Segundo post desde la Gran Manzana.

Aunque las Fashion Weeks consistan en ir vestidos lo más extravagantes y diferentes a lo normal posible (o lo más hortera en muchas ocasiones), también hay días en los que a mí personalmente me apetece vestirme más casual y normal. Por eso esta vez opté por ponerme unos jeans ajustados con rotos combinados con mi camisa blanca con volantes y botones dorados, a juego con mis botines dorados. El toque que más me gustó y que más llama la atención del look son justo los botines y la cazadora vaquera con todas estas lentejuelas bordadas a modo de alas. Es por lo que más me preguntasteis en las redes sociales.

Los dos primeros días que pasé en Nueva York dormí en el Hotel Room Mate Grace que está súper bien ubicado en pleno Time Square, una de las zonas más bonitas y comerciales de Manhattan y que me encanta recorrer ya sea de día o de noche. Ahí os recomiendo comer en Hard Rock o en Bubba Gump, dos de los restaurantes más típicos aunque también llenos de turistas. Para el resto de la semana me cambié al Hotel 48 Lex que está muy cerca, como a 10 minutos andando, pero un poco más hacia el norte y cerca de Central Park. Me gusta estar en hoteles por esta zona porque pasear por Central Park es algo que me encanta hacer siempre que visito NY y también porque esta es la zona más “céntrica” de la isla. Hacia el Norte está el parque y los museos, hacia el Sur Brooklyn o el Soho. Y al Este y Oeste tenemos East o West Village.

Este día íbamos al desfile de Brandon Maxwell que tuvo lugar en un hotel en la 5th Avenida enfrente de Central Park, por lo que hicimos las fotos por la tarde en las calles que íbamos recorriendo de camino al desfile. Lo bueno de NY es que es muy muy fácil orientarse y no perderse. Todas las calles van perfectamente ordenadas de la 1 a la 174 en horizontal y las verticales son avenidas de la 1 a la 12 con algún nombre entre medias (aunque desde Houston hacia Downtown los nombres de las calles cambian un poco). En esta zona os recomiendo pasar a tomar el té por el Hotel Plaza, que está buenísimo y después ir a tomar una copa al hotel Dream el domingo después del brunch (el hotel donde suele ir “Manhattan’s elite”).

Second post from the Big Apple.

Although Fashion Weeks consist on dressing as extravagant and different as possible (or more tacky in many occasions), there are also days when I personally feel like dressing more casual and normal. That’s why this time I chose to wear my ripped skinny jeans combined with my white shirt with ruffles and gold buttons, matching my gold booties. The touch that I liked the most and which attracts almost all the attention of the look are just the booties and the denim jacket with all these sequins embroidered as wings. That’s what you asked me the most on my social networks.

The first two days I spent in New York I slept at the Room Mate Grace Hotel which is super well located in Time Square, one of the nicest and most commercial areas of Manhattan. I love to walk around there at any time of the day or night. Here I recommend you eating at Hard Rock or at Bubba Gump, two of the most typical restaurants but also full of tourists. For the rest of the week I switched to the 48 Lex Hotel which is very close, about 10 minutes walking, but a little further to the north and near Central Park. I like to stay in hotels around this area because strolling around Central Park is something I really like to do whenever I visit NY and also because this is the most “central” area of ​​the island. To the North you have the park and the museums, to the South Brooklyn or Soho. And to the East and West we have East or West Village.

This day we were going to the Brandon Maxwell fashion show that took place in a hotel on the 5th Avenue just in front of Central Park, so we took the photos in the afternoon in the streets while we were walking on our way to the show. The good thing about NY is that it is very very easy to get around and not get lost. All the streets are perfectly arranged from 1 to 174 horizontally and the verticals are avenues from 1 to 12 with some names in between (although from Houston to Downtown the names of the streets change a little bit). In this area I recommend you go to have a tea at the Plaza Hotel, which is great and then go to have a drink at the Dream Hotel on Sunday after the brunch (the hotel where usually go “Manhattan’s elite”).

¡VIERNES!

