Nunca me hubiera imaginado encontrarme un safari en medio de Malibú… pero este tipo de cosas son las que te sorprenden de Estados Unidos, que todo es posible.

Cuando nos invitaron a Carlos, a Maja y a mí a visitar un safari donde nos decían que tenían cebras, lamas e incluso una jirafa, la verdad es que no nos lo pensamos dos veces… y efectivamente una vez más la realidad superó nuestras expectativas.

¡Mirad qué monada de animalitos! Y el pequeño bebé cebra acababa de nacer esa misma mañana, tenía sólo unas horas de vida… impresionante y bonita experiencia poder estar tan cerca de animales así, acariciarles, darles de comer, y sobre todo ver cómo se les cuida y quiere en este safari. Además esta excursión termina con una exquisita cata de vinos y quesos. Muchas gracias a Malibu Wine Safaris por dejarnos disfrutar de este momento y os lo recomiendo chicos si vais por esta zona.

Dicho esto, hoy quiero dedicaros unas palabras… ya que hace tiempo que no “me mojo”. Me gustaría comentar repitiendo (porque ya lo he dicho mil veces), que las personas que somos “públicas” también tenemos corazón y sentimientos. Que nuestro perfil sea público y el de otras persona cerrado no significa que esta persona tenga el derecho de criticar y hablar haciendo daño o hiriendo, ni a mí ni a nadie vamos. Respeto. Respeto es la base de cualquier relación: laboral, de amistad, de pareja… y sólo si respetamos podemos después exigir respeto nosotros.

Por otro lado e intentando no expresar demasiado mis sentimientos respecto a lo acontecido hoy en el mundo, estoy entre decepcionada y a la vez molesta. Decepcionada porque creo que el mundo se va a pique, aunque no es la primera vez que lo he comentado, y enfadada porque lo que no se puede hacer en la vida es actuar de una forma pero cuando luego se ven las consecuencias de nuestras decisiones, echarnos las manos a la cabeza. La cabeza está para pensar, y debemos pensar siempre antes de actuar para luego no tener que arrepentirnos. Espero que todo esto no desemboque en la Tercera Guerra Mundial, aunque tal y como yo lo veo parece que sí.

¿Sabéis cual es el mayor regalo que nos ha dado Dios? LA LIBERTAD.

Todos somos libres y somos los únicos responsables de nuestros actos. Es el mejor regalo que Él nos podía dar pero también el más peligroso porque no todos saben utilizarlo bien. Libertad no es creerse con derechos sobre los demás. Ejercer bien la libertad es intentar que todas las personas seamos iguales; que todos tengamos los mismos derechos y oportunidades; que no haya discriminación por el lugar de origen, por el color de la piel, o por dónde o qué se haya estudiado… Esto siempre desde mi punto de vista pero vamos espero que estéis de acuerdo conmigo. Simplemente quería hacer desde aquí mi pequeña “revelación” para los que me leáis.

Pensemos bien todo antes de hacerlo porque muchas cosas no tienen marcha atrás… No esperes cosechar espinas y luego recolectar rosas.

I would have never imagined finding a safari in the middle of Malibu in Los Angeles… but these are the kind of thing that surprises you in United States, that everything is possible.

When they invited us, Carlos, Maja and me, to visit a safari where they told us they had zebras, llamas and even a giraffe, the truth is that we did not think it twice… and indeed once again the reality was so much better than our expectations.

Look how cute animals we found! And the little baby zebra was born that morning, had only a few hours of life… impressive and beautiful experience to be so close to animals like these, touch them, feed them, and above all see how they people here take care and love them in this safari. Furthermore this excursion ends with an exquisite wine and cheese tasting. Many thanks to Malibu Wine Safaris for having us and for letting us enjoy this special moment. I do recommend you to visit it if you pass through this area.

