Olivia would wear it!

IMG_1045

(@itgirlmarta).

¡Muchos besos!

M.C.

One more Friday in my life that ends like always: from meeting to meeting until late afternoon.

So today I show you again another of my options for my day a day. I’ve rescue from my closet my favorite black booties with silver buckle and details. I was wearing a pair of gray skinny jeans with a gray shirt also with “Olivia would wear it” sentence. You know that I love shirts with message, do you really think that Olivia would wear this look? hehehe. On top I chose one of my favorite jackets for this winter with prince of wales print and black borders. My black glasses, a vintage style watch and a black maxi bag were my accessories.

Hope you have good Friday and weekend and stay tuned to my social networks because tomorrow we have a nice trip to Castilla La Mancha and I’ll be telling you all the details! (@itgirlmarta).

A lot of kisses!

Tile color rocks it

IMG_0884

M.C.

It’s not valentino red… it’s not brown… either orange… it is tile color and it is becoming more trendy as the season goes forward.

I couldn’t resist anymore to show you this blazer in this color who I have personally designed for me, what do you think about it? You know that I am a very simple woman and I tend more to the classic style, because of that the wide and long cut and double breasted but I also wanted to add a more modern and rocker touch with those golden chains on the shoulders. As I have just mentioned before you know that for my day a day I like to dress up with simple colors without much print, so I combined this jacket with a black t-shirt and black ripped jeans. All the complements were in gold too: a belt with golden letters, some necklaces, a black shoulder bag and my XL sunnies. All matching my gold slip-on sneakers.

Have a nice day!

Save the date: satin floral dress

IMG_0264

Besos,

M.C.

As Christmas time is coming now is time of familiar meetings, visits from those who live outside, heavy meals and dinners and of course party time, so I’m going to show you during these coming weeks some of my fav options to dress well on these special occasions.

As you have already seen last week on my social networks I was wearing this satin dress with floral print to the launch event of the new collection of a famous Spanish jewelry. I loved it since the first time I saw it: long skirt above the knee, not too short for events like these, long sleeves and closed at the neck but with a nice and from my point of view very sexy neckline back. As the  flowers are in pastel colors I combined it with my sandals with black studs and nude and black colors. I chose a small golden clutch square style with a small chain around my wrist. Once again I makeup and did my hair myself because in the end it is the way I feel more pretty and comfortable.

What do you think about this proposal for a especial date that we usually have in this time of the year?

XOXO,

M.C.

My denim dress!

IMG_0512

M.C.

What can be better than buying clothes that you like? That they personalize them just for you!

It is very fashionable to wear custom accessories and complements (such as jewelry, bags…) but when I went to one of the most famous denim stores in Madrid and I fell in love with this denim dress I couldn’t believe that they would personalize it for me, amazing! And as you can imagine I chose my logo “it-girl by Marta Carriedo” to insert it into the sleeve of the dress. I think that this is an original and funny way to customize our clothes.

These pictures were taken again in Bilbao this weekend where as you can see the weather was perfect both days and we could stroll around through one of its most popular parks: Doña Casilda’s Park or more commonly known as Parque de los Patos. Have you been there?

As I have said on more than one occasion I did not like what to wear tights in winter… and I especially hate them in transparent color, I think I’ven ever worn them. So I take advantage of these high temperatures to continue wearing dresses with socks although you can see my whitish legs hehe. I chose to combine the denim dress with complements in burgundy: oversize style wool jacket, my hat with feathers and my comfy booties. Again I opted for my shoulder bag in cream that I carried with me for the weekend and my new black sunnies.

Have a nice day everyone, big kiss!

Back in Bilbao for the weekend

IMG_0729

M.C.

Morning world!

I’m pretty sure that many of you have seen on my social networks that this weekend I have came back to Basque lands to continue  enjoying its stunning landscape, exquisite cuisine and of course its wonderful people.

