy day like this I chose as always a comfy outfit with one of my favorite pieces for this coming winter: this chequered cape in blue, burgundy and white with velvet details on the sleeves and around the neck. Do you like it? I went crazy when I first saw it so you are going to see me wearing it many times… As I wanted to focus all the attention on it I combined it with a basic beige shirt and my ripped skinny jeans. My Stan Smith sneakers in gold are the limited edition that was made for Footlocker, for all of you who have asked me about.

And now let’s continue with another working day, I have so much work to do so let’s do it!

Día dos con un nuevo look desde París… y yo ya estoy cerrando la maleta para volver a Madrid.

La verdad es que me ha costado mucho decidir dónde hacer las fotos todos estos días porque cada calle, esquina, puerta… tiene encanto en esta ciudad, ¡todo me gusta! pero no podía irme sin tomarme alguna foto con la impresionante Catedral de Notre Dame, que podéis ver al fondo de estas imágenes.

Es increíble que un río como el Sena atraviese esta preciosa ciudad y la divida con este tipo de arquitectura de estilo vintage que a mi sabéis que me encanta y que se remonta a finales del siglo XVIII cuando Georges-Eugène, más conocido como Barón Haussmann comenzó a renovar la ciudad del amor hasta convertirla en lo que vemos hoy. De ahí que se diga que la mayoría de los edificios son de estilo “haussmanniano”.

Y gracias a mis amigos que trabajan en la flagship store de Ralph Lauren de París pude hacerme algunas fotos dentro de este antiguo palacete. ¿Os imagináis entrar a comprar en una tienda como esta? Además tiene un patio central como veis con un restaurante muy exclusivo donde ponen las mejores hamburguesas que he probado, son un poco caras si, pero merece la pena ya que la carne viene directamente desde el rancho que él mismo tiene en Estados Unidos.

Y para terminar hablemos de mi estilismo de hoy. Para sobrevivir a otro caluroso día en París escogí esta vez un look muy casual con una camiseta con mensaje en rosa, shorts vaqueros y zapatillas.

Day two with a new look from Paris… and I’m finishing packing my suitcase to fly back to Madrid.

The truth is that it has been so hard to decide where to take the photos all these days because every street, corner, door, building … has charm in this city, I like everything! but I could not leave Paris without taking some photos with the impressive Cathedral of Notre Dame, which you can see at the background of these images.

It’s amazing that a river like the Seine passes through this beautiful city and divide it in two parts with this architecture, vintage style, that you know I love and dating back to the late XVIII century when Georges-Eugène, better known as Baron Haussmann began to renew the city of love to turn it into what we can see today. Because of this it is said that most of the buildings are “haussmannian” style.

And thanks to my friends who work in the Ralph Lauren flagship store here in Paris I could take some pics inside this ancient palace. Can you imagine going shopping in a store like this? It also has a central courtyard as you can see with a very exclusive restaurant where they offer you the best burgers I’ve ever tried, they are a little bit expensive yes, but they worth it because the meat comes directly from the ranch that he has in the United States.

And finally let’s talk about today’s styling. To survive another hot day in Paris this time I chose a casual look with a pink shirt with message, denim shorts and white sneakers.

¡Primer post de mi viaje a Lisboa! Y primer día con 29 años… pero me siento mejor que nunca esa es la verdad. Creo que todo es una cuestión de mentalidad, de espíritu, y pienso que este año van a suceder muchas cosas buenas…

Aunque os dije que me había comentaod que era una ciudad de las más bonitas de Europa no sabía que me iba a gustar tanto… Me he enamorado completamente de sus calles empedradas, de cada rincón con edificios antiguos y fachadas de tejas y azulejos de colores, de sus calles cuesta arriba y cuesta abajo que me recuerdan a San Francisco, de las vistas desde casi cualquier parte de la ciudad al río Tajo que la atraviesa… y en general de ese skyline lleno de colores pastel (rosas, amarillos, azules…) que se entremezclan con edificios antiquísimos y zonas verdes.

Estas fotos las hicimos en el mirador que se encuentra en el parque Eduardo VII en el centro de la ciudad. La plaza que veis al fondo es una de las más importantes, Marqués de Pombal.

Una vez más escogí un look cómodo y sencillo para poder ‘patearme’ cada rincón de Lisboa. Llevo una gabardina marrón estilo oversize con una camiseta muy original con la cara de Kate Moss con complementos muy coloridos. Debajo unos jeans oscuros rotos, mis sneakers y por fin visteis en las fotos de mis redes sociales dónde está mi nuevo tattoo: en el pie izquierdo por la parte de atrás, una cruz pequeña, ¿os gusta? Un maxi bolso y unas gafas de sol son imprescindibles para estos días de turismo.