De nuevo finde y yo me voy otra vez de viaje, esta vez a la costa española, a la playita, ¡a Valencia!

Me encanta Valencia, sus playas, mis amigos de allí… así que antes de volverme la semana que viene a los Angeles quería pasarme por allí el finde para descansar y también para asistir mañana al concierto de Taburete. ¿Quién viene?

Anoche estuve con mis amigas en el evento que organizó Pull&Bear en la tienda principal de Madrid con motivo de la presentación de la nueva colección de ropa diseñada por Marc Márquez… ¡y vaya momentazo! No sabía que se iba a acercar tanta gente y tampoco sabía que tenía tantos seguidores tan fieles. ¡Me encantó conoceros a todos! Espero ir viendo las fotos que hicimos en vuestras redes sociales.

Os quería enseñar hoy el último look que escogí para la fría semana de la moda de París. Muchas veces ya sabéis que viajamos con amigos que nos hacen fotos, aunque la mayoría de las bloggers llevan a su novio u hermano. Yo siempre suelo viajar con amigos que me parece más divertido y si no me encuentro a amigos fotógrafos con Asaf, que me hace siempre fotos tan bonitas como estas.

Escogí un conjunto de top y falda negros con encaje y flecos y calcetines rotos con mis zapatos negros de tachuelas. El toque de color lo conseguí con el bolso en tonos azules y rosas.

El lunes os sigo contando más cositas de mi último viaje.

FRIDAY, FRIYAY!

Weekend again and I’m traveling this time to the Spanish coast, to the beach, to Valencia!

I love Valencia, its beaches, my friends there… so before returning next week to Los Angeles I wanted to stop by the weekend there to relax and also to go to Taburete’s concert tomorrow. Who is coming?

Last night I was with my friends at the event that organized Pull & Bear at the flag ship store in Madrid for the presentation of the new collection of clothes designed by Marc Márquez… what a crazy and fun moment! I did not know that so many people were going to come and I did not know that I had so many lovely followers… I loved meeting you all! I hope to see the photos we took on your social networks soon. 

I wanted to show you today the last look I chose for the cold Paris Fashion Week. Many times you know that we travel with friends who take us pictures, although most of the bloggers travel with their boyfriends or brothers. I usually travel with friends because I find more fun and if I do not I use to meet my photographer friends like Asaf, who always takes me amazing pictures as these beautiful ones.

I chose a combination of black top and skirt with lace and fringes and socks with holes with my black studded heels. The touch of color came with my snake print bag in blue and pink.

On Monday I will keep on telling you more things about my last trip.

Día dos de la semana de la moda de Nueva York.

Una de las cosas que ya os he contado mil veces que más me gusta de mi trabajo es poder viajar por el mundo y conocer a gente maravillosa por el camino. A más de 6.000km de distancia de mi casa me he vuelto a encontrar esta vez en NY con mi amiga Maja (a mi lado, en el centro de la foto). Ella también ha venido a descubrir las últimas tendencias para el invierno que viene y también nos encontramos con estas dos amigas suyas.

Otro día de frío frío en la ciudad, y esta vez opté por ponerme unos pantalones midi negros anchos con una camisa y botas en color blanco roto. Las botas si son más abrigadas pero es cierto que este fue el día que peor lo pasé en cuanto a frío se refiere ya que quería que vieseis bien la camisa y tuve que desabrocharme y quitarme el abrigo para algunas fotos… pero bueno, quería enseñaros el detalle del encaje en los hombros y mangas de la camisa, un toque muy lady que me encanta.

Asistimos todas juntas al desfile de Jill Stuart en la zona de Chelsea y después al de Leanne Marshall. Las dos colecciones con prendas muy ponibles y con piezas que bien podría combinar con mi estilo diario.

Por cierto, me habéis preguntado que en qué hotel me estoy quedando. Estoy en el Hotel Park Lane, enfrente de Central Park South. Está en la 5th Avenida con la 59th, y la verdad es que lo escogimos así Bea y yo porque es lo más céntrico ya que estamos al lado de todo tanto caminado como en metro o taxi. Desde mi punto de vista y siempre que el motivo de la visita a NY sea el turismo, esta zona es de las mejores. Cerca de museos, el parque y todos los lugares de obligatoria visita en la ciudad.