This time the stroll was quite long and nice because once again the weather was perfect, the sun shines almost every day. Temperatures have not dropped below 20 degrees during the day, amazing! So we take the opportunity to climb to Artxanda Mount in the funny funicular. What a  view from up there of Bilbao! If you have not yet come up I recommend you to do it. After we got off and walked again by the river side where I was again surprised with the elegant architecture of its buildings and the reddish color of the falling leaves in autumn. We ended up at Plaza Nueva eating at the sun on a terrace where I met some of you, how nice is to meet you wherever I go!

As you can imagine I chose a very comfortable look to walk all day: an ethnic wool jacket, a white ribbed sweater white below, a burgundy ripped jeans, my new gold slip on sneakers that are very comfy so I’m going to wear them a lot and my new bag in cream color (I haven’t one in this color so I’m sure I’m going to wear it many days). As always when is a sunny day I chose a pair of sunglasses, this time ‘so real’ model in black.

Let’s rock your Monday!

Royal Palace of Aranjuez

IMG_0106

M.C.

Morning people!

One of the things that I like most when the weekend arrives is to get away from Madrid for a few hours and go to “rediscover” typical and charming places near the capital. It really makes me disconnect of my working week.

Last weekend you saw that we visited the Royal Palace of Aranjuez. Of course it is a mandatory trip because the Palace is beautiful inside and you can see over 30 different rooms for just €9 per person. It is amazing the contrast of colors of the velvet curtains and walls of the rooms (green, red and gold colors which are very typical of royalty) the Moorish-style rooms (“smoking rooms”) or complete rooms adorned with china porcelain, even the walls! Its majestic central staircase with golden railings, the carriages and baggage they used at those days… and of course the wonderful wedding dresses that our last Queen Sofia, and the current Queen of Spain, Letizia, wore on their respective weddings.

It’s also amazing to walk through the gardens along the river road until you reach the old barges (ships in which kings, princes and princesses and generally the upper class went for a walk when the weather allowed it). All of them made of wood but taking care even of the slightest details: identification shields, angels, mermaids, … mixed again with velvet and gold thread tassels.

Also in Aranjuez is the confluence of two important rivers: the Tajo and Jarama. It’s lovely to see the vegetation that arises on both sides of them and you can walk and eat on the banks of the river typical Spanish food in traditional restaurants.

This time I chose a very simple look with a pair of high waisted jeans, a striped shirt and a black coat and boots. The hat is a must to me in this kind of autumnal road trips.

Happy Saturday everyone!

and many kisses from Bilbao! (yes I’m back again discovering new places of this amazing city in the North of Spain).

I love this midi pants!

IMG_0186

¡VIERNES!

¿y a vosotros?

¡Mil besos!

M.C.

HEY FRIDAY!

And I show you today the shooting of the outfit that you liked so much this Wednesday on my social networks.

This is the look I chose for Mujer Hoy Beauty Awards. Being a morning event (it began at 9: 30h) I thought that the best option was to wear warm pants to keep myself warm. You know that the midi pants (pants whit height between the ankle and knee kind of) are more fashionable than ever, and these in camel color and knit fabric are so cool, I loved them from the first sight. As they are high waist I put on a ribbed black crop top with long sleeves and a leopard belt with gold details at the waist. The short fur black coat was enough to fight against the low temperatures in the morning because as the day was coming the sun was shinning and heated the complete body. A black bag with gold accents, a gold necklace with M from Martha and my black suede heels with gold metal behind were the complements I chose. Clearly the more modern touch of the style were my new glasses ‘So Real’ model which have no saddle nose, I love them! Don’t you? I’ve chosen the black with silver frame because I think that is the model that I can match better with almost everything on my closet.

Hope you have a good weekend but remember that I will show you tomorrow a very special post about my visit to the Royal Palace of Aranjuez.

A lot of kisses!

Tea time with Sara Navarro

_R9B3355

M.C.

Morning world!

Don’t you know how much I like to meet again people that you match perfectly and you know that they have also been there from the very beggining trusting and investing on you… I say all this for my friend and prestigious designer Sara Navarro.