Para los que me lo preguntasteis nos hospedamos en el Hotel Double Tree by Hilton, Fontana Park, que está muy céntrico, donde sus instalaciones y habitaciones tiene una buenísima relación calidad-precio.

First post about my last trip to Lisbon! And my first day with 29 years… but I feel better than ever that’s the truth. I think everything is a matter of mentality, spirit, and I think this year will happen many good things to me…

Although I said that I had heard that Lisbon was one of the most beautiful cities in Europe I did not know that I would like it so much… I’ve fallen in love absolutely with its cobbled streets, every corner with old buildings and facades of tiles and colourful tiles, its streets uphill and downhill that remind me of San Francisco streets, the views from almost anywhere in the city over the Tagus river that runs through it… and in general all the skyline filled with pastel colors  buildings (in soft pink, yellow , blue…) that are mixed with old buildings and park and green areas.

These photos were made in the gazebo located in the Parque Eduardo VII in the center of town overlooking the river. The square you see at the end, in the background, is one of the most important in this city, Marqués de Pombal.

Once again I chose a casual and simple look to ‘hit’ every corner of Lisbon. I’m wearing a brown trench coat oversize style with an original t-shirt with the face of Kate Moss wearing very colorful accessories. Under I chose my dark ripped jeans, my white sneakers and finally as you already saw in the pictures of my social networks here is my new tattoo: on the left foot back, a small cross, do you like it? A maxi bag and sunnies are essential for these days of tourism.

And to all of you that asked me about where we stayed, we were hosted at the Fontana Park Hotel Double Tree by Hilton, which is very central and rooms have a very good value according to the prices.

Viernes… y no lo digo muy contenta porque sigo teniendo problemas con el nuevo servidor del blog, espero que por fin se solucione todo pronto.

El tea time de esta semana lo tomé en el Hotel Carlton de Bilbao que es uno de los hoteles más bonitos y emblemáticos de la ciudad. Como podéis ver en las fotos está situado en una de las plazas principales con el edificio de Iberdrola de frente y muy cerca del Museo Guggenheim. Después de tomar un desayuno exquisito con pastelería y bollería de alta calidad fuimos a dar un último paseo por la orilla del río antes de acudir al partido de fútbol. ¿Os gusta mi nueva mascota gigante? hehehe. Este “puppy” es la bonita mascota de la ciudad (un perrito gigante) y como veis se encuentra en la puerta del Museo y está exclusivamente elaborado con flores de colores y plantas, ¡a mi me encanta! Pero por otra parte me asusté con su compañera, esta araña gigante de metal… Por último reconozco que me enamoré de las vistas desde la orilla del río con esas casas de arquitectura elegante y desde mi opinión incluso de estilo colonial contrastando con el bonito color rojizo de las hojas de los árboles… huele a otoño!

Como el tiempo sabéis que nos acompañó todo el fin de semana simplemente me puse un jersey de lana verde de cuello vuelto, unos jeans negros, un sombrero y mis botas estilo cowboy.

Friday again… and I can’t say that I’m very happy because I’m still having problems with the new server blog, hopefully  everything will be resolved soon.

I had the tea time of this week at the Carlton Hotel in Bilbao which actually is one of the most beautiful and emblematic hotels of the city. As you can see in the pictures is located in one of the main squares with the Iberdrola building in front and close to Guggenheim Museum. After taking a delicious and high quality pastry and bakery for breakfast we went for a last walk along the river before going to the football match. Do you like my new giant pet? hehehe. This “puppy” is the mascot of the city and as you can see in the pics is cute super big dog just at the door of the museum and is exclusively made with colorful flowers and plants, I love it! But then I got scared with her partner, the giant metal spider… Finally I do admit that I absolutely fell in love with the views from this side of the river with that elegant architecture of the houses and in my opinion even colonial style contrasting with the beautiful reddish color of the leaves on the trees… feels like Autumn! 

As you know the weather where so well all the weekend so I just was wearing a turtleneck green wool sweater, my black ripped jeans, a hat and my cowboy style booties.

Haber conocido una nueva ciudad italiana, y más Turín, ha sido de las cosas que más me han gustado de mi último viaje. Conozco muchas ciudades de este país y realmente pensaba que Turín iba a ser “una más” pero me ha sorprendido muy gratamente. Los edificios bajos tipo en colores pastel y beige, tantos arcos por donde pasan coches y peatones, los tranvías recorriendo de punta a punta la ciudad, innumerables jardines, el Palacio Real, las plazas enormes con terrazas al aire libre para degustar sus exquisitos “gelatos”… Me ha enamorado mucho más que cualquier otra ciudad que había conocido hasta ahora de esa zona. Uno de los paseos obligatorios es caminar al borde del río Po donde encontraréis puentes como este. Tranquilidad y un paisaje fabuloso es lo que encontré durante varias horas de “caminata” hasta terminar en la Torre  Mole Antonelliana que se ve a lo lejos en algunas de las fotos.

