Me encantan las rayas.

Ya sabéis que no soy muy de estampados pero las rayas pienso que quedan bien en cualquier época del año… y además las hay diferentes según las estaciones. En invierno veis que llevo más blancas y negras mientras que ahora en verano me arriesgo más con las azules y blancas como la camisa que llevo hoy. Me encantó por los divertidos parches que lleva pegados, que por cierto chicas, se despegan en cuanto se lava la camisa así que he optado por coserlos y listo.

Estoy bastante agobiada de trabajo estas semanas por varias propuestas que tengo sobre la mesa de cara a Septiembre y que quiero valorar y pensar bien antes de decidir nada… y además me vuelvo a ir de viaje este fin de semana y los próximos, ya no me quedo en Madrid… Por eso estoy un poco más desconectada de las redes sociales estos días pero intento siempre responder vuestras dudas cuando tengo tiempo.

Respecto a mi trabajo y debido a algún comentario que he leído quiero decir, aunque lo he dicho mil veces en vídeos y por aquí, que yo no he tenido contactos. Nunca. Cuando le dije a mis padres que me iba de PwC me dijeron que me apoyaban siempre en todo lo que decidiese en mi vida pero que ellos no podían ayudarme en el tema de contactos porque no conocían a nadie en este mundo. Ni yo. Así que todo lo que veis, TODO, ha sido fruto de mucho mucho trabajo, muchos días y noches largos, muchas lágrimas derrochadas con mi familia y amigos cercanos y, sobre todo, mucha ilusión y nunca tirar la toalla (#nevergiveup). Sólo quería una vez más que quedase claro que yo me metí en esto sin conocer a nadie y empezando de cero. Y que de hecho me he encontrado y me sigo encontrando a personas que te hacen mucho daño… supongo que como en todas partes desgraciadamente, ¡así que andad con ojo chicos!

I do love stripes.

You know I don’t usually like to wear prints but I think stripes look good at any time of the year… and there are also different stripes depending on the season. In winter you see that I wear more black and white stripes while in summer time I risk a little bit more with blue and white as the shirt that I am wearing today. I loved it for the fun patches glued. By the way girls, they take off when you wash the shirt so I decided to sew them. 

I’m pretty overworked these weeks with some different proposals that I have for the coming months and I want to study and value them with calm before deciding anything… and I also will be traveling again this weekend and the coming ones, so I will not stay in Madrid anymore… so I’m a little disconnected from my social networks these days but I always try to answer your questions whenever I have time.

About my work and some comment that I have read, although I have said it a thousand times on my videos and here, I want to say that I had no contacts when I started. Any. Never. When I told my parents that I was leaving PwC to do this, they always supported me but they clearly told me that they could not help me with any contact on this world. Either do I. So everything you see now, everything, is the result of much hard work, many hours, days and nights, many tears with my family and close friends and, above all, great enthusiasm and never giving up on my dreams. I just wanted to once again make it clear here. I started into this without knowing anyone and I started from zero. Actually I’ve found and I keep finding many people who are bad persons, they only want to hurt you or gain something from you… I guess like everywhere unfortunately, so be always careful my friends!

Estoy segura de que muchas veces sabéis que un simple complemento lo dice todo… Pues en mi look de hoy se lleva todo el protagonismo este sombrero con flores.No sólo me encantó el color negro y el material de paja sino que el toque de las flores en rosa palo me parecen un detalle muy folclórico, ¿y a vosotros? Para seguir con el color negro lo combiné con una cazadora de cuero acolchada esta vez, una falda que tengo desde el año pasado blanca plisada por debajo de la rodilla, una camisa blanca con pespuntes en negro y un crop top negro encima. Otro toque que me gustó fueron los calcetines ejecutivos cortos con mis sandalias plateadas que ya he vuelto a sacar del armario para la nueva temporada.

I’m sure you know that sometimes a simple complement says it all… For my today’s look all the attention goes to this flower hat. I didn’t just love the black color and the straw material but the touch of the soft pink flowers give it a very folkloric detail, don’t you think so? To continue with the black color I combined it with a quilted leather jacket this time, a white pleated skirt below the knee and a white shirt with black details with a black crop top over. Another touch I liked was the black executive short socks with my silver sandals that I have already drawn from my closet for the new season.

Ayer 17 de febrero se clausuró en el pabellón 14 de Ifema la semana de la moda de Madrid. Los diseñadores del EGO mostraron sus creaciones más atrevidas basándose en estudios de mercado, artistas de los años ’50, contrastes entre el cielo y la tierra, formas y líneas desiguales, convertir accesorios básicos en un must en las prendas del próximo invierno, etc.

El ganador del premio Samsung EGO de esta edición ha sido Ernesto Naranjo con su colección ‘Límite’ que busca contrastar con diseños hasta ahora impensables el caos de la ciudad con la tranquilidad del cielo. Este estudiante de diseño de la universidad Saint Martins de Londres ha conseguido llamar la atención del público con una colección de prendas oversize, pliegues en los tejidos gruesos y botas con plataformas de gomaespuma. Tuve la suerte de entrevistarle rápidamente después de su desfile en el kissing room y os dejo la entrevista a continuación.

También os adjunto la entrevista que le hice al otro joven diseñador Miguel Álex que nos mostró una colección plagada de colores soft, cortes desiguales, unión de las prendas a través de líneas rectas, faldas, trajes y pieles que me pareció de lo más elegante para una mujer cool en la ciudad.

Yesterday (February 17th) was the last day of Madrid’s fashion week for the fw’14-’15 collection. EGO designers (the new comers in the fashion spanish designers atmosphere) showed their creations based on market research, artists of the ’50s , contrasts between heaven and earth, uneven lines and shapes , convert basic accessories into a must for next winter season, etc.

The winner of this edition Samsung EGO award was Ernesto Naranjo with his collection ‘Limit’. Designs contrasted the chaos of the city and the quietness of the sky. This design student from Saint Martin’s College in London has drawn the attention of the public with a collection of oversize clothes, folds in thick fabrics and platform foam boots. I had the opportunity to quickly interview him after the show in the kissing room (see below attached interview).

I also attached the interview I did to the other young spanish designer Miguel Alex who showed us a collection full of soft colors, uneven cuts, union garments through straight lines, skirts, suits and fur clothes which I found very elegant for a cool woman in town.