This week I had the opportunity to stop by her office to discover her new invention that I’m sure it will surprise you as much as me: the ‘porta-shoes’. Honestly I say (and I work in the fashion world) who had not yet seen a bag in which we could carry our shoes independently where we have the rest of our stuff but also not notice anything, it’s awesome! So in today’s video Sara tells me how this idea has become true and all the work and effort behind it, hours and hours of new patterns to make a separate compartment at the bottom of the bag and also comes with a special case to put inside her shoes.

And how it couldn’t be otherwise, I took advantage of my visit to have a look at her winter collection and pick one of her models to wear it and introduce it into my daily life, what do you think about these golden aged booties? I remind you that SarahWorld  works with some organizations helping women in developing countries who sew and weave these wool and fur leathers.

I hope you to enjoy this video as much as I do and stay tuned to my social networks because today is another day with several interesting events…

XOXO,

M.C.

The only way is maxi trench

IMG_9963

¡Muchos besos!

M.C.

Midweek and I’m wearing once again my favorite trend for this winter: oversized clothes.

Today it is time for another khaki green trench coat combined with my ripped jeans boyfriend style. I chose a wool sweater turtleneck in light green which is very warm for this time of the year. To give a more elegant touch to the look I chose my new black suede heels with gold metal details on the heel, do you like them? And the touch of color came again with my red shoulder bag with gold studs and chain matching with my lips. As always I was wearing some thin rings with stones and my red lips ring.

Now I’m going to Mujer Hoy Awards, I will tell you everything through my social networks (@itgirlmarta) and this night I’ll be attending a special party… so stay tuned!

A lot of kisses!

My SkinCeuticals Diary: diagnosis

_R9B2963

Besos,

M.C.

Morning my friends!

At last I can tell you about one of my more special collaborations, which I liked most in terms of products and beauty treatments.

You know I always give special attention to the products that I utilise for my face because it’s my most “sensitive” body part where small pimples and marks come from … And while it is true that there is a high level risk by hormonal components that jeopardise our skin, there are also creams that help us fight them, just know how to choose the most suitable one for our skin type.

So when I sat down with the SkinCeuticals team to test a new laser integrated with a diary and continued their treatment program products I found a very good idea and especially quality, so I agreed delighted.

The first thing I want to say is that, nevertheless the skin type that you may have is very important that every single day you select carefully the best product fit according to your skin type  and give the best use to your products. I always use particular pharmacy products for the care of my face because they are the ones that give me more confidence and with whom I have always gotten better results. That is why now with this SkinCeuticals daily treatment I feel safe and it’s the best I could use on my skin as it is one of the most prestigious firms worldwide recommended by leading specialists, doctors and pharmacists and also it is a leader in anti-oxidants products.

What the laser Emerge that I have tried in my face does, is to penetrate the skin, NOT TO DESTROY OR BURN IT as the more aggressive ones. Therefore it forms small columns form which allow for much faster recovery and renewal generating skin collagen and elastin. It is especially suitable for skin with wrinkles and acne scars rojetes. In delicate treatments as the aforementioned, me myself I always go for the best professionals because excellence matters, I do not put myself in the hands of anyone, because of that I chose the clinic of the prestigious Dr. José Vicente Lajo.

Although as you will see in the following videos and photos from the first session I’ve already noticed my skin much smoother and luminous, it was amazing when I looked myself after the laser (it takes around 30-45 minutes) in the mirror and I really realise how effective it had been.

As I have mentioned before this laser is not abrasive or dangerous just because it penetrates into the skin, it doesn’t eliminate it as it is usually done in other treatments. And thanks to the products that I began to use from SkinCeuticals I could continue with my normal live. In fact I went to two events where many of you saw me and I told you in person (my job as a personal shopper in the ABC Serrano Shopping Centre and then rewardStyle meeting in Madrid).

I’ll tell you how it all evolves in the following “diaries” so stay tuned!

XOXO