Day two of the New York fashion week.

One of the things that I have told you a thousand times and that I like most about my job is to travel around the world and to meet wonderful people along my way. More than 6,000km away from home I have met again this time in NYC my lovely friend Maja (next to me, in the center of the pic). She has also come to discover the latest trends for the coming winter FW16 and we also had a fun time with these two friends of her.

Another super cold day at the city, and this time I chose to wear my black midi trousers with a shirt and boots in off-white. With these booties it is true that I was more warm but this was the worst day I have ever had in my life when talking about the cold. As I wanted you to see the complete look I needed to take off my coat for some of the pictures… but hey, I really wanted you to see the lace details on the shoulders and sleeves of the shirt, a lady touch   that I love.

We attended together to the Jill Stuart fashion show in Chelsea area and then we went to Leanne Marshall. The two collections were very wearable there were many cool pieces that I could perfectly combine with my daily style.

By the way, you have asked me about the hotel where I’m staying. I am at the Park Lane Hotel, just in front of Central Park South. It is located on the 5th Avenue with the 59th, and the truth is that Bea and I chose it because it has a good location and it is so well connected.  We can go to all the “important” places by walking and then by metro or taxi to other shows or events. From my point of view, if you are visiting New York for the first time or just for tourism, this area is one of the best. It is close to the important museums, the park and you can visit all the must-go places around.

¡Buenos días a todos!

Ya de vuelta de Milán y con muchas ganas de seguir trabajando aquí.

Hoy os traigo un post 3 en uno, porque no he parado de hacer fotos y os quería enseñar y contar todo y como me habéis pedido que os recomiende sitios y restaurantes pues aquí lo tenéis.

Como ya sabréis en este viaje he vuelto a coincidir con mi gran amigo Carlos Arnelas. La verdad es que nos lo pasamos genial juntos porque tenemos la misma actitud ante la vida: somos alegres, felices e intentamos disfrutar de todo al máximo. Es cierto que con esta actitud a veces nos toman más el pelo pero yo prefiero ir así por la vida, soy más feliz la verdad. ¡Te quiero mi amor, no cambiemos nunca!

En las primeras fotos estamos en una de las plazas más conocidas de Milán, se llama Piazza XXV Aprile (25 de Abril) y es peatonal siendo el nexo de unión de varias calles importantes de la ciudad como Corso Como o Corso Garibaldi. Por cierto, el restaurante 10 Corso Como es en el que estuve, que es como un patio interior lleno de vegetación, precioso, os lo recomiendo para entrar aunque sea a tomar un café.

En las siguientes fotos nos fuimos a la zona más comercial y de compras (si si, donde me compré mi última adquisición que me tiene loca hehe, el bolso beige de YSL). Es la Vía Montenapoleone y es la más famosa y elegante de Milán donde podréis encontrar todas las firmas más exclusivas. Aquí podéis comer en el restaurante Il Salumaio, muy típico de la ciudad y con una pasta deliciosa.

Por último (¡y tercer cambio de ropa en el mismo día! haha) fuimos a cenar a otro restaurante de pasta al que nos llevó mi amigo Alfredo, al que doy las gracias desde aquí de nuevo por habernos tratado tan bien, que se llamaba Mics. El precio es bastante más asequible y la calidad buenísima. Os recomiendo aparte de la pasta y las croquetas la patata asada con queso trufado por encima… ¡Mmmmm!

Mañana os contaré lo que hicimos el día siguiente en la presentación de la nueva colección de Jimmy Choo y el desfile de Elisabetta Franchi con todos los detalles.

Good morning my friends!

I’m back again from Milan but so happy to keep on working here in Madrid. 

Today I bring you a 3 in 1 post, because I have not stopped taking pictures in Milan and I wanted to show you everything and as you have asked me to recommend you places and restaurants to visit I’ll do it now. 