Said that, today I want to dedicate you a few words… since I have not “get wet” for a long time… I would like to start  by repeating one more time (because I have already said it a thousand times before), that people who are “public” like me also have heart and feelings. The fact that our profile is public and other ones are privates does not mean that this person has the right to criticize and to hurt us with bad words, neither to me or to anybody all around the world. Respect, please. Respect is the basis in any relationship: work, friendship, couple… and only if we respect others then we can ask for respect too.

On the other hand and trying not to express so much my feelings about what happened today in the world, I am between disappointed and angry right now. Disappointed because I think the world is going from bad to worse, although it is not the first time that I say it, and angry because what we can’t do in life is to act in a way but when don’t pay attention to the consequences of our decisions. Don’t cry or be surprised. The head is to think, and we must always think before acting so then we don’t have to repent. I hope all this does not lead into the Third World War, although that’s what it seems to me now.

Do you know what’s the greatest gift God has given to us? FREEDOM.

We are all free and we are the ones responsible of our actions. It is the best gift He could give us but also the most dangerous because not everyone knows how to use it well. Freedom is not believing that you have more rights than others. To exercise freedom well is to fight for equality; to fight for all having the same rights and opportunities; to fight against discrimination based on the country you were born, the color of your skin, or where or what have you studied… This is always from my point of view but I hope that today you will agree with me. I simply wanted to make from here my little “revelation” for those of you who read me.

Let’s think about everything before doing it because many things don’t have a return or a solution… Do not expect to reap thorns and then collect roses.

Y entonces un día te levantas con ganas de comerte el mundo. Con una sonrisa de oreja a oreja. En paz. Orgulloso de todo lo que has conseguido y de todo lo que está por llegar. Y te ves guapo, y comienzas el día con el guapo subido. Porque la belleza no sólo está en el exterior, sino que la importante es la de dentro. Y te convences a ti mismo de que nadie puede pararte en la persecución de tus sueños, sólo Dios y sus planes para ti. Y te das cuenta de que es mejor ir con una sonrisa por la vida antes que vivir amargado.

Así me he levantado yo hoy. Y ojalá que todos los días fuesen iguales. Ojalá que confiásemos más en nosotros mismos y en nuestras posibilidades. Ojalá que nos ayudásemos unos a otros y nos alegrásemos de lo bueno que consiguen los demás. Se que esto suena a utopía, pero también de ilusiones se vive y a mí me motiva esto en mi día a día. Y vosotros sois una parte muy muy importante de mi felicidad, gracias a todos.

Después de mi reflexión del día os dejo con mi look de hoy. Aunque soy muy fan de los pantalones pitillo y los boyfriend o mum, también me gusta cambiar de estilo con los pantalones de campana. Estos en concreto, que son anchos y deshilachados abajo me encantaron y me los he puesto esta vez con una camisa blanca de algodón y detalles en color camel.

And suddenly one day you wake up wanting to take it all. With a big smile from ear to ear. In peace. Proud of everything you’ve got and everything that it is yet to come. And you look handsome, and you start the day thinking that you are handsome yes, why not? Because beauty is not only outside but inside, which is more important. And you convince yourself that no one can stop you in pursuing your dreams, only God and his plans for us. And you realize that it is better to go with a smile every day rather than living sad.

This is how I have woken up today. And I wish every day were the same. We should really trust more in ourselves and our possibilities. Hopefully we can help each other and be happy for the good things that happen to others. I know this may sounds like an utopia, but we also live from illusions and this motivates me in my day a day. And you are a very important part of my happiness, thank you all. 

After today’s reflection I show you now today’s look. Although I am a big fan of skinny jeans and boyfriend or mum ones, I also like to change this style and wear flared pants. These ones in particular in denim I loved them for the design and I have combined them with a white cotton shirt and camel coloured accessories.

Último post de mi viaje a Valencia.

