‘IT’

IMG_5796

Good morning guys!

I can tell you that after many many time this weekend I finally have had some time to ocus on my work and on the people I really love and above all to do things that I really enjoy…

The “guilty” person is my indian friend, Abbi, who is staying here in Madrid for a month and I have to show her this beautiful city, so I will be her guide for the next coming weeks!

And of course I also had a moment to do two things that I do like: walking around and reading. I can certainly tell you that this is my favorite book: ‘IT’, by the it girl Alexa Chung. And I do not like it for the history because it really doesn’t have one, or for the pics even when they are very good, but for the sentimental value to me. I wanted this book for a long time ago, so when one of my best friends gave it to me for my birthday with and a beautiful dedication inside you can imagine my happiness… that’s the true value for me. I love meeting all kinds of people wherever I go. I am like that, always try to speak with everyone. I know that many of them have passed, or will pass for my life but when someone is really important you realize that from the first day and you know that that person will always be there no matter the distance or the time. Those are the people we really need to take care of and for maintain around us, and I say this as advice to you: take care of them because unfortunately there are very few people like this nowadays.

As we have been enjoying a cloudy but with high temperatures weekend I chose a very spring look. I’m wearing a light blue denim shirt with washed effect, a white skirt with ruffles and lace details and my soft pink flats matching the pink book. My bag that you already know and my maxi new sunnies in purple color that I do love! were my accessories.

Let start this new week!

¡Besos!

I really like All Star sneakers from Converse… the lifetime ones, from always. Hands up who has not had a pair of them at their closet!

I remember the first time I bought my first All Stars. I must have been about 15 years old and I had tickets to go to a concert that although I do not remember exactly what was the group it probably should be El Canto del Loco, La Oreja de Van Gogh, Estopa or one of these top groups that we really loved in those years… so I told my mother clearly “to concerts people go dress up in jeans, shirt and with these sneakers, Mom, please!” and my mother that certainly for me of course is the best mother in the world, went with me to Fuencarral street in Madrid to choose a pair of these sneakers for her lovely daughter hehehe. Honestly I must confess that I’m about to cry remembering these kind of stories…

Anyway, since these shoes arrive to the market they have been a success year after year in all kinds of people and of course the most important celebrities have wore them in every way and for many kind of event: from singers to actors through bloggers and great icons of fashion have adapted them to thousands of outfits. What surprises me most is that in many occasions they have not only wore them in their daily looks but even at important events like in red carpets (specifically in these pictures we can see Kristen Stewart wearing her black booties combined with a red and black dress in some international awards). And it could not be otherwise our worldwide it girl, Olivia Palermo, wears perfectly the pink sequins model to go for a walk with her husband Johannes Huebl. I personally think that the best one which has combined these shoes better is another of my fav it girls and a fashion international icon, Alexa Chung, wearing them with tight skinny jeans and a striped t-shirt and also with black leggings and white shirt, two simple looks getting a perfect casual outfit for our day a day.

And now tell me… which one is your favourite?

XOXO,

M.C.

Capri trousers

Today I want to talk about an article that caught my attention yesterday. As Vogue magazine tells us, HEREcapri pants are definitely in fashion.
One of the first women that wore them were Grace Kelly (I’ve got even the last official book of her life) and Audrey Hepburn (I love almost all her movies), who felt liberated from skirts and dresses, maintaining elegance and femininity.
I’ve been wearing different kind of capri trousers that I’ve shown you in my posts… do you remember this white night wiht this white jeans which are a must have for this summer?  Or what about one of my great discoveries, this studded leggings that many of you told me how much you like them? I could continue with many other pants with florar print, military green, black… but the main feature for all of them is that they are capri style. And what is this? what means “capri”?
Well, in few words, a capri trouser is a pant that goes between the middle and the end of the leg and they stylized as any. You can find many with zippers on the sides, or you can do it by yourself too! As you have seen in many of my outfits, I usually make a fold at the end of my jeans so that they are shorter. But they stylized even more if you wear heels… That’s the perfect outfit for me: a capri pant with heels and a simple shirt! 😉
 Models afterwork…
And here you have my favorite fashion icons wearing capri trousers:
Alexa Chung
Poppy Delevigne
Sienna Miller
Kate Moss
Olivia Palermo (my fav fashion icon because I think that my style is similar to hers)
This is one of my favs looks, and she’s wearing a jacket like mine from Camden Town market that I showed you yesterday! Link: Oxford style jacket
Finally, here we have a fashion confrontation: Poppy vs Olivia. Who do you think is wearing these capri jeans better?
I wait for your answers!
XOXO