As I’m sure you already know in this trip I was again with my friend Carlos Arnelas. The truth is that we always spend a great time together because we have the same attitude to life: we are cheerful, happy and try to enjoy everything as much as we can. It is true that with this attitude sometimes people hurt us more easily but I’d rather go through life like this because I am happier, that’s the truth. I love you babe, never change!

In the first pictures we are in one of the most famous squares in Milan, called Piazza XXV Aprile (April 25 Square) and is a walking area being the nexus of some important city streets such as Corso Como and Corso Garibaldi. By the way, the restaurant in 10 Corso Como where we were, the one which is like a courtyard filled with greenery, it’s so lovely, I recommend you to enter even just for a coffee.

In the following photos we went to the shopping area and more commercial  (oh yes, where I bought my last acquisition that has me crazy hehe, my beige YSL shoulder bag hehe). It is Via Montenapoleone and is the most famous and elegant street in Milan where you can find all the most exclusive brands. Here you can eat at the restaurant Il Salumaio, very typical of the city and with a delicious pasta.

Finally (and third change of clothes in the same day! Haha, no worries!) we went to dinner to another super cool restaurant where my friend Alfredo took us, I thank you again from here for being such a good  host, called Mics. The price is quite affordable and very good quality. I recommend you apart from pasta and croquettes toy try the roasted potato with truffled cheese over… Mmmmm! 

Tomorrow I’ll tell you what we did the next day in the presentation of Jimmy Choo new collection and at Elisabetta Franchi fashion show with all the details of where we were.

Con el vertiginoso ritmo de vida que llevo la verdad es que no he tenido tiempo de asistir a todos los desfiles que me hubiese gustado de la @MFSHOW_MEN; o mejor dicho, la semana de la moda para ellos.

Bajo el hashtag #WeLoveBLue, Mirto presentaba su colección para el verano que viene haciendo justo referencia a este color: el azul. Camisas, camisetas, trajes, ropa interior, ropa de playa… todo gira en torno al azul en todas sus tonalidades. Siguen apostando por las rayas y el estilo marinero (que a mi personalmente me encanta) y los estampados florales y se arriesgan con pareos masculinos. ¡No sólo nosotras tenemos que estar guapas en la playa!

Los trajes a medida en tonos azules como el azul eléctrico o el marengo, pasando por el azul cielo me parecen un acierto para el verano ya que vosotros que tenéis que ir de traje todo el año por lo menos introduzcamos colores más veraniegos y divertidos en estos meses del año, ¿no?

Por último me gustaría destacar algo que llevo haciendo toda mi vida y os lo cuento prácticamente desde que empecé mi blog: mezclar estampados. Muchos son reacios a mezclar diferentes prints a la hora de vestir pero desde luego yo soy de las que piensa que “en la moda todo vale” siempre que te sientas a gusto con lo que llevas. Mirto combina flores con cuadros, diferentes estampados florales, rayas y flores… ¿y a que no queda mal el resultado?

Due to the fast rhythm of life that I’m living the last months the truth is that I have not had enough time to attend all the shows that I’d wish to for the @MFSHOW_MEN; or better, the fashion week for him.

Under the hashtag #WeLoveBLue, Mirto presented their collection for next summer just making reference to this color: blue. Shirts, suits, underwear, beachwear… everything around the blue color in all shades. They continue to highlight the stripes and sailor style (which I personally love) and floral prints and they introduce sarongs for the beach for him. Not only woman have to be beautiful at the beach!

The perfect suits in blues like electric blue or charcoal, through the blue sky ones, seem to me a perfect color for the summer as you guys who have to wear suits all year at least introduce more summer and fun colors in these months of the year, don’t you want to?

Finally I would like to highlight something I’ve been doing all my life and I tell you practically since I started my blog: mixing prints. Many of you don’t agree mixing different prints when dressing but certainly I am one of those who thinks that “in fashion anything goes” as long as you feel comfortable with what you are wearing. Mirto mix flowers with checkered suits, different floral prints, stripes and flowers again… and the result is not bad, don’t you think so?

Por fin he podido publicar el post de hoy. Ya sabéis que suelo hacerlo a las 10 de la mañana pero he tenido unos pequeños problemas internos con el servidor debido al aumento del tráfico de visitas, ¡así que por lo menos eso es algo bueno!

