¡Buenos días!

Una de las cosas que más me gusta hacer cuando llega el fin de semana es escaparme de Madrid por unas horas e ir a “redescubrir” lugares típicos y con encanto que tenemos cerca de la capital.

El fin de semana pasado visteis que estuve en el Palacio Real de Aranjuez. Desde luego es una excursión obligatoria porque el Palacio por dentro es precioso y se visitan más de 30 salas diferentes por sólo 9€. Es muy impactante el contraste de colores de terciopelo en las cortinas y paredes de las habitaciones (verde, rojo y dorado que son colores muy típicos de la realeza) con salas de estilo mozárabe (“salas de fumar”) o salas adornadas enteras con esculturas de porcelana, ¡incluso las paredes! Sus majestuosas escaleras centrales con barandillas doradas, los carruajes y equipajes que utilizaban antaño… y por supuesto los trajes de novia que lucieron en sus respectivas bodas la que fuese reina, Sofía, y la actual reina de nuestro país, Letizia.

No es menos asombroso el paseo por los jardines siguiendo el camino del río hasta llegar a las falúas reales (los barcos en los que reyes, príncipes y princesas y, en general la clase alta salían a pasear los días que el tiempo lo permitía). Todas ellas fabricadas en madera pero cuidando hasta el último detalle: escudos identificativos, ángeles, sirenas, … se mezclaban de nuevo con terciopelos y borlas de hilo dorado.

Además en Aranjuez confluyen dos importantes ríos: el Tajo y el Jarama. Es precioso ver la vegetación que surge a ambos lados de estos y se puede pasear y comer a orillas del río comida típica en restaurantes de toda la vida.

En esta ocasión escogí un look muy sencillo compuesto por unos vaqueros de cintura alta, una camiseta de rayas y un abrigo y botas negras. El sombrero sabéis que es un must para mi en este tipo de excursiones otoñales.

Morning people!

One of the things that I like most when the weekend arrives is to get away from Madrid for a few hours and go to “rediscover” typical and charming places near the capital. It really makes me disconnect of my working week. 

Last weekend you saw that we visited the Royal Palace of Aranjuez. Of course it is a mandatory trip because the Palace is beautiful inside and you can see over 30 different rooms for just €9 per person. It is amazing the contrast of colors of the velvet curtains and walls of the rooms (green, red and gold colors which are very typical of royalty) the Moorish-style rooms (“smoking rooms”) or complete rooms adorned with china porcelain, even the walls! Its majestic central staircase with golden railings, the carriages and baggage they used at those days… and of course the wonderful wedding dresses that our last Queen Sofia, and the current Queen of Spain, Letizia, wore on their respective weddings.

It’s also amazing to walk through the gardens along the river road until you reach the old barges (ships in which kings, princes and princesses and generally the upper class went for a walk when the weather allowed it). All of them made of wood but taking care even of the slightest details: identification shields, angels, mermaids, … mixed again with velvet and gold thread tassels.

Also in Aranjuez is the confluence of two important rivers: the Tajo and Jarama. It’s lovely to see the vegetation that arises on both sides of them and you can walk and eat on the banks of the river typical Spanish food in traditional restaurants.

This time I chose a very simple look with a pair of high waisted jeans, a striped shirt and a black coat and boots. The hat is a must to me in this kind of autumnal road trips.

¡Buenos días de viernes!

You Only Live Once o lo que es lo mismo “sólo se vive una vez”… así que a aplicarse el cuento y vivir cada día intensamente pero siempre respetando y sin hacer daño a los demás.

Como estoy recuperándome poco a poco de la operación que os comenté no tengo mucha energía para salir a la calle ni para arreglarme demasiado, así que hoy os traigo un outfit muy cómodo y sencillo. Tampoco llevo maquillaje porque no me gusta usarlo todos los días en verano y además para salir un rato a la calle no es necesario.

Las camisetas con mensaje sabéis que son de mis favoritas sobre todo cuando dicen frases tan directas y ciertas como la de hoy. Por eso combiné esta en blanco y negro que es tipo crop top con unos jeans de cuello alto y doble vuelta en el tobillo. Como me puse mi maxi bolso marrón escogí como calzado mis slippers con estampado de leopardo para ir a juego con los colores. Mis pulseras XL de infinito en lisa y doble que ya no me quito porque opino que combinan con cualquier estilismo. Ya os digo que este es un look muy sencillo y cómodo para el día a día porque todavía tengo que continuar con un poco de reposo un par de días más…

Hello friday!

You Only Live Once… so live your life intensely every day but always being respectful and loving others.

As I’m slowly recovering from the operation that I told you I haven’t a lot of energy to go out and to be out of home the whole day, so today I show you a very comfortable and simple outfit. I’m not wearing makeup because I don’t like to use it every day in summer and to go for a stroll it isn’t necessary.

You already know how much I like T-shirts with message especially when they say true words and direct sentences as today’s. So I combined this in black and white crop top type with my high waisted jeans. As I chose my brown maxi bag  I opted also for my slippers with leopard print to match the colors of the bag. My XL infinite silver bracelets that I think I can combined with any style. As I said this is a very easy and comfortable outfit for everyday because I still have to  rest a couple of days to recover completely…

Yo ya he sacado de mi fondo de armario la mayoría de mi ropa de verano y estaba claro que no podían faltar mis colores favoritos para esta época del año como son el coral o el aguamarina. Hoy se lleva el protagonismo este último. Aunque la blazer en azul turquesa es del año pasado fue sin duda una de mis prendas estrella del verano y lo será también de este. Es cómoda por ser corta y yo la combino con prácticamente cualquier tono y estampado para dar color a mis looks. Hoy me la he puesto con una camiseta en color también turquesa suave. Como parte de abajo he optado por mis jeans de cintura alta cortados donde me he dado doble vuelta en el bajo para poder lucir mis mules. Un cinturón con print de serpiente para dar un toque más clásico y diferente al outifit, mi bolso en aguamarina y el reloj en los mismos tonos de la camiseta han sido mis accesorios escogidos.

Disfrutad del puente los que tengáis la suerte de haberlo cogido.

I have already taken from my wardrobe most of my summer clothes and many of them where in my fav season colors such as coral and aquamarine. Today it’s all about aquamarine complements.

Although this turquoise blazer is from the last year it was definitely one of my must summer clothes and this season it will also be. It’s comfortable because it’s short and I can combine it with almost everything no matter the colors or the prints. Today I’m wearing it with a soft turquoise tee. I chose my high waisted ripped jeans with a pair of laps in the hem of the pants to highlight my black mules. A snake print belt to give the classic and different touch to the outfit  my aquamarine bag and my watch in the same tones of the shirt have been my chosen accessories.