Para este día de paseo escogí una falda larga en tono rosa maquillaje combinada con un crop top vaquero envejecido atado a la cintura. Como calzado me puse mis sneakers plateadas que me compré allí y quería estrenarlas cuanto antes. El bolso morado es el toque más colorido del look junto con el reloj blanco con detalles en colores pastel. Y cómo no maxi gafas de sol para un día soleado.

Discovering a new Italian city, Turin has been one of the things that I liked more on my last trip. I’ve already visited many cities in this country and I really thought that Turin would be “one more” but it surprised me. The beige and pastel colors low buildings, a city full of arches through which pass cars and people, trams traveling from one side to another of the city, many different gardens, the wonderful Royal Palace, the huge squares with terraces to enjoy their delicious “gelato “… I have fallen in love with this city more than any other italian one. One of the required strolls  is to walk by the side of the Po river where you will find bridges like this one on the pics. Calm and a fabulous scenery is what I found for some hours walking to end up in the Mole Antonelliana Tower which you can see in the distance in some of the pics.

For this strolling day I chose a long skirt in makeup pink combined with a denim washed effect crop top tied at the waist. I wore my new silver sneakers that I bought there and I wanted to release them asap. The purple bag gave the color touch to the look with the white watch with pastel details. Of course maxi sunglasses for a sunny day.

¡Buenos días!

Ya estamos a jueves y no queda nada para otro fin de semana soleado, ¡yuhu!

Hoy os traigo un MEGA post con muchas fotos de las dos ciudades que más me gustaron de Bélgica: Brujas y Gante.

Brujas está a una hora aproximadamente en tren desde la Estación Central de Bruselas. El billete cuesta unos 8€ por persona que (yo lo saqué al 50% por ser fin de semana). Es una ciudad  tiene mucho encanto por los canales que la recorren, las amplias zonas verdes, las grandes universidades, sus plazas para comer al aire libre,… es un lugar muy turístico con calles de adoquines y casas bajas donde la gente es realmente hospitalaria.

Gante es parecido pero tengo que reconocer que a mi me ha gustado tanto que pienso volver para conocerlo más a fondo. Está a una media hora de la Estación Central de Bruselas y el billete cuesta unos 10€. Es una ciudad llena de canales más amplios que los de Brujas y donde todos los edificios son diferentes: en colores, en materiales, en diseño… Eso sí, la mayoría tienen el tejado en pico por las lluvias. Me enamoré de todas sus zonas porque me parece como un pueblo de cuento, parece que las casas son de papel y si las tocas se caen. Tanto colorido y todo en tan buen estado realmente me fascinó. Además tiene mucha historia porque de hecho el propio Carlos I se quedaba allí en uno de sus castillos con algunas de sus novias…

Si algunos tenéis viaje express no os preocupéis porque perfectamente podríais ir a Brujas por la mañana y a la vuelta parar en Gante, da tiempo de sobra a visitar los principales lugares de ambas ciudades.

Y para esta excursión de día entero escogí mis vaqueros negros rotos combinados con una camisa muy veraniega de estampado floral. Los botines de ante en beige grisáceo para ir cómoda para tantos paseos pero que le daban al look un aire mucho más moderno.

Good morning!

It’s Thursday and tomorrow friday and time for another sunny weekend, yiha!

Here you have a SUPER post with many pics of the two most wonderful cities of Belgium (to me): Bruges and Ghent.

Bruges is about an hour by train from Brussels Central Station. The ticket costs €8 per person (I got 50% off because of a  weekend discount). It’s a very charming city with all those small canals, in the middle of the countryside, with many big universities, squares with restaurants,… It’s a very touristy place with cobblestone streets and low houses where people are really friendly.

Ghent is similar but I have to admit that I liked it so much and for sure I’ll come back to visit it more days. It’s about a half an hour from the Brussels Central Station and the ticket costs about €10. It’s a city full of big canals and where all the buildings are different: in colors, materials, design… Of course they have the roof peak because of the rains. It really has many interesting stories because actually Carlos I was there in his castle with some of his girlfriends. It seems that the houses are made of paper and if you touch them they fall. Both colorful and everything in such good condition really fascinated me.

If you don’t have many days to visit Belgium don’t worry because you can perfectly visit Bruges and Ghent in the same day, going in the morning to Bruges which is further and making a stop in Ghent when you come back, you will have time to visit the main places of both cities.

And for this complete excursion day I chose my ripped black jeans combined with a summer style floral print shirt. The gray suede boots to go comfortably around the parks and  cobblestone streets and they gave the look a more modern touch.