Como os comenté hoy os traigo las fotos del vestido que escogí de Juan Duyos para ir el domingo a su desfile y para hacerle una entrevista minutos antes de comenzar su fabuloso espectáculo. Como veis en la entrevista pude entrevistarle a la vez a él y a Antonio Najarro, director del Ballet Nacional Español que fue la fabulosa idea que tuvo Juan para presentar su colección. Desde luego puedo decir que ha sido el desfile más original de todos los que he visto hasta el día de hoy y yo terminé con los pelos de punta. Pinchando AQUÍ podéis ver el emocionante comienzo del desfile que pude grabar desde mi asiento en front row. ¿No es alucinante?

¿Qué os parece este vestido que escogí en color turquesa? Me gustó por las mangas abombadas y las espalda de tirantes y opté por complementos en gris plata y en oro envejecido.

I’ve finally been able to publish today’s post. You know that I usually do at 10 in the morning but we have had a small internal server problems due to increased of the traffic to the web, so at least that’s a good point!

As I commented you today I show you photos of the dress I chose  from my friend Juan Duyos to go to his fashion show last Sunday and for an interview to him minutes before starting his fabulous show. As you can see in the video I could interview him with Antonio Najarro, director of the Spanish National Ballet, which was the fabulous idea that Juan had to present his spring summer 2015 collection. Of course I can say that it has been the most original fashion shows of all that I’ve ever been, all people stood up and applauded excited. What do you think about this dress in turquoise I chose for this event? I liked the puffed sleeves and back straps and I opted for accessories in antiqued silver gray and gold.

Modelos semi desnudos, patrones a medias, piezas sin cosas de camisas, cintas métricas… así comenzó el desfile de Mirto para mostrarnos las propuestas del verano que viene. Claro que poco a poco los diseños fueron cogiendo fuerza y terminaron en trajes perfectos a medida, camisas, incluso ropa interior y pijamas para dormir.

Tengo que reconocer que de este desfile hay dos cosas que me llamaron la atención. La primera es ver (y aseguraría que por primera vez) a hombres “mayores” desfilando. Me parece una idea muy buena porque en realidad esta ropa es para hombres de todas las edades y cuerpos, no sólo para los modelos que salen en las pasarelas. Además he de reconocer que estos señores que desfilaron lo hicieron bastante bien. Otra cosa que me llamó la atención de este desfile y que tampoco creo que haber visto antes es que uno de los modelos apareció en bici, si si, ¡una bici en el catwalk! Increíble pero fue un momento muy divertido ya que además era un modelo muy alegre y gracioso.

Mirto apuesta por coloridos cuadros y rayas siempre dentro de su elegante línea y estilo. Incluso se atrevió a introducir camisones para chico, algo también poco común en la ropa para ellos, pero algo que yo valoro mucho en la moda, innovar.

¿Qué opináis de estas propuestas? ¿Os gustan más o menos que las de ayer?

Semi naked bodies, half patterns, pieces of shirts, measuring tape… that’s the way it started Mirto fashion show with the proposals for the next summer. Gradually gaining strength and designs were perfectly completed, custom shirts and suits, even underwear and pajamas sleeping suits.

I have to admit that in this fashion show there were two things that caught my attention. The first one is to see (and I’m pretty sure that for the first time in my life) “old” men parading. I think that this is a very good idea because these clothes are actually for men of all ages and bodies not only for models that usually come out on the catwalk. I must also recognize that these gentlemen who paraded did it pretty well. Another thing that struck me about this show and I think once again that I haven’t seen it before is that one of the models appeared on a bike, yes yes, a bike on the catwalk! Unbelievable but it was a funny time and he was also a funny model.

Mirto bets for colorful checks and stripes forever following his elegant line and style. Even dared to introduce boys nightshirts, something too strange in clothing for them but a thing that I love in fashion, to innovate.

¡Buenos días!

¿Cómo va vuestro fin de semana? Yo he decido hacer una escapada con mis amigas porque me espera una semana dura y con operación de por medio… pero no os preocupéis que no es nada grave.