No podía terminar el viaje sin un look más arreglado y formal. Esta camisa me la habéis visto en varias fotos y vídeos de mis redes sociales pero todavía no habíamos realizado ningún shooting con ella… hasta hoy. Aparte de que me encantan las rayas, creo que al llevar azul y blanco es muy fácil de combinar con todo tipo de prendas: desde shorts en cualquier color a pantalones largos o de campana como los míos de hoy, jeans, incluso con unos jeans negros rotos puede dar un juego muy casual. Pronto os la enseñaré con otras opciones.

Decidí atarme un jersey azul marino de cashmere a la cintura porque por las noches las temperaturas bajaban ligeramente. Opté por mis pantalones de campana blancos para ir adaptándome poco a poco a esta nueva tendencia que ya os conté que me encanta que esté de vuelta porque demuestra una vez más que la moda es cíclica. Como calzado para no arrastrar el pantalón escogí mis sandalias abiertas o ‘mules‘ negras con dos tiras. Sencillas y cómodas para caminar un rato largo… Un bolso en estampado ‘damier‘ junto con mi reloj de acero y dorado de esfera azul marino y mi colgante de corazón de plata y oro rosa fueron mis accesorios.

Hoy tengo un día largo en Barcelona… Me voy un rato a la playa antes de una comida muy especial, un desfile, un par de reuniones, un evento de calzado y una cena. Además al final vuelvo a Madrid mañana por la noche para aprovechar allí el finde de trabajo, ¡que tenemos muchas sorpresas pendientes que os queremos poder contar cuanto antes!

Last post on my trip to Valencia.

I could not finish this travel without showing you a more elegant and formal look. I’m wearing this striped shirt that you already have seen me in many pictures and videos on my social networks but not yet in any shooting for the blog… until today. Besides I love the stripes, I think that this combination of colors, blue and white, is very easy to combine with all kinds of clothes, from shorts in any color to pants or flared pants like mine today, jeans, and even with some black  ripped jeans you can get a very casual and trendy styling. Soon I’ll show you other options.

I decided to tie at my waist a navy blue cashmere sweater because at night temperatures dropped slightly. I chose my white flared pants once again to go slowly adapting myself to this new trend that I told you that I really like to have it back because it proves once again that fashion is cyclical. To don’t drag the pants I chose my open sandals or ‘mules’ in black with two strips. Simple and comfortable to walk a long time… A shoulder bag with ‘damier’ print, my steel and gold watch with navy blue sphere and my heart necklace in silver and pink gold were my accessories.

And I have a long a busy day today in Barcelona… I’m going to the beach for a couple of hours before a special meal, a bridal show, a couple of meetings, a footwear opening and a dinner. Furthermore finally I will return to Madrid tomorrow night to spend there the weekend working, we have many outstanding surprises that we just can’t wait to show you, so stay tuned!

Estaba bastante claro que uno de los primeros looks que os iba a enseñar con mis nuevos pantalones de campana negros iba a estar combinado con el blanco… ¿no?

Ya sabéis que es mi combinación favorita de colores y pienso que para un día de trabajo es una buena opción llevar unos pantalones de campana con algo de tacón y una simple camisa o camiseta blanca con una blazer.

Yo hoy en concreto he optado por ponerme una camiseta porque así rompía con el toque elegante que aporta la blazer tipo crop estilo chanel. ¿Cuántas veces os he comentado que me encantan las camisetas o accesorios con mensajes? El de hoy desde luego no puede ser más claro: “tú”. En el pecho izquierdo. Cerquita del corazón. ¡Me encanta! Si, es cierto que soy cada vez más fan de la ropa muy sencilla y simple porque ya sabéis que pienso que no por mucho recargar un look o llevar estampados imposibles vamos mejor vestidos… por eso me gusta tener camisetas sencillas y básicas que me sirvan para todo pero que tengan ese ‘algo’ que las haga diferentes, no la típica que podemos encontrar en cualquier tienda.

