Con el vertiginoso ritmo de vida que llevo la verdad es que no he tenido tiempo de asistir a todos los desfiles que me hubiese gustado de la @MFSHOW_MEN; o mejor dicho, la semana de la moda para ellos.

Bajo el hashtag #WeLoveBLue, Mirto presentaba su colección para el verano que viene haciendo justo referencia a este color: el azul. Camisas, camisetas, trajes, ropa interior, ropa de playa… todo gira en torno al azul en todas sus tonalidades. Siguen apostando por las rayas y el estilo marinero (que a mi personalmente me encanta) y los estampados florales y se arriesgan con pareos masculinos. ¡No sólo nosotras tenemos que estar guapas en la playa!

Los trajes a medida en tonos azules como el azul eléctrico o el marengo, pasando por el azul cielo me parecen un acierto para el verano ya que vosotros que tenéis que ir de traje todo el año por lo menos introduzcamos colores más veraniegos y divertidos en estos meses del año, ¿no?

Por último me gustaría destacar algo que llevo haciendo toda mi vida y os lo cuento prácticamente desde que empecé mi blog: mezclar estampados. Muchos son reacios a mezclar diferentes prints a la hora de vestir pero desde luego yo soy de las que piensa que “en la moda todo vale” siempre que te sientas a gusto con lo que llevas. Mirto combina flores con cuadros, diferentes estampados florales, rayas y flores… ¿y a que no queda mal el resultado?

Due to the fast rhythm of life that I’m living the last months the truth is that I have not had enough time to attend all the shows that I’d wish to for the @MFSHOW_MEN; or better, the fashion week for him.

Under the hashtag #WeLoveBLue, Mirto presented their collection for next summer just making reference to this color: blue. Shirts, suits, underwear, beachwear… everything around the blue color in all shades. They continue to highlight the stripes and sailor style (which I personally love) and floral prints and they introduce sarongs for the beach for him. Not only woman have to be beautiful at the beach!

The perfect suits in blues like electric blue or charcoal, through the blue sky ones, seem to me a perfect color for the summer as you guys who have to wear suits all year at least introduce more summer and fun colors in these months of the year, don’t you want to?

Finally I would like to highlight something I’ve been doing all my life and I tell you practically since I started my blog: mixing prints. Many of you don’t agree mixing different prints when dressing but certainly I am one of those who thinks that “in fashion anything goes” as long as you feel comfortable with what you are wearing. Mirto mix flowers with checkered suits, different floral prints, stripes and flowers again… and the result is not bad, don’t you think so?

¡Buenos días de Sábado!

En la sección de chico de hoy, It Boy, quiero hablaros de la tienda de moda que mi amigo, fotógrafo y blogger también José Cabral, tiene en Lisboa. ¿Lo mejor de todo? Que también se puede comprar online aquí: J.LISBON.

Como él mismo me ha explicado esta tienda es básicamente su proyecto más importante ya que es donde tiene las marcas que más le han inspirado todos estos años a la hora de vestir y de tomar sus fotos de moda y además él escoge personalmente cada prenda que se vende.

Con esta nueva iniciativa crea él mismo nuevas referencias estéticas basadas en el ‘easy going’ y en un cómodo y moderno ‘street style’. De esta forma busca que los clientes puedan descubrir cada producto en el entorno y contexto visual en el que se llevará esa prenda. Por eso las fotos son muy cuidadas ya que no son modelos reales (aunque lo parecen, son guapísimos hehe) sino que son amigos suyos cada uno con un estilo muy marcado y diferente como podéis ver. Desde mi punto de vista esta es la clave de su firma, que tiene gran variedad, para todos los gustos.

Espero que os guste esta propuesta de hoy donde es el propio Jose el que prepara todos los ‘stylings’, y viste y fotografía a la gente de su entorno para ir creando así la imagen que quiere para su propia tienda.

Good morning Saturday!

New post up on my section for him, It Boy. Today I want to talk about the fashion store of my friend, profesional photographer and also blogger José Cabral, that he has in Lisbon, Portugal. The good thing? That you can buy it all online here: J. LISBON.

As he has explained to me this store is basically his most important project because it is where he shows us all his inspiration through all these years working in the fashion industry. He has been dressing and taking photos of cool people for his blog and now he has translate that into this store where he personally chooses each clothe that it is sold.

With this new initiative he creates his own new fashion references based on the ‘easy going’ and on a comfortable outfits, like a modern ‘street style’. Thus seeking customers to discover each product in the environment and visual context in which the garment will be. So the pictures are well maintained and they are not real models (though they seem, are gorgeous hehe) but who are his friends each with a very distinct and different style as you can see.To me this is the key: here yo can find any cloth whatever your style is, so that’s the good point. 