Hacía tiempo que no actualizaba la sección It Boy porque soy muy exigente con el contenido y por fin al asistir a la semana de la moda para ellos he podido realizar estas fotos de las propuestas que más me han gustado para la temporada Primavera/Verano 2015.

Estas fotos en concreto son del desfile de Altona Doc. Como veis apuestan por los colores muy vivos, la mezcla de estampados, los contrastes hippies y veraniegos de los collares hawaianos de flores combinados con un estilo más hip hop del pañuelo en la cabeza. Los trajes se llevan tanto largos como cortos y está claro que el estampado de cuadros es el protagonista mezclado con prendas deportivas. La clave está en la mezcla como ya he dicho muchas veces en mis posts.

Y desde luego menudos modelos nos hemos encontrado este año en la pasarela, yo no se si es que el año pasado no me fijé bien pero desde luego no hay ninguno feo eh? hehehe.

Morning people!

How is going your weekend? I decided to make a quick trip with my friends because I will have a very busy week and even with an operation on tuesday… but don’t worry because it’s nothing serious.

I hadn’t update the It Boy section of my blog because I’m very picky about the content and finally I attend the fashion week for him so I could take these pictures of the proposals that I really liked for Spring/Summer 2015 season.

These photos are from Altona Doc brand and they bet on bright colors, mixing prints, hippies and summer contrasts with the hawaiian flower necklaces combined with more hip hop style with the headscarf. You also can see both: long and short colorful suits and it is clear that the checkered pattern is the protagonist mixed with sportswear. The key is in the mix as I have said many times in my posts.

And of course we have found all these handsome models on the catwalk this year, I do not know if the last year I did not notice it but this year there are no one ugly eh? hehehe.

Una vez más hemos vivido la semana de la moda para ellos con los nuevos diseños para la Primavera/Verano 2015 pero esta vez no ha sido como las anteriores… No se si ha sido porque El Corte Inglés se ha metido de por medio pero desde luego estos modelos tan guapos, altos y sobre todo simpáticos no son a lo que yo por lo menos estaba acostumbrada a ver en anteriores ediciones. Os dejo fotos con algunos de ellos y este fin de semana haremos un repaso de alguno de los desfiles que más me han gustado a mi, ¡así que estad atentos!

En las fotos salgo también con mi compi y amigo Carlos Arnelas que además es blogger oficial de ECI y con mi amigo Luis Yanes que sólo puedo decir que es un crack.

Como venía directa de una grabación para mis joyas favoritas, Ararat by Yanes, no me dio tiempo de cambiarme de ropa. Por lo tanto llevo un vestido color block en blanco y negro donde la falda es lisa y el cuerpo es de tirantes con pequeños volantes. Opté por mis sandalias de cordones en estampado de serpiente y cómo no por un anillo y una combinación de pulseras muy original mezclando brazaletes anchos con pulseras de tornillo. Como siempre un maxi bolso para poder meter todos mis imprescindibles del día a día.

Espero que paséis un buen día y fin de semana y mañana acordaros de revisar la sección de chico para conocer las nuevas propuestas de los diseñadores españoles de cara al verano que viene.

Once again we have attended the men fashion week with the new designs for the Spring/Summer 2015 but this time it has not been like the last year… I don’t know if it was because El Corte Inglés has gotten in between but of course these very handsome, tall and mostly friendly models are not what I was used to see in the last previous editions. I show you some pics with some of them and this weekend we will review some of the shows that I liked most, so stay tuned! 

In the pics I’m also with my cool friend Carlos Arnelas who actually is an official blogger of ECI and my super friend Luis Yanes which I only can say that is a top. 

As I came directly from a shooting with my favorite jewelry brand, Ararat by Yanes, I didn’t have time to change my clothes. So I was wearing a color block dress in black and white where the skirt is smooth and the body is a top with small wavelets. I chose my sandals with laces in snake print and how not a ring and these very original combination of bracelets in gold, silver, and rose gold. Always a maxi bag to bring with me my essentials for the day a day.