Como calzado y para no ir arrastrando los pantalones decidí estrenar por fin mis nuevas sandalias negras de charol. Y como estoy deseando que llegue ya el veranito yo voy sumando poco a poco a mis looks complementos claros. Hoy es el turno de mi nuevo bolso bandolera en blanco. Me encantan este tipo de bolsos porque son cómodos al llevarlos de lado, el diseño es original y no quedan grandes para mi cuerpo y sobre todo porque me cabe todo lo que tengo que llevar a diario. Para terminar de completar el look llevo reloj de piel negro con detalles dorados a juego con el cinturón con letras XL doradas.

It was absolutely clear that one of the first looks that I was going to show you with my new black flared pants black would be combined with white color… right?

You know that’s my favorite color combination of all times and I think that for a working day is a good choice to wear these kind of flared pants with some heels and a simple shirt or t-shirt in white with a blazer over. 

Today I’ve chosen a white t-shirt to break with the elegant touch provided by the crop type chanel style black blazer. And how many times have I said to you that I do love the shirts and accessories with good messages? Today’s certainly can not be clearer: “you”. On the left chest. Close to my heart. Love it! Yes, it is true that I’m becoming a super fan of simple and easy to wear clothes because you know that I think that it is not necessary to recharge a look or to wear impossible prints to go well dressed… so I like to have simple and basic tees like this on my closet but have that ‘something’ that makes them different, not the typical ones. 

As shoes and to avoid going dragging my pants I finally decided to wear my new black leather sandals. And since I’m already looking forward summer time I¡m slowly adding to my looks light colors on my complements. Today is the turn of my new shoulder bag in white. I love these kind of bags because they are comfortable to carry on the body, the design is original and they are not so big for my body and especially because I can carry everything I have to wear everyday with me. To complete the look I’ve chosen a black leather watch with gold accents to match the belt with XL golden letters.

¿Quién me iba a decir a mi que después de años peleándome con mi madre para que me comprase los modernos pantalones de campana cuando tenía unos 18 años (más conocidos como “barre suelos” para ella) se iban a volver a poner de moda más de 10 años después?

Pues si amigos, así es la moda, es cíclica como bien dicen los expertos y es que ¡todo vuelve! por eso es mejor que las prendas que más nos gusten o en las que hallamos invertido más no las tiremos y mejor las “realicemos”… ¡que nunca se sabe!

Ahora me rio pero en su momento no me hacía ninguna gracia que mi madre no entendiese que esos pantalones se llevaban y que yo también tenía que tenerlos claro, ¿no os pasó esto también a vosotras? Y qué queréis que os diga… me costó adaptarme a los pantalones de pitillo después de tanta campana, y cuando por fin lo hago y se convierten en un must have para mi día a día ahora ¿vuelve los ‘flared pants’? Pues nada… yo he decidido empezar poco a poco con este modelo que me he comprado en los dos colores básicos por excelencia: blanco y negro.

Hoy he combinado este modelo blanco con unas cuñas de madera para caminar cómoda y sobre todo no arrastrarlos y con bolso y camisa vaquera en estampado étnico azul, ¿qué opináis de mi propuesta?

If only just one year ago you would tell me that flared pants would become again fashionable I would believe you! After years fighting with my mom to buy me those modern flared pants (known as “sweeps floors” for her) when I was around 18 years old, they went back into fashion over 10 years later, wtf?

But guys, as we all know fashion is cyclical as also the experts admit, so everything will be back soon or later! So my advise to you is to keep your most beloved clothes or the most expensive ones because you would never know when you will again need them… 

Now it is so funny to me tom remember it but when I was a teenager I was so angry with my mother because she did not understand that these pants I wanted to wore were completely trendy and that I had to wear them, didn’t this also happen to you? And the truth is that it was difficult to me to adapt to the skinny pants after all these elephant kinda pants  and when I finally do it and they become a must have for my day a day now what happen with the ‘flared pants’? Hahaha… Well, so I decided to start with this simple and easy to wear model that I bought in the two basic colors: black and white.

Today I have combined this white model with my wooden wedges to can go walking comfy and shoulder bag in klein blue with an ethnic print denim shirt on top, what do you think about my proposal?