I hope you like today’s new proposal for you guys. My friend Jose himself prepares all the ‘stylings’, clothes and he take all these amazing pics of people around him to create the image he wants to share for his own store.

Modelos semi desnudos, patrones a medias, piezas sin cosas de camisas, cintas métricas… así comenzó el desfile de Mirto para mostrarnos las propuestas del verano que viene. Claro que poco a poco los diseños fueron cogiendo fuerza y terminaron en trajes perfectos a medida, camisas, incluso ropa interior y pijamas para dormir.

Tengo que reconocer que de este desfile hay dos cosas que me llamaron la atención. La primera es ver (y aseguraría que por primera vez) a hombres “mayores” desfilando. Me parece una idea muy buena porque en realidad esta ropa es para hombres de todas las edades y cuerpos, no sólo para los modelos que salen en las pasarelas. Además he de reconocer que estos señores que desfilaron lo hicieron bastante bien. Otra cosa que me llamó la atención de este desfile y que tampoco creo que haber visto antes es que uno de los modelos apareció en bici, si si, ¡una bici en el catwalk! Increíble pero fue un momento muy divertido ya que además era un modelo muy alegre y gracioso.

Mirto apuesta por coloridos cuadros y rayas siempre dentro de su elegante línea y estilo. Incluso se atrevió a introducir camisones para chico, algo también poco común en la ropa para ellos, pero algo que yo valoro mucho en la moda, innovar.

¿Qué opináis de estas propuestas? ¿Os gustan más o menos que las de ayer?

Semi naked bodies, half patterns, pieces of shirts, measuring tape… that’s the way it started Mirto fashion show with the proposals for the next summer. Gradually gaining strength and designs were perfectly completed, custom shirts and suits, even underwear and pajamas sleeping suits.

I have to admit that in this fashion show there were two things that caught my attention. The first one is to see (and I’m pretty sure that for the first time in my life) “old” men parading. I think that this is a very good idea because these clothes are actually for men of all ages and bodies not only for models that usually come out on the catwalk. I must also recognize that these gentlemen who paraded did it pretty well. Another thing that struck me about this show and I think once again that I haven’t seen it before is that one of the models appeared on a bike, yes yes, a bike on the catwalk! Unbelievable but it was a funny time and he was also a funny model.

Mirto bets for colorful checks and stripes forever following his elegant line and style. Even dared to introduce boys nightshirts, something too strange in clothing for them but a thing that I love in fashion, to innovate.

Una vez más hemos vivido la semana de la moda para ellos con los nuevos diseños para la Primavera/Verano 2015 pero esta vez no ha sido como las anteriores… No se si ha sido porque El Corte Inglés se ha metido de por medio pero desde luego estos modelos tan guapos, altos y sobre todo simpáticos no son a lo que yo por lo menos estaba acostumbrada a ver en anteriores ediciones. Os dejo fotos con algunos de ellos y este fin de semana haremos un repaso de alguno de los desfiles que más me han gustado a mi, ¡así que estad atentos!

En las fotos salgo también con mi compi y amigo Carlos Arnelas que además es blogger oficial de ECI y con mi amigo Luis Yanes que sólo puedo decir que es un crack.

Como venía directa de una grabación para mis joyas favoritas, Ararat by Yanes, no me dio tiempo de cambiarme de ropa. Por lo tanto llevo un vestido color block en blanco y negro donde la falda es lisa y el cuerpo es de tirantes con pequeños volantes. Opté por mis sandalias de cordones en estampado de serpiente y cómo no por un anillo y una combinación de pulseras muy original mezclando brazaletes anchos con pulseras de tornillo. Como siempre un maxi bolso para poder meter todos mis imprescindibles del día a día.

Espero que paséis un buen día y fin de semana y mañana acordaros de revisar la sección de chico para conocer las nuevas propuestas de los diseñadores españoles de cara al verano que viene.

Once again we have attended the men fashion week with the new designs for the Spring/Summer 2015 but this time it has not been like the last year… I don’t know if it was because El Corte Inglés has gotten in between but of course these very handsome, tall and mostly friendly models are not what I was used to see in the last previous editions. I show you some pics with some of them and this weekend we will review some of the shows that I liked most, so stay tuned! 

In the pics I’m also with my cool friend Carlos Arnelas who actually is an official blogger of ECI and my super friend Luis Yanes which I only can say that is a top. 

As I came directly from a shooting with my favorite jewelry brand, Ararat by Yanes, I didn’t have time to change my clothes. So I was wearing a color block dress in black and white where the skirt is smooth and the body is a top with small wavelets. I chose my sandals with laces in snake print and how not a ring and these very original combination of bracelets in gold, silver, and rose gold. Always a maxi bag to bring with me my essentials for the day a day.
